Aston Martin is British, and the British cars have the driver seat on the right, so you wouldn't need to reach out as much. If you live in the UK, that is
Exactly what i was thinking, when a supercar brand does a SUV its like they betray their entire style and history just for some money like complete sellouts, i cannot believe Doug really likes an Aston Martin that instead of being a beautiful sportscar is some ugly looking SUV
If they don't make an suv, how are they gonna survive to keep making their performance cars? The dbx exists to pay the bills. Be thankful that they're doing what it takes to survive, and not go bankrupt. If you don't like it, you can always just not buy it. Buy the performance cars instead.
@@LeOrangePotato Aston Martin is on the same trajectory as British Leyland, Bentley, Lotus, Rolls Royce, and others where they cannot survive without being acquired by foreign manufacturers and trading on their past glories for branding purposes. Fun fact: I used to make the badges from start to finish for Aston Martin, the tolerances were unreal, and the bigger the badge the harder, the margins for error were so fine you practically coudnt make an error tbh, but was fun making them, several people went through one badge to get it right and many were made a day, no imperfections at all, and all where made in UK where I worked, as there was 2 companies who made them but 1 lost contract due to errors on badges, I could go on but you get point.
My dad has a 1956 Dodge Custom Royal 4 door sedan with a 315 cid Super Red Ram V-8 hooked up to a 2 speed automatic push button transmission...the buttony aspect was decades ahead of it's time.
Also, the old Chrysler push buttons were neatly placed on the driver side where your drunk high school buddy couldn't reach over and mess with them while you're driving. I don't like the push buttons on this Aston Martin, they are spread out way too far apart along the middle and easily reachable by the passenger.
The way there is no rocker panel when you open the door on this 2021 luxury SUV is identical to the design on a classic Saab 900 - for exactly the same reasons as Doug mentions here. Saab was always so ahead of their time. This is a nice SUV.

those dorks made this in the Vantage and the Rapide and haven't made any conclusions
For that very reason (if i were un the market) i would not consider this suv. The D Button will be the mostly used button when starting it up. Don't wnt to reach over thi passenger side
Aston Martin is British, and the British cars have the driver seat on the right, so you wouldn't need to reach out as much. If you live in the UK, that is
@@tunalad you'd still have have to reach over to press park, which you use just as often as drive.
@@OnyxCobra Nahx the valet will deal with that
Next up: "Heres a tour of the 2035 amg project one"
When James Bond will quit his job and make a family, you'll see him driving this... :)
@BMT Pussy Galore was the best pussy in bond-movies! Goldfinger - classic movie 100%. Sean Connery - best James Bond, all the rest look gay. :(
@Luca Dell Orto gaymes bone
Anyone else miss when Doug used to roast cars? Like come on it’s an Aston Martin SUV. They sold out their racing brand for some short term profit
Exactly what i was thinking, when a supercar brand does a SUV its like they betray their entire style and history just for some money like complete sellouts, i cannot believe Doug really likes an Aston Martin that instead of being a beautiful sportscar is some ugly looking SUV
In this video he's roasting the Taycan
If they don't make an suv, how are they gonna survive to keep making their performance cars? The dbx exists to pay the bills. Be thankful that they're doing what it takes to survive, and not go bankrupt. If you don't like it, you can always just not buy it. Buy the performance cars instead.

@@LeOrangePotato Aston Martin is on the same trajectory as British Leyland, Bentley, Lotus, Rolls Royce, and others where they cannot survive without being acquired by foreign manufacturers and trading on their past glories for branding purposes.
Globalism means the Korean manufacturers can acquire decades of car manufacturing knowledge and produce a Bentley Bentayga for half the price and equal (if not better) reliability. The next generation Land Rover Defender will not be built in the UK but the EU. An Indian owned company building this legendary vehicle in the EU (Slovakia) and slapping and UK nameplate on the bonnet.
Aston Martin: "How can we integrate the body of a duck into the design of this car?"
Designer: "I got you fam."
Ari Bari bruh like wtf😂😂😂 on Gandhi tho
Didn't know Aston hired Dominic Torreto as a designer...."fam". If my designer called me fam...I'd fire his ghetto ass.
The fastest steam locomotive ever is called the Mallard, and maybe that would be a classier name...
Apparently "fam" is a trigger word around here.
@@AMS8040 that's just the diction and format of the meme.
9:25 Doug says glass so many times it stops sounding like a real word
That blue interior... gorgeous!
Taking orders in 2019, ships in 2020, modelled as the 2021...
James Bond should use this for his kids in the new movie...
oh wait, yeah casino Royale happened. :)
*Oof*
Cr was best bond ever
Detailer: How mich tire shine do you need on your DBX?
Aston Marton Dealership: Yes!
This is the car for the James Bond that didn’t use a condom
Borna Asi lmao I died 😂😂
lol... Nice : )
It is just so ugly inside and out, what a shame.
Does he ever? Lololol
It takes smashing to a whole new level
I honestly think this car looks very classy and beautiful. Id buy this for my mom as shes more of a suv person while im not so much. Depreciation doesnt matter as long as you love the car and the specs of it.
Mate you're always on youtube you cant afford this car
Doug is the Type of guy who thanks siri after asking a question
Bersan K I do too
Doug the type of guy to get on his knees on tarmac with short cargo pants
"I'll describe all the luxuries of a luxury car in a mocking voice"
Are you insulting lord Doug you vile heathen?
A beautiful SUV. Lots of sour grapes people commenting who obviously can't afford this gorgeous car.
Only people with no taste like this.
Looks like my grannys ford fiesta from the front
n s Ford Fiesta used Aston's grill design, that's what he meant.
I sorta see the Fiesta but I feel it looks like the 2020 Escape more
Doug, I love you man. You’re simply the best at what you do. Every video makes me feel as if I owned the car for a bit. Thank you and I hope you’re making tons of money to keep the chanel going 😊
2019 isn’t even over yet 💀
OneWayPlace It wont be made til Summer of 2020, thats when production starta
They should really call it the 2019 or 2020 at least
But its a car that wont be out til near end of 2020.
Magna Cars why would they call it a 2019 if the car comes out in 2020?
@@Malc180s you know it's british right?
I love how this NEW car is leaking fluids while Doug reviews
Fun fact: I used to make the badges from start to finish for Aston Martin, the tolerances were unreal, and the bigger the badge the harder, the margins for error were so fine you practically coudnt make an error tbh, but was fun making them, several people went through one badge to get it right and many were made a day, no imperfections at all, and all where made in UK where I worked, as there was 2 companies who made them but 1 lost contract due to errors on badges, I could go on but you get point.
Doug: “it looks unfinished”
Also Doug: “it’s a great design!”
Manufacturers in 2019: We got rid of the snifter, you can now press a button to go into gear
Chrysler of the 50's: Am I a joke to you?
Chrysler's forward look cars had a lot prettier buttons too!
My grandpa's '58 Edsel also had it.
@@pex_the_unalivedrunk6785 Traditional console (and column) levers are also accessible for the passenger, so it's not exactly a new "problem".
My favorite SUV along side the G63 AMG.
Hey remember that time that the "2019" Corvette ZR1 came out at the end of 2017?
Not you too, Aston. Please, not you too.
Well this is pre-production to be fair
When your DBX has more functional air vents then your Supra
I've seen "leather" speaker covers on more cheap cars than on expensive ones.
And it looks tacky
The way there is no rocker panel when you open the door on this 2021 luxury SUV is identical to the design on a classic Saab 900 - for exactly the same reasons as Doug mentions here. Saab was always so ahead of their time. This is a nice SUV.
