Thank you so much for this moment again, all the knits are inspiring!! The log cabin blanket is so beautiful!! and I really enjoyed the part food for thoughts. You are so true!! Thank you!! Have a great day, Ludivine rose
I knit all of my sweaters by using a crochet cast on and then go back and finish the neckline the way I want after the yoke is done Your knitting projects are sooo good. Thank you so much for bringing great joy.
I love talking about momentum! (I have made 3 half & half triangle wraps.) I have always made the largest size with 3 skeins of each color. I put stitch markers every 50 stitches when casting on & to make sure I can identify a section if I have dropped a stitch. I keep the markers in to help have small goals of breaking down into smaller sections. "I'm down to 200" then "150"! Small goals are a beautiful thing. 😀
Beautiful knits! I am delighted to find your channel. I'm a try-try-again knitter and finally having some success thanks to J introducing me to circular needles. I am inspired by your amazing creativity. Well done!
Hi Stephanie…as usual your projects are beautiful and inspiring! I have had to put my projects on hold for awhile due to having severe carpal tunnel in both hands, the recovery time could be awhile 😢 I’ve been listening to books by Elizabeth Lim, and I’m really enjoying the way she writes. Thank you for recommending her! Take care, and I hope Spring arrives quickly for you.
BOO for carpal tunnel!!! Hope your recovery process is smooth. YAY for Elizabeth Lim!!! I have LOVED her books. Still chilly here but a warmer forecast is coming I think...May is TOMORROW!!!
Such a great podcast and I think you really encourage everyone to revisit what they love and try new ways of making it. I LOVE IT! Thanks for the time, Stephanie! Being gluten free, I was able to get a great result with cup 4 cup flour for soft pretzels and it's a favorite treat. All the best, Kimberly
So excited to be able to knit and catch up with your knits! I've been working on a stripey summer tee with scraps that I had imagined looking nice together, and I'm feeling very proud with my little color combo 💕 I'm having so much fun following along with your different half and half wraps, and can't wait to see what you have in store for the June one!
Stephanie, I love the freedom to play, create, mix and match colors. I can spend hours in a pile of yarn and turn around to find colors behind me that are amazing together and never would put them together. When you held up your pink tone and orangey-red yarns, I thought - WHAT?!?!, but when you held up the sweater, I said out loud, ”That looks lovely!” I love your Sheep Camp sweater and colors. I must knit that pattern too! You’re always so inspiring!!!! Thank you!
What an interesting utube channel. Knitting, food and books. Your food for thought about challenging yourself to experiment with your clothes is actually something I do. Not so much experimenting than choosing only clothes I feel comfortable with, despite fashion. Designs from The Slow Wardrobe (england) combined with Gudrun Sjoden (swedish) are my favourites.
You are inspiring me to make sourdough pretzels! Yours look absolutely delish. I am knitting the coloring book tee, and I love seeing your versions and mods. I am inspired to make a Summer version. Thanks Stephanie for another good episode!
I would love to hear how your pretzels go! The Coloring Book Tee is such a great lightweight raglan pattern to be knit up in various combos/colors, etc. Take care and talk soon Stacy!❤️
I have seen so many Half & Half wraps and thought it wasn't for me, BUT after seeing yours and your intentional themes and relating to you so much on motherhood and being able to work on something during bedtime, I cast one on! I only work on it while my kids fall asleep, but it's kind of perfect because I can only do knit stitches in that low light anyway. Thanks for sharing why you love what you do. It helps me sort through what would be a good fit for me too!
I'm so glad you gave it a go and it fits into your life. I feel like a variety of projects fit a variety of spaces in my day to day. For me, the Half+Half has stitches of words that needed help pronouncing, defining words as children read at bedtime, saying goodnight for the millionth time, asking for children to brush their teeth for the millionth time, tucking children again and again into their beds, etc. Take care❤️
Your video’s are so inspirational and loving the makes you are wearing here. I will be trying the pretzels in fact downloaded the recipe. Anticipating your next makes. Loving that cup Stephanie.
Loved catching up with you this evening Stephanie while I work on my test knit. I really really love your second sheep camp! I think I need to make this next fall, especially because I have been loving my DK sweaters this winter season. Can't wait to see how your red/white sweater turns out - not sure I caught which one of Weichien's patterns it was, but it reminds me of the colours I am using for an Azor so it is getting me excited! Talk soon ~ Natasha
Hi Natasha! I find a DK weight sweater so versatile for a greater temp range (than worsted or heavier) and it's my sweet spot knitting-wise I think. The colorwork sweater is Sonder! Love the colorwork sweater you've been working on. Take care and talk soon❤️❤️❤️
Gorgeous as always! When you were talking about the mental process of your half and half I was like this is 100% me with socks! Totally different projects and sizes but same mental gymnastics to get to the finish line! Lol and thanks for the book review. Kindle keeps suggesting it to me and I wasn’t sure. But I’m intrigued about this magical tea culture. Can’t wait for next video! ❤❤
Hi I have just found you and I’m so enjoying your videos and I love what you have said at the end of this one, I’ve been knitting and crocheting for years and I have a lot of my mothers old knitting patterns and some of them I’ve knit lots of times as I love them and I know when I wear these knits no one else will have them so I’m different. I have a sweater pattern that my mother bought me as a kit many years ago and I have made it with different pattern combinations and with the sleeve in one colour and the body in another so I’ve played with pattern so much and just used the stitch count for my size and it’s great 😊😊
Another delightful episode! You’re projects are beautiful; I REALLY want to make a Sheep Camp Sweater, after seeing yours, (both of your versions are gorgeous). Thank you!
I like the changes you made in the Sheep Camp Sweater, I'm planning to make the same changes you did when I knit the sweater. I was not a fan of the wide neckline and the deep yoke, thanks for the tips!
Thanks Stephanie! As always, your color choices make me happy! I totally "get" your half&half process/mindset! I know those stages, except the last as I am still on ball 1 of color 2 (I get excited when I am halfway through a ball and see it shrinking--substages?), but it was so amazing how it felt (and still sort of feels) fast working the beginnings of that second triangle. I will try to keep in mind the last stage as I know working those long rows and only making it longer by 1 stitch will feel timeless --your statement will be my personal H&H coach cheering me on 😂
Loveee your second Sheep Camp! My conclusion after many of your episodes is that I need more linen dresses in my life! I've been eyeing the Log Cabin blanket and waffling between doing that or my first goal of a crochet blanket. I have several of Weichien's patterns in my queue/library and I want to cast one on soon! Always a pleasure to sit and knit with you.
Linen dresses are so comfortable and easy to throw on. They're definitely a year round staple for me (for the fall/winter/spring as needed, add leggings, fleece-lined if really cold out!). Happy knitting and talk soon!
HI i did two sheepcamps as well. the first one was rustic wool and it stretched. and the other one I went down a size and it was too small in my belly area. lol so I had to had some extra stitches. Beautiful sweater!
I'm crazy about your sheep camp sweater. I wrote down everything that you did. I'm going to add it on my to-do list for the coming fall. I was happy to hear about the Purl Soho yarn. I use a lot of their yarn and really like it and think it is a good price point❤
Did I miss the name of the sock pattern made with farmers daughter yarn? They look beautiful and I would really appreciate the name of the pattern. TY for your podcast.
You had me chuckling, commiserating regarding H&H… I JUST finished #2 (Whoop Whoop🎉🎉). High Tide/blue + Turmeric/gold-yellow. Took for.everrrr, “only have 10 more wraps to go… “ Love the thing, tho, need to weave ends, block. So, new Garter project: “Marlow” poncho using Berroco Sesame yarn. I’d like to make some tanks or bralettes for the summer, to wear under a buttoned blouse (when in public)… sigh, I’ve now got “rolls” - when did THAT happen??!! Beautiful colorwork on the needles! Can’t wait to see finished! I’m hungry now, thanks to your “Eats” photos… PS: while proofreading, noticed a “Food” theme… Sesame. Rolls. Turmeric. Eats. 😅😅
Lovely projects! So inspirational? Do you ever frog....just curious....I am the frog queen....but I feel it helps me learn....I think nearly ever project I start, I rip back at some point cause I messed up or don't like my color combo's....just curious!
Thank you so much Mary! I do frog projects occasionally but usually it's in the earlier stage if I'm frogging. I have taken finished projects completely back but very few of them and it would be projects from earlier on that just don't fit the way I wanted them to fit. Take care❤️
Will you say where you are in Minnesota? I lived there for 20 years, then moved to Illinois where I originally lived. In Minnesota I was in Willmar for 8 years and 12 years in Big Lake. Just curious, Stephanie. Thanks!
I am not sponsored by Purl Soho - just a big fan of their yarns! Some yarns I have purchased (all the Linen Quill!!) and some have been provided as yarn support by Purl Soho but I am not required to show the yarns here on RUclips and I receive no compensation/money.
Thank you so much for this moment again, all the knits are inspiring!! The log cabin blanket is so beautiful!! and I really enjoyed the part food for thoughts. You are so true!! Thank you!! Have a great day, Ludivine rose

