You are just a blogger, maybe more successful than the other, but it seems that you feel yourself as a huge celebrity with Oscar and Grammy on the shelf. You say right things, but it sounds a little bit arrogantly. It seems that you only take a pictures with your followers because you need to be good. Do you like to meet your followers? I think you need to be more thankful and at least to say something about that side.
I can see how you would think that, but I disagree. I think being in a position where she does have influence, it would be even more ungrateful of her to not acknowledge the great following that she has for the sake of trying to act humble. She speaks the way she does because she knows she has influence in her industry (because she does) and she feels proud of her accomplishments. She's not just a blogger; she is an entrepreneur, a businessowner, and a model for many brands and on many magazines. I do not think she acts like she should win Grammys or Oscars at all. She's merely taking into consideration that someone with her success, would probably have an influence on others and she would like to be as kind as possible to those that she does have an influence on and to those who ask for a picture with her even if she is having a bad day. She doesn't take pictures with people because she "has" to. She's just saying she won't let a bad day get to her to the extent that it would hinder her from taking pictures with her followers or responding to their requests, like she would like to, in a rude fashion.
@Lina Malina Negin is Dutch and that is reflected in the way she speaks, either in Dutch or English. In the Netherlands, we (I am Dutch) do not tend to emphasize gratefulness or humility explicitly, as it is more done internally. For example, when I watch American/English you tubers (I am not saying that you are either American or English) they tend to use superlatives terms to express their emotions and to me that always feels a bit exaggerated. I know it is not exaggerated in the context they live in (country, culture, language etc) ... so I always try to see everything from the right cultural perspective. The fact that Negin might come across as arrogant is because she speaks like a Dutch person in English and if I translate what she says to Dutch, everything sounds perfectly fine.. no arrogance whatsoever. When it comes to expressing gratefulness by thanking her followers or express gratitude towards the opportunities she has received through her big following; we just don't really have a culture that does that.. When people do do that in the Netherlands, for most people it just comes across as a bit over the top.. I hope that this bit of context information might take away some of your annoyance :)?
