    A suspect wanted in connection with a fatal alleged hit and run of a pedestrian earlier this morning in the Saint James area was spotted and then arrested on the Long Island Expressway at the eastbound exit 69 off ramp. Officers from the SCPD 7th Pct. and SCPD Hwy. Patrol were involved in the stop and arrest. 37-year-old Michael McDermott was jogging in St. James on the shoulder of the southbound lane of Lake Avenue when struck by the driver who then reportedly fled the scene.The alleged driver, 32-year-old Keith Clancy, allegedly fled the scene and was later arrested in Manorville, police said.

    This is the norm in our country. Hit and run laws need to be stronger as a deterrent. But I think as a society we are to far gone

    That guy drove that car like that from st James to exit 69!!!
    HTF is that possible he wasn’t spotted before that.??

      In today's world there could've been the body still stuck in the windshield and no one would bother to do anything.
