Spot on. There is a fuse removal tool in the trunk in the fuse box. Little red plastic tool, about 1 inch long. Works great, especially with the difficult to reach fuses in the glove box.
You saved the day for me too my friend. Thanks very much. I drive a right hand drive F11. The front fuse box in my car was turned 90 degrees antilock wise from yours. The 12V socket 20 fuse was right at the top and impossible to reach through the little door. In the end I had to remove the bottom footwell panel underneath the glovebox to gain access to it. You helped me locate the faulty fuse so really appreciate that!
Exactly as you showed. You have no idea how much this has been bugging me for over a year since I got the car used, but there are enough charger sockets that I didn't miss it until now. But I want my socket!!! I really appreciate your time in posting this.
ThNks heaps for the info. My f10 is right hand drive so the glove box is on the left. The fuse panel is actually upside down to left hand drive f10s. It was really difficult to acces through the door in the glovebox necessitating access through the panel below the glovebox. I would have been lost but for your very helpful vid.
it worked also in UK version F10 2011 but fuse box is upside down, 54 was the one blown up, and it was on top of the box. in your car is bottom and seems easier to access, mine was very hard to access, little red pliers from back fuse box will help you to pull it out.
I guess your in US in uk fuse box us upside down so anyone in uk try to check drawing in gloves compartment remember thats check it other way around, anyway i had same fuse problem , like BMW make things to break and make it complicated so only they can fix it shame!
Thanks for making this video tutorial. Very useful. Question: Do you know how to decode the symbols on the fuse decoder pamphlet? I mean how to identify the symbols. My sunroof won't slide anymore. Trying to figure out which fuse for the sunroof. My car is also the F10.