HI Joan! That's a great way to have mini goals - glad you found something to keep you going ❤️ Take care!

creativity. Well done!
So happy to see you here Mrs. Martindale! J has mentioned often that you knit! Circular needles can be a game changer. Thank you so much, take care ❤️

Thank you so much Teresa! Happy playing!❤️

They’re the Spring Rain Socks by Natasha of Northern Knits and Purl.
💛💛💛
Thanks for the love!!
We had the same crazy weather in Montreal. Record-breaking ice storm followed by a week of summer (70-80 degrees), and now it's cold and gloomy.
Cold rain this morning! Currently 32F/0C and windy. I do love how everything greens up after a good Spring rain!
Love your videos. I don’t know how you get so much done with young children!
You had me chuckling, commiserating regarding H&H…

Thank you for sharing! Happy knitting (you know I'm all about the food!!)!!

I love all the pretty colors you use ❤
Thank you so much!
Thanks for your enthusiasm! Tell me about your beautiful earrings! I love them!
Thank you so much and you're very welcome! They're turquoise and silver earrings made by a Navajo silversmith, gifted to me many years ago.
Will you say where you are in Minnesota? I lived there for 20 years, then moved to Illinois where I originally lived. In Minnesota I was in Willmar for 8 years and 12 years in Big Lake. Just curious, Stephanie. Thanks!
For privacy reasons I don’t give specifics.

@@EdibleThoughtsMakes Thank you for responding. I was just curious. I like their Good Wool very much, haven't tried other bases yet.
