People have been making that dumb comparison for many years now. It's a horrible comparison. Licensing is the big difference. Beanie Babies were NOTHING - no nostalgia, no characters we grew up with - nothing. Pops at least are known characters and symbols of Pop culture and typically have a LOT more meaning than random stuffed animals. And it's "waste" not "waist".
