- This is an amazing paddle! So many great little rocky places to explore! Private beaches to have coffee and some surfing at the end. We had to walk a fair way at the start as the tide was a long way out but what wind there was was on our backs all the way. Just excellent!!!
Kayak - ITIWIT 3 (2+1)
Safety tips: -
Always check the weather, wind and tides before you start.
Wetsuits - We were sometimes far out at sea, not just by the beach
Buoyancy aids - Again, as above.
Pump - Just in case 1 of the 5 valves became loose.
Food and drinks - plenty of water / a flask
Footwear - Due to jagged rocks on land and under the surface of the water.
Hats - Against the sun.
1st Aid kit
A throwing line
Mobile phone... and a dry sack or 2.
You both paddle well together 😊
Answered all my questions…..looking at one and have the idea that you guys did ….hug the coast wasn’t sure if the boat was fit for it …..she handled and performed perfectly!! Keep living life guys with adventure and ta for the vid 🤙🏻
Thanks. Have a look at the latest pointy rocks we had fun with... caves too!
You two are certainly an inspiration
Aww thanks mate! We have sooo much fun doing it!
I've been going down to this area for the last 30 years and never seen it from that angle thankyou
Thank you for watching. We love kayaking in places that we couldn't see any other way.
Wow, wow, wow. Absolutely beautiful, colour me jealous.
Thank you! Cheers!
I noticed and if I’m right, you both are using high angle paddling. Never fancied to look at designated high angle paddles? I aquired one and it made bit of difference in speed, less fatigue, easier on shoulders and more enjoyable. Thanks for sharing. Amazed by tide rings on a rock.
Hi. Thanks for watching. Tbh I adjust my paddle style to the craft I'm paddling but I've always paddled with the blade entering fairly perpendicular. I competed in white water slalom and racing years ago and it's the way we trained. It may be harder on the body but it's the most efficient style. It's a great trip from Solva. We definitely plan to do it at High water next time just to see the difference.
@@teawithq3351 probably the fastest way tolearn paddling is to join local slalom club. I’m ok’ish with kayak but learning canoe now. Trip is on my list!
Looks great what a fab location .
Think I would have left the Kayak in the bag till I got to the waters edge.
We thought about that but decided that we could use it to carry our gear easier and weren't really sure where we'd have enough water to at least float and pull it. Seemed the best option in the end but either way would've been right! Thanks for watching too!
I want to do it but haven’t got paddle buddy. Will be scary on my own to be in one of those caves.
Getting one Tuesday gonna Go for a wild camp carnt wait
Where to?

Nice vid enjoyed it subbed 📌
When you planned your trip did you researched tide times, dangerous currents, winds too? Never paddled in see for long. What is your take on the wetsuits you’re wearing? Thank you
At 18:00 if tide would be high, would it be possible to go through? The rock passage seems wider on top.
Great footage. What camera do you use please
GoPro Hero 7 on a headband mount. I find it works well. For the talking to camera I either use the floaty handle or tripod when I'm on the instructional videos. Thanks for watching. Please subscribe.
