I live in Louisiana, my scout hates the cold. It’s my everyday rider so I put a heating pat on the motor usually helps once warm . Thanks for all the info
Hello Christopher David, I enjoyed your content before but now that I have met you it is way more fun listening and watching your content. Great review of what you liked and could improve. 💕NonnaGrace
LED taillight but not on headlight or turn signal? That is really odd. I bought a lithium ion battery back in 2019 and so far so good. Suspension is just as import as the tires and what a difference. Great review and video👊💪
Hello thanks for review great work love the sixty I have 2021 scout sixty but every 3 months having battery issues not starting or something keeps dragging charge any idea on what would help? Thank you 🙏
Nice job on the video, like the looks of all of Indians just a little sceptical of long term reliability of them still. Glad you have put this out there it helps their reputation. Keep doing what your doing and ride safe!!!
Very nice review and I feel like you even Harley can or should include a lot more on their bikes but I guess that is how these companies keep making more money off of us? Ride Safe
Great review CDL! I agree with the LED headlights that should be standard on all bike, especially for overall rider safety. The overall reliability is awesome to hear. That Indian 61 cu in is a sound motor. Quick question you said you've only done oil changes and tires. Have you ever had a coolant flush or change on your bike?
A couple of questions. 1. What brand are those saddle-bags because they look like they were made for the bike? 2. I dig the seat backrest and cover it's unique is that custom? Ride on!!
Does anyone make a dual piston front caliper for the Scout? How about different toothed belt pullies? A bigger tank with a fuel gauge would be nice. I would want a 200 mile + range, especially for long trips. Not because I want to stay in the saddle that long, just so I know I don't have to stop for gas every 100 or 125 miles. Somebody needs to make tires like car tires for motorcycles, at least for the rear. We are not all track racers and don't need all that. Appreciate the review. I'm considering a new motorcycle.
Most companies skimp on seats and suspension, the two areas that are not to be skimped on for the ride. Maybe the expect the owner to pick out his own or something.
Great review! You've put a lot of miles on it and you have it looking good👍 I have a question, I read a review when the scout first came out and they said it had a vibration around 60mph. Do you notice anything like that?
Haha so things I hear is I am tall and fat (your new name should be quarter pounder)... and your complaints are basically the same that every other Harley rider has had. Sadly as far as factory suspension goes Harley out sources it to Showa and I bet Indian does something similar. I think Super Shox is or has came out with shocks for the Scout. If I find it I will post a link.. I have spend some money on suspension upgrades and plan to redo my forks over the winter.
Not that you made this point; however, duel-disk brakes will not stop any faster than a single disc. That’s a huge misconception. What duel-discs WILL do is keep your brakes cooler under heavy use.
Bike has treated you well. No real issues in 33000 miles. Still looks great too!
Not sure if I could ever get rid of it. Even if I bought another bike
Damn! this gentleman has every imaginable accessory on his bike.......WOW!!!
Thks for mentioning height & weight. I'm the same size. Makes your comments more pertinent.

Like the full size fenders that come with this model. Looks like they help keep your Scout 60 super clean.
Good review I’d like to mention all your modifications has made the bike look better then stock too.
😊
You nailed it Chris. I have the same feelings both good and bad. All the items you listed are spot on.
Hopefully Indian will start listening

That’s a really cool sixty. I haven’t seen any like it. You have a ton of storage lol. And you could fit another huge tour pack on it.
what are those crash bar covers? looks awesome!
Factory style from ebay
Curious about your bags. And if they would fit a 23 scout rogue.
Scout Rogue uses the Bobber rear fender. The hardware would be different.
Very nice go over man. Anyone in the market could learn a lot from this
They always used to say
"You can learn a lot from a dummy...." 🤣🤣🤣
Looking at a 60 but wondering how it does at highway speeds? Does it cruise well with the 5 gear box?
5th gear on the 60 is the same as 6th on the Scout. I have 45,000 miles of highway riding on it

How often are you starting and riding it? If it sits for too long there will be a drain on the battery.
There is an after market gas gauge you can add.

At the price we pay for American made, I think they both can do better
Please make a video when you upgrade the font suspension, that will be cool
What heat protection is that over your rear cylinder? Just a leather patch??
Captain Itch Crotch Cooler.
I need whatever that leather piece is that covers the rear cylinder, my legs get toasty in traffic. What is it called?

No. Not yet
What seat did you go with? Is it the Corbin?
Mustang Solo with backrest
Great video
Good vid sir
Thanks 😊
A couple of questions. 1. What brand are those saddle-bags because they look like they were made for the bike? 2. I dig the seat backrest and cover it's unique is that custom? Ride on!!
Ags are Viking Hard Bags
Seat and backrest are Mustang.
The cover is just a Sheepskin Rug off of Amazon.
@@CDLNEPA haha looks good though.
I'm confused, I thought the Scout 60 was a small cruiser and you've turned yours into a bagger? Cheers mate

My next bike will most likely be a Chief. They cover a lot of what the Scouts missed in those categories

I feel like it is that way with all companies now
Yay … 🏍😎👍
Bike looks good. The gas gauge is really weird, like why not just put it on there. Nowadays I'm pretty sure all bikes come with one.
Every bike I have had up to this one has had it.
Would you hesitate to take it off road?
No. I have ridden down some of our dirt/stone roads for a few miles around farm country in PA and OH.
@@CDLNEPA Awesome!!! 🏍😎👍
Nice review Chris 👌
Thanks😁
They should really redo the tank badge. It looks stuck on and cheesy. Do a overcoated decal or similar.
I put these on. Didn't like the stock Indian badge
Great review! You've put a lot of miles on it and you have it looking good👍 I have a question, I read a review when the scout first came out and they said it had a vibration around 60mph. Do you notice anything like that?
I don't get any kind of vibration until 105mph 😏
@@CDLNEPA that's good to know. Thanks!

Time to add a Royal Enfield to your stable . . . ;-)
