I agree with you but there are some families who say they don't want "Dowry". The boy marries the girl and later make the life of the girl a misery by making excuses they are taking such and such revenge or its their right to abuse her as she is from a poor family. These are good people Allah fearing where the girl had said no dowry but still parents gave her a little and cash 275000 rupees decades ago
