Phil, in a previous comment section someone called your hairstyle a mullet. When i think of mullets, i think of guys named Billy Ray Lee Jim Bob, you know what i mean. If that's a mullet, you're the first guy that i have ever seen that nailed it! i hope that with all of the work that we don't see that it's gotta take to make one of these, that you get the joy that we get to experience through you! There was an author who came up with a bunch of "new German words", one of which is "mahlneid" which means meal-envy, or "coveting thy neighbor's restaurant order".
Unfortunately there will always be negative people who can't stand someone else's happiness. Just do what makes you guys happy and the right people will find you.

I recently went on a tour in Venice and the tour guide had a degree in art history with specialty in medieval times and was great. So his degree was perfect for this type of job
