Your home is so cozy and inviting and I love your sewing cabinet. Light a fire, stay warm and watch the beautiful snowfall. The snow is really coming down!
Lori what a beautiful view from your stitchy spot! I am so jealous of all the snow you have. We don’t have any snow. I’m praying for a white Christmas hopefully it comes soon. ❄️
Love the snow, we get very little here in Delaware. Guess that is a plus for those that still work everyday. ❄️❄️❄️ We have two chairs almost identical to your stitching chair, just different fabrics. They are very comfortable. At my age and my eyes I won’t ever be able to use the sewing method but that is ok, I can stab so much easier. Thanks for the demonstration and love the color of that floss…🪡🧵☃️🎄❄️
Thank you. My furniture is made in Amish country, and I love it. It does mean I have to buy a piece at a time over several years, but that’s OK. It will last many generations.
Thank you for the hose tour and view of your stitchy spot. I stitch in hand but do not use a hoop. Thank you for your stitching explanation. Happy Holidays!
You have a wonderful spot to sit and stitch! My mom taught me the sewing method with a hoop when I first started to stitch in the early 80's. I thought everyone stitched that way until I started watching Flosstube about 6 years ago😂
I love your home and your decorating style! That is so cozy, watching the snow and stitching! Thank you for showing how you stitch in hand. Happy stitching!❤
Thanks for sharing your space with us Lori. It's lovely! I stitch in hand but never thought to us a hope. Have to give that a try. I love the little table with the thread holders. Happy Stitching!
Lovely view from your stitchy spot. I used to do the sewing method, but without the hoop. I recently switched to a scroll frame on a stand that I use at the table, because my left hand was really bothering me. It’s not the best setup, but I’m making do until I can figure out what will work better for me. I’ve found that the old way was much faster. Thanks for showing us around your great room. I think we share many of the same tastes in furnishings. I love the antiques and the warmth of wood furniture. You have a great place to stay in and be cozy when the snow gets blustery.
I stitch similarly to the way you do. It is nice to see that I am not alone. Thank you for the tour of your sitchy spot. Very cozy and what a fantastic view!!
Lovely just lovely Lori. Thanks so much for sharing. It is very helpful to see how others stitch. I don’t have a stitchy group here in Southern California and don’t have the opportunity to see how others stitch. I have been learning methods by trial and error. I still need to invest in a proper standing magnifying light. Again, thank you Lori. ⛄️❄️🌨️
Love your house! What a fabulous view you have. I am also a fan of sewing stands and have a similar one where the drawer swings out and holds some of my favorite 100.3s. Look forward to seeing you again tomorrow-take care, and thanks for sharing!
I use the skirt hangers too but only put my finished projects on them until they are framed. They really do come in handy for many things. Love the vintage sewing cabinet with the lazy susan type drawer to hold spools of thread. You have the perfect stitching spot. It looks pretty comfortable and a nice scenic view out the window. Oh yes and I see the kitties like view also. Enjoy!😻😻😸😸
I have been working on getting my stitchy spot set up a little better. Fingers crossed that I get that new magnifying lamp for Christmas. I hope one day to master the sewing method you have demonstrated. It appears that it would save time. Thank you for sharing your space and how you stitch.💟
I appreciate you sharing your beautiful home with us. Your stitchy spot is just perfect. I’ve been trying to find a way to put my sewing table next to me. It needs refinishing first. I love all the detail on yours. ❤
You are just snug as a bug in your little comfy cabin ❤ I don’t think I’ve ever seen a sewing cabinet with the pull out spool keeper …. Think I’d have to have some pretty silks on a spool in that pretty little table. Stay warm and keep on stitching 🧵✂️😊❤️
Hi Lori, Redwork is one of my favorites. I have yet to make a redwork project, I have books though. I actually have the blackbird book you are working out of. 🤭
I loved seeing your beautiful cabin and your views are breathtaking! Your kit cats have the most beautiful expressive eyes, and so fun to watch them play! I ❤'d seeing them in the snow! And your stitchy spot and set up are great! Im crazy about the style of furniture you have! My favorite architect is Frank Lloyd Wright! The Hoosier is lovely = what a find! I'd only seen a metal one before! Thank you for the great tutorials! I've enjoyed each one!
You have a beautiful home and I love your stitchy spot. I enjoy your kitties playing, they are adorable.😊I stitch in a hoop doing the poke and stab method but after watching you doing the sewing method it looks so much faster. I’m going to give your method a try. Do you use this method on 40 count linen also?
Yes, I was stitching on 40 count in the demonstration. I’ve even done it on 46 count on my other one red thread, but that’s not necessarily something you can do on all 46 count linens.
I just love all the natural light you get in your great room and stitchy area. I watched your sewing method of stitching and I just don't understand it. I suppose I need to get some cloth and give it a try as I can see its much faster.
What a beautiful place to stitch! With all the gorgeous windows, the views are endless!! Thank you for letting us in your home!!!!
I'm so glad you enjoyed the tour!
Love open concept floorplans. Your home looks ever so cozy! I like the idea of keeping your current projects hanging on a hanger...
Thanks so much! 😊
Nice and organized stitchy spot and WOW what a view! wow!
It’s my little corner of paradise.
What a wonderful stitching spot...all those windows with your wonderful view! It's absolutely heaven!!!

