✅Subscribe: / @bangnbark Here is a requested video of some more Ralph. HereI take him on a walk to one of his favourite spots to chase his ring toy and have a quick dip.
Ralph is lovely. We have a 2 year old Cocker Spaniel, she is such a beautiful pet, funny, smart, very active and loves long walks, runs and swimming. They are so loyal and definitely a best friend. Her favourite toy is a tennis ball. Goes absolutely nuts for a ball.
Love the way you have Ralph’s hair trimmed. My Bella is red but looks just like him. She is two yrs old. Great pups. You’re right ... always underfoot.
Thank you! They really are great, I bet you wouldn't trade her for the world though. I think I would miss them not being underfoot. I find it endearing.
I wonder if you remember what the name of your ring is and where it came from. It looks lightweight enough for my cocker to carry. I am hoping to use it in walks to keep him happy to be with me and not go chasing other dogs and birds. It looks square but that could be through use of course but it needs to have a hole large enough to be comfortable in the dog’s face and I think the hard rubber rings are too heavy for my dog’s mouth. Thanks for the fun walk.
Thank you ❤️. He's a " English Working" variety which depending on your location could be a field. He's not a show variety. We also have a field spaniel here which is a touch longer in the face and leg, but are otherwise very similar.
He really is a great dog. He doesn't often see gravel, his daily walks are woodland (I have a video on that which shows what I mean) or in fields. We have a pot of paw butter that we pamper him with to prevent dryness and cracking :)
Ah very best of luck in sure she will be an awesome addition to the family. That's a great and difficult question. I suppose my advise for starters would be to know what you want from her and stick to it. As in if she is a pet, fully working or a mix of both and if working, how so? Start the training at the right time (not too early!) And adapt to how she likes to be rewarded. Be consistent in everything, command words, routine etc. That's not to say strict, just consistent. Best of luck 😁
@@bangNbark also looking at getting a cocker. Hear conflicting things about show vs working, some people say working cockers are too high energy, demanding etc. We've come from owning a Labrador for over 11 years (and from working stock). We're both in our 50s but active and like to do a lot of walking. Looking for an active breed, just something smaller than a lab. Just wondered what your thoughts are on this view of working cockers, as in too manic? I suppose will depend on what you're after and different people will say different things. Have noticed that there seems to be a higher ratio of working cockers for sale, rather than the show variety
Ralph is getting more and more interested in chasing squirrels, rabbits and deer but he does always come back. He isn't food orientated which I find hard.

Ralph is adorable!
Is he a show or a field?

Thanks for explaining!
It's just that I have never seen a field have such beautiful hair
@@Merakhyi ah thank you I will go and tell him 😊 . He does have very nice hair, I guess it's a combination of nice food and brushing. He is very soft.
Wow those woods are amazing, might I ask what area this is!
Thanks, this is Gloucestershire
He’s a super little dog 😊be careful of his paws when on the gravel

Pick my working girl up in 3 weeks. Same colour as your good boy.
Any early training tips/mistakes you might have done differently?

My cocker isn't toy orienteted unfortunately he likes to hunt which is the main problem I have with him. He has a tendency to disappear sometimes.
