This was super fun to watch, and very informative! The voice-over, the sound effects, and very clear explanation makes me want to see more videos like this. Thank you, looking forward to the next video.
hi, I am new to procedural texture. I was thinking to add a second wave texture to create something like a cross wave pattern, but i dont know how, i have to add it and mix it? can you give me an advice?
Yes, select all the nodes from the texture coordinate all the way to the add node (8 nodes in total) and duplicate them. You will now have 2 add nodes. Add a third add node (math node) and use it to add the previous two add nodes together. This third add node should be connected to the subsequent color ramp nodes and bump node. Finally use to rotations on either of the two mapping nodes to rotate the scratches.
Haha, yeah, Looking at the analytics, too many viewers drop out during the first few seconds. I can't figure out why, so I'm trying different approaches. ;)
This was one of the best videos I have seen on blender so far
Many thanks, :)
I came here to say the same
the fact you show the whole node values in the screen is just what made me sub to your channel. Well done!!!
props for giving each node a series of crazy personalities

Man this intro lmao nice creative tutorial
i can´t apply in 4.2. help
The add texture block seems no not appear in blender anymore, has its name been changed? am I missing something?
It's Math, not add. When you get the Math node, it's automatically placed as "Add."
If you watched the video step by step, you can hear him say Math.
Awesome
