He was so fun to watch that series, his ability to play at his own pace and force the defense to do the same is pretty special

amazing how joe Johnson just dictates the pace of the play he plays at his own speed that's what good players can do they will find a way to beat they don't rush things make it look easy and that's what joe did he just played his way without being pressurised or forced into tough shots

It’s his size and strength that makes him good, he can back up his defender(skinny Jamal Crawford, and tiny Chris Paul) plus joe Johnson is very accurate with his shot, barely moves the net.

3:33-3:50. For the less knowing of what it means to "make your teammates better".. those two plays are the perfect illustration of that often referenced basketball phrase. You as the primary scorer, break down the defense, causing it to collapse and over rotate. Then you find the open man, for the least contested shot. Thus essentially, making the game easier for them. And that is what Iso Joe did so beautifully, in those two plays. Crunch time he could've easily took advantage of his mismatch, and shot a double teamed contested shot, from his primary scoring locations. However, he made the right basketball play. By passing up a good shot, for a great shot. Way to go Joe. Plus this also builds confidence in your teammates that you trust them and their capabilities to make plays/shots, in big moments. Which can pay big dividends, in future big and small games, as well.

Yup. Hornytoads (Hornacek) was nice. But those great Utah teams never had that other guy, that could consistently create his own shot. I mean, Chris Morris would give you spurts. But not the with the level of consistency you need, to beat an alltime great team like the UnStopABulls.
