I'm already obsessed with this Kpop group! The songs, the music videos, the performances...
I'm officially a new Carat! I just need a little bit of help in learning about them! And I confirm that choosing a bias is difficult (if not impossible)

Hoshi is actually a tiger, he believes he is one since cheers to youth is a reference to him the vocal team put tiger at the end as a credit. also when the tiger shows his claw its Hoshi's signature post means horanghae or hoshi saranghae and horangi in korean means tiger.
Our interpretation of the Cheers To Youth MV and each of members part/characters
Jeonghan - He thought there was a problem with his vision, hence he consulted a doctor. But the glasses made him see clearer but at the same time the negatives. He realized that he doesn't really need those glasses. I think it's about the pressure of having a perspective similar from others and trying to accept that it's okay to see it differently.
Joshua- he was a meerkat at work. He keeps on peeking and looking around, probably yearning for belongingness or acknowledgement. Meerkats are known to be in groups, and get really sensitive with their environment. He then realizes that people appreciate him. He lent someone an umbrella and he received a gift as a token of gratitude. His coworkers also found him adorable like a meerkat bc he often looked around.
Woozi- he was a recluse who never went out, similar to a hikkikomori. He was holdingn a puzzle piece that was only half of the missing pieces, probably to symbolize his view of himself not being enough to fit in. He got tired of food delivery, so he got a robot to do grocery shopping for him. He experienced the warmth of the elder woman who helped him. He gathered the courage to go outside and even gave flowers to grandma.
DK was taking an exam, some ppl said it was for pre employment. He was struggling a lot to the point where he wrote he just wants to be a rock. There was a caption written on the pics he had saying that rocks go through hard times to become smoother and round. There was also a picture that said, the rock was 1st place in spacing out. He probably found comfort in those messages.
Seungkwan- he was anxious of phone calls and always ignoring them. His phone turned into a fish which probably only shows that it isn't something he should be afraid of. He also gave more attention to it when it became a fish. You can see him practicing to press the receive call button using a bubble wrap, showing his efforts.
All of these changes happened because they themselves took the initiative for self-help. The Tiny ISSUE club was like a support system for them share their troubles and help them get through it.
16:08 The tiger at the end was a comic relief, but at the same time, it's probably because the song was inspired by what he said. Hoshi explained at the concert that in one of the tour ments he made some mistakes and the members call him out saying "that wasn't right/it was a bit too much" so he apologize saying "sorry, it's my first time living today too" and then woozi had a moment of realization and started writing in his notes.

Wonwoo has had some very good moments in recent videos. Between the retro-70s foot suit in this video, the fighting scene in "Maestro," and his upper tenor singing in "God of Music," Wonwoo is showing his versatility!
16:08 I understand the confusion lol, the inspiration being this song was actually hoshi which is the tiger at the end , hoshi just loves tigers sm and his whole personality is being a tiger lol the members make fun of him for it saying theirs a difference between liking tigers and wanting to be a tiger lol but basically the song was inspired by him because woozi said that during practice hoshi made a mistake and when the members got mad he said "sorry today is my first day living " and that became the inspo for the lyrics "it so happens that today is our first time being alive" and they also put a tiger in the end to give credit to hoshi and also if you realize everyone of the members had a problem and they were gathered in that club to help solve eachothers problems and the members said the tiger at the end represents hoshi and his problem with being a tiger lmao

Biases are so complicated I have my four biases but let me say it’s been years and I am still confused almost 99% of the time and every come back. I will say my “official” biases are Seungkwan (who is an ult so he doesn’t change around as much) hence pfp & username I love that man, hoshi, Joshua
, and Minghao (The8). My biases change around every comeback it seems. You will come across a phrase in this fandom that’s like “no one in caratland is loyal to their bias” and it’s very true.

Bias? Well, it's difficult, Seventeen is just amazing.

Yah choosing a bias is so hard
It usually changes every comeback
We carats usually become an ot13 stan even though we have an ultimate bias, cause it's soo soo hard to limit that title to just one member.

Hi! I think no one has explained yet about why there's a tiger in Cheers To Youth MV. First of all, tiger is the representative animal of Hoshi and that hand gesture the tiger did is what we call 'horanghae' which is Hoshi's way of saying 'I love you'. There was one time that Hoshi made a mistake while at work and he told the members sorry and that it's his 'first time living this life' or something similar and Woozi took inspiration from that and made this song.

@@alleinkdrama 'Cheers to Youth' is inspired by a line Hoshi said at one of their concerts. Hoshi made a mistake in his speech and said 'it's my first time living today' and Woozi liked that line so much that he turned it into this song
