Big fan of the podcast Julian. This was one of the best episodes so far, 3 hours of former front office and player stories and just talking shop. Gotta love it
I wonder how many people know that the tuck rule actually cost the Patriots a game earlier in that season. "In 2001, the tuck rule came into play in a football game between the New England Patriots and the New York Jets. The Patriots had tackled Jets quarterback Vinny Testaverde, causing him to fumble, but it was ruled that he was in the midst of throwing."
I've never had patience for Raiders fans when it comes to this game. Something like this happens every year to every team. You think you have it won... then you don't. The best teams go out and finish. Instead you have that year's Raiders who threw up their hands and cried about it. I haven't checked but I'm pretty sure they were allowed to go out on the field after that call and finish the game. Instead of being angry, Raiders fans should be embarrassed by that game because their team gave up. (A little harsh. Tough love.)
Why should a fan be ashamed about their team giving up? They can be disappointed but the only people that should be ashamed are the PLAYERS. I bet ur the type of guy who says “we” or “us” when u talk about ur favorite team.
Always hated this logic: yeah we got away with x and you got screwed over but we still had to do y and z to win Yeah but you didnt do x, so it really doesn't matter. That's not the way it works in a correctly called game.
Yea and raiders first round pic kicker Sebastian janikowski missed a kick after the BS tuck rule call. Adam vinateri hit so many clutch kicks. He should be mentioned more with Tom’s career.
@@robwoodsworth2962 what's pathetic, is that u don't know history .. u only know what u tube are Google tell's u ,even if u witness it u wouldn't understand what u saw🤔

Get Ernie and Scott in together Jules !!!
Scott can say whatever he wants but it’s the Tuck game/ Tuck rule game
Nice to hear stories behind/beyond the TV view.

Just remember the phantom penalty on Sugar Bear Hamilton

@@jdt9177 You're overthinking it. In that case why should fans be angry?
It's a fair point.
The Pats don’t play Hells Bells, the Gmen do. The Pats play Thunderstruck
Allllll of my friends that are pats fan say that was a fumble. And after that call let’s be real the raiders were done after that play.

The rule was called correctly. It's the rule itself people should have problems with.
I was at this game and knew it was going to be overturned. I saw a play just like it with Kurt Warner earlier in the season that was overturned.
Edelman has some nice legs
The Tuck Rule was a stupid rule that was enforced correctly. The end.
Anything that can be gambled upon is not a fair or upstanding partaking. The NFL is Sports ENTERTAINMENT, its no better than the WWE.

The game was over on that fumble.
Get over it, wasn't a fumble
What fumble?
WAHHHHHHH WAHHHHHH look up the rule and look at the play. Then delete your comment
Imagine if it actually had been a fumble. Totally different legacy for the Raiders.
@@BryantHarris-g4o it will always be.
bungus
They made the rule up during the game just so Brady can win an was the start of everything
That’s pathetic

People never remember the rule was used against the pats that same year vs the jets.
20+ years later
Sour grapes 🤣
@@DavidBarton777 BS .. that rules was made up in that playoff game that year!!.state facts before u start talking BS
Twenty Years OF Winning In The NFL!!!
The NFL still hated Al Davis’ guts… It was a fumble all day long.
