The thing hollow knight nailed that this doesn’t was the environment and characters. Most rooms feel empty….The basic enemies sort of lack character. Altho, I quite like the main character. Love the design and animation on her.
Edit: Just watch the trailer….I love the aesthetic. Although I hope that rooms aren’t as empty as they are here.
Just played the demo. Definitely HEAVELY inspired by HK, the game has potential. Seriously dislike room reset on hit mechanics.

@@oreo_smoothie74I think they mean let’s say you get hit by the spikes, the room resets and you have to start from the beginning of the room. So you don’t get to continue after getting hit, you automatically get reset to the beginning.
This feels like hollow knight and splatoon had a baby
atmosphere and music remind me a bit of Valdis Story

it has the same artstyle and gameplay is similar but its not a clone. Or is every fps game a call of duty clone or every battle royal a fortnight clone?@@NekoNoTeikoku
@@Lund-Yeah it feels different. Real fluid and feels good, the look is also different enough. Feels closer to hk mixed with ori and seems like a good game. These games are harder to make feel good than you'd think. Mario and so on are beloved in the past cause they got the feel right. Platforming is harder to make than it comes off, and much like fps shooters, the feel and sound is a big deal. diffrenece from COD or HALO or Titanfall like tight controls vs aliens colonial marines
it's definitly using Hollow Knight as a template. Thats no bad thing.
It's like if hollow knight paid attention to platforming as much as it paid attention to combat
I wouldn't change anything Hollow Knight