Looks like a perfect day for stitching! You have a beautiful home and view!
I’d never want to leave my house with that view! It’s beautiful! I see your kittens are enjoying the view also! Beautiful home❤
They do like to watch the snow fall. I’m mostly a homebody. I do like to travel, but I really like coming home too.
Awesome view . Would love to have all the snow. Beautiful home. I will definitely try the sewing method.
Please do!
I was one of the people who asked to see your stitchy spot, so thank you very much! It was very helpful to a wannabe cross stitcher.
You're very welcome!
You are really getting some weather. Great sewing cabinet.
Yes! Thank you!
Your home is so cozy and inviting and I love your sewing cabinet. Light a fire, stay warm and watch the beautiful snowfall. The snow is really coming down!
Thank you, I love this time of year.
Lori what a beautiful view from your stitchy spot! I am so jealous of all the snow you have. We don’t have any snow. I’m praying for a white Christmas hopefully it comes soon. ❄️
Beautiful view…wish we got snow like that here in eastern NC!
It’s wonderful when you don’t have to go out in it, but choose to!😊
That view of the snow falling…I don’t think I would ever move!
You have a beautiful home! Enjoyed all the things!!❤️
What a wonderful stitchy spot. The light must be as fabulous as the view !!
The lighting is really great most of the time.
Love the snow, we get very little here in Delaware. You are so welcome!

You are so welcome!
Adorable stockings. I must try stitching with that small hoop.
I’ve been hoping you were ok with your weather and having to get new tires. I also stitch with plan of where I’m going next. Stay warm!
Thank you!!
You have a wonderful spot to sit and stitch! My mom taught me the sewing method with a hoop when I first started to stitch in the early 80's. I thought everyone stitched that way until I started watching Flosstube about 6 years ago😂
It’s a great way to stitch. 😊

You got this!
The view is amazing!
What a view from your window! Haven’t grasped stitching in hand to date
Beautiful view. I have tried in hand stitching but not for me. Don’t like the way my stitches lay and they are too loose.
Lovely just lovely Lori. Thanks so much for sharing. It is very helpful to see how others stitch. Thank you so much for the tour. Your home is beautiful, cozy & welcoming ❤. Can you tell us about your magnifying lamp?
I’ll talk about it in the next video.
I appreciate you sharing your beautiful home with us. Your stitchy spot is just perfect. I’ve been trying to find a way to put my sewing table next to me. It needs refinishing first. I love all the detail on yours. ❤
Mine needs some TLC too, but I use it anyway. It will eventually get some Restore A Finish and Feed N Wax.

The view…sweet serenity! 🪡🪡🪡
Hi Lori,
Redwork is one of my favorites. I have yet to make a redwork project, I have books though. I actually have the blackbird book you are working out of. 🤭
My LoRan threader is one of my most favorite tools…after needle and scissors. 🤣
Wow, what a view you have. I’m not sure how much stitching I would get done!
I know, right? Sometimes it’s hard to stay focused!
You have the perfect stitching spot! Your little fur babies are so cute in the windows.
They’re so sweet!
Very nice stitch spot! My pets would not stay away from everything you have on your light.🐕
It took a lot of “no” for that to happen. But they started out sitting on my lap as tiny kittens while I stitched so we put in the effort to learn.
Your view is beautiful, wish we had a little snow. I will have to try your way in hand stitching.
I hope you give it a try.

I’m going to give your method a try. Do you use this method on 40 count linen also?
Yes, I was stitching on 40 count in the demonstration. I’ve even done it on 46 count on my other one red thread, but that’s not necessarily something you can do on all 46 count linens.
@ thank you so much!
Looks like you git some snow there. Love the scenery.
It’s beautiful, isn’t it?
@ yes it is!
Great stitchy spot looks very comfortable 😘
It is my happy place. 😊
The view is amazing.
Thanks!
You have a beautiful, calming home.
Thank you!
I stitch like you do. Love your stitching spot
It's a great spot, isn't it?
I really enjoyed see the tour of your main living space. I had asked for a home tour. :)
Yay!!
your home is so cozy and your view is amazing
A beautiful view! I need to practice the sewing method. I always feel mine do not look good.
Just take it one stitch at a time!
How can you stitch with the beautiful windows and scenery? Thanks for sharing!!
One stitch at a time! I make sure and look up often.
Wow what a view. Im surprised you ever get up from your stitching spot. Enjoy the snow in your cozy retreat.
I love it here, too!
I just love all the natural light you get in your great room and stitchy area. I watched your sewing method of stitching and I just don't understand it. I suppose I need to get some cloth and give it a try as I can see its much faster.
That’s the best way to learn - give it a try!
The way you stitch is interesting.
Thanks for sharing.
That looks like a cozy stitchy spot with a great view!
