Copenhagen, Denmark - I found Nightwish in the early spring of 2019. I have many favorite songs. This however is my favorite lineup. I think that Kai Hahto is a fantastic drummer. I just miss Jukka Nevalainen befind the drumset and Marko’s singing. When I frist saw him I thought “that’s the angry Wizard”. When I heard “Ghost River”, I just said “YES” to myself.
I'm in NY! One of my favorites! It's unbelievable how Floor was up there in her mix, belting that high over and over in the last third of the song after the key change.
Nightwish is the whole package. State of the art musicians, an outstanding composer/lyricist, and two breathtaking vocalists with stage presences that are out of this world.

I'm from the U.S., but I've traveled on business in Scandinavia (Denmark, Norway, and Sweden) and to Germany (was at Wacken Open Air 2013), Finland (was at Tampere 2015). Did business in South Korea and in northern Japan. Retired before Baby Metal came into being I think. Enjoy the craziness.
This is my favorite Nightwish song and the only one I learned on guitar, bass, and drums, though I’m sure I’ve forgotten the drum part by now. Floor has said it’s the hardest NW song from before her era to sing.
Wow. Listening to this right after "Erblicket Die Töchter Des Firmaments" is quite the contrast, I must say. That's what they normally play over here in the Underworld. It's nice and comfy down here, although a bit hot for my liking. I have to confess that I like Floor's vocals a little - just a little - better though. Jimi Hendrix is legendary, but his music was recorded in a time when most cuts were short enough to be put onto a 45 record, usually below 3 minutes. If you were do do a review of some of his songs, perhaps you could do 2 or 3 in the same review. Two good ones would be "Hey Joe" and "All Along the Watchtower". If you want something smother and more lyric, listen to "Little Wing" and "Castles Made of Sand". Love your videos and your reviews. Thanks!
