Well, remember that Linn Svahn did 50 k before.
Don't want to take anything away from her but Skistad had a huge advantage, not racing a grueling 20k in difficult conditions the day before that certainly helped.
She is a sprinter and that's how a lot of these start by just going sprint. Our last sprint champion beside Bjørgen , Maiken Caspersen Falla seldom raced a lot of other distances than sprint. Don't blame the skier for choosing to go the distances they are best in and train for. This is how Klæbo started.Look at Jonna Sundling and her medals, all in sprint or 4x3,3 and 4x5 relay. So she started as just a sprinter and has developed a little more stamina that's enough too go really for Sweden.In the regular distances she has a couple of podium places but those came the last couple of years and she is 29, Skistad is younger and can develop enough stamina too go relay or a mass start if they all go together and she can sprint them down like Sundling. So if you're gonna point at Skistad picking her races and choosing sprint, I hope you dod the same with Sundling.

@@Igoras331 Yes, some are more allrounders than others. That's the point, people are different and it's ok being both. You just seemed too forget you had a sprinter that was only that for several years.
You don't beat Skistad with two races prior to a sprint - and definitely not a 20k classic race in poor conditions. That's a bit too optimistic. Drammen on Tuesday will most likely show the same thing. Maja and Emma are our hopes on Tuesday.
Skistad, she’s à sprinter not xc skier. . I have respect for klaebo, pelli, Swan, diggins etc.

Skistad is a bigger girl then the swedish girls, that's why she has better speed down hill You can also see Skistad is gaining speed (working for it) at the top, before the down hill. If you look at Heidi Weng, she always loosing down hill because she is one of the smallest girls. To win Sundling must have lots of up hill so the other is tired, if not she is not fast enough at the end to beat Skistad. If the swedish skies was that bad, Rydzek would have past them down hill, she did not. She past them in the curve. You can't just put it on the skies, as the swedes always do, when they are loosing races.
Did'nt look like Svahn had bad skies in the 2. quarter final. Did not look like Dahlquist had bad skies in the 3. quater final. Did not look like Hagstöm had bad skies in the 4. quater final. Non of them was losing going down hill. If you look at the semifinals for men, it did not look like Danielsson had bad skies. He was the first down hill in his race and no one went past him. Skistad or Klaebo winning, had nothing to do with bad swedish skies.
