  • Are you still using outdated POTS lines? Discover why it's crucial to switch to VoIP technology ASAP with Flyingvoice's POTS replacement solutions.
Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS) lines, an analog phone system that has been in use since the 1880s, are now considered obsolete. These antiquated systems are being phased out, and their costs are rising rapidly. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) issued Order 19-72A1 in 2019, allowing telecom carriers like AT&T and Verizon to retire these analog lines. As a result, maintaining an existing POTS line is becoming increasingly expensive.
Switching from POTS to VoIP technology is the future. VoIP, or Voice over Internet Protocol, allows you to make phone calls using your broadband, Wi-Fi, or cellular connection without replacing your terminal devices. This next-generation communication technology provides more flexibility, cost-effectiveness, and reliability compared to the old copper infrastructure of POTS lines.
However, transitioning from POTS to VoIP comes with its own set of challenges. For instance, fax machines, modem calls, and alarm panels may not work well with the current VoIP network due to IP packet drops or voice compression distortion. Additionally, reliable internet access and power backup are crucial for a seamless transition.
Flyingvoice offers a comprehensive POTS replacement solution for these challenges. Our POTS replacement solution includes an industrial LTE router for reliable internet access, a power bank for 24-hour battery backup, and an ATA gateway to handle multiple protocol communications. This turnkey POTS replacement solution ensures that your legacy devices continue to function smoothly while leveraging the benefits of VoIP technology.
Don't wait until POTS lines give you a hard time. Upgrade to VoIP technology with Flyingvoice's POTS replacement solutions today.

It is really frustrated when you deal with a bunch of old devices connected by the patch panel, and you just can't replace it directly, because these lines are buried in the wall and the land. But this type may work to the system i think
