The genesis for true creativity is found within that eternal and independent search for authenticity. A simple thought experiment: Let's say for the sake of argument that AI was created in the 50's with the current established culture from the 50's. With everything AI has taken in in that culture, do you honestly think a data set with no internal dialogue, only internal commentary would be able to create something like hip hop by speeding up Jazz and inventing a rhyme scheme without the attitude that could have only been created on those streets of LA and NYC? In theory it could be possible sure, as a thousand monkeys on a thousand typewriters will eventually create the greatest story ever told with enough time as that probability thought experiment goes. But it wouldn't of been created. And on that off chance that it would have, it couldn't be what it is today without that internal dialogue.

Even if i have all the same plugins wouldnt, for instance, a ton of serum tracks break unless I also have the same presets? or do you render everything to audio first? Im sure that’s still useful for sure but you’re also still missing out on a lot if thats the case

With Suno I think he was being too wordy with his lyrics. I know he let it generate the lyrics, and I understand he probably doesnt play around with it enough to know what works, but you have to tailor your lyrics. Trim them up a little so it has time to make the beat, otherwise like in his examples it sounds rushed as its trying to fit all the words into a small amount of space.

I teach and research machine learning and my prediction is that 10 years from, most of the currently hyped AI stuff will be "sooo 20s". Style transfer and multimodal output (midi & patches for specific synths for example) where you can manipulate and directly interact with the generation steps in a creative process is probably where the sweet spot is.
