    Hello , thank you for discussing this topic .
    I'm from Egypt and I've passed the FE Mechanical exam , although my collage of course was not ABET , the exam is available in egypt as there is a partnership between the NCEES and the Egyptian Engineering Syndicate.
    The question here is there are any differences between the exam here and in the US ? In other words, is my FE certification recognized in the US or I will need to take it again the US ?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello Anthony,
    I earned a mechanical engineering bachelors at an ABET accredited institution in South America. I’m I allowed to take the FE?

      Hello Pedro - If it is ABET accredited you should be. Check with NCEES.

    I'm curious, the registration process as an EIT is seperate from the FE exam registration correct? I graduated school in Texas, will be taking the exam in Florida, and will be working as an engineer in Louisiana so I will have to do more research on which state to register with.

      @PasstheFEExam  Год назад

      Yes, you are correct. The registration process as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Engineer Intern (EI) is separate from the FE exam registration. Here's some additional information regarding your situation:
      **EIT/EI Registration: Becoming an EIT or EI involves registering with the engineering licensing board of the state in which you intend to work. The requirements and processes for EIT/EI registration can vary between states. Typically, you need to submit an application, pay the required fees, and provide supporting documents, including your educational transcripts.
      **FE Exam Registration: Registering for the FE exam is done through the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES). You can choose the state where you want to take the exam during the registration process, but it's not necessarily linked to your EIT/EI registration.
      Considering your situation, since you graduated from a Texas school, it may be beneficial to research and register with the Texas Board of Professional Engineers (TBPE) to become an EIT/EI. This registration will be connected to your Texas education. However, since you plan to work in Louisiana, you should also explore the registration requirements of the Louisiana Professional Engineering and Land Surveying Board (LAPELS) to ensure compliance with their regulations.
      Keep in mind that while you can take the FE exam in any state, the EIT/EI registration process may require you to have taken and passed the exam, so it's essential to verify the specific requirements of the state in which you intend to seek EIT/EI registration.
      Consulting the websites of the TBPE, LAPELS, and the NCEES will provide you with accurate and up-to-date information about the registration processes and requirements for each state. Additionally, reaching out to these licensing boards directly can help clarify any questions you may have regarding your specific situation.

    Thank you for answering my question on your other video, I'm engineering graduate outside the United States Im in PA state now and pursuing to pass my FE exam, right now I meets the Ncees standard of engineering and after that I sent my credentials to the board of pennsylvania for almost two weeks of thier evaluation and waiting until now the result. My question is How do i know that I'm approved or qualified to take the FE exam? they will send me a email or letter? I dont know the next steps. hope you can answer my question sir. Thank you very much and your reply is very much highly appreciated. God bless

      I'm glad I could help you with your previous question. To answer this question, the Pennsylvania Board of Engineers will send you an email or letter once your application has been approved. The email or letter will include your approval number, which you will need to use when registering for the FE exam. If you don't receive a letter or email, you can call the board's office at (717) 787-2323.
      The next step is to register for the FE exam. You can do this through the NCEES website. Once you have registered, you will need to schedule your exam appointment.
      I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Hello! I am a double major (Electrical and Mechanical engineering). I passed the FE Electrical exam. I am not sure whether I will be pursuing a PE in Electrical or Mechanical or both at the moment. Should I also take the FE ME just in case?

    • @PasstheFEExam
      @PasstheFEExam  2 года назад +1

      I would not do that without reaching out to your state licensing board because in many states the FE exam that you pass does not impact what PE Exam you take, so there may be no need for you to take the FE exam over. Before you decide to please reach out to your state.

    Hey I’m planning to take my FE exam unfortunately my institution wasn’t ABET accredited but I have years in professional engineering. I wanted some advice on how to move forward with being evaluated by the board for the test.

      Hello Umar,
      You can still qualify, but will need to meet some of the longer experience requirements. In Texas as an example, the rules require 4 years of experience to get your license with an ABET degree and 8 years of experience with a non-ABET. It would be best to check with your state board in the area where you plan to take the exam.

    does every state require 4 years of training under a licensed PE to take the PE exam.

    • @PasstheFEExam
      @PasstheFEExam  Год назад

      @user-dk7rl1ue3r While most states require 4 years of training under a licensed PE to take the PE exam, it's not universally true for every single state.
      Here's a breakdown:
      Majority: The vast majority of states do indeed mandate 4 years of qualifying engineering experience under a licensed professional engineer (PE) before granting eligibility for the PE exam. This experience ensures you have the practical knowledge and skills to apply your engineering degree in real-world scenarios.
      Exceptions: Some states allow alternative paths to qualify for the PE exam with less than 4 years of experience under a PE. These alternative paths typically involve longer durations of general work experience in the engineering field (often 8-12 years) or combinations of experience and education through accredited programs.
      It's crucial to check with your specific state's engineering licensing board for the exact requirements. State-specific details and exceptions can vary, so consulting the official source ensures you have accurate information for your situation.
      I hope this clarifies the situation!

      @PasstheFEExam  Год назад

      Yes, it is possible to pursue the FE exam in a different country, but it is important to research the specific requirements and procedures for that country and also check whether it meets the local licensing and certification requirements. It is always best to contact the state board in the area where you are planning to take your FE exam. All the best!

      That's great. I would recommend PPI2Pass. It is a well-respected FE exam prep company, known for its in-depth content and engaging video lectures. Live Online courses are a great option if you’d like a thorough review and extensive practice with the guidance and mentorship of a live instructor. OnDemand courses offer the same great review and practice, but with recordings of the lectures that you can watch on your own schedule. You can check out all of PPI’s prep course offerings here: bit.ly/PPIPROMON
