Superb video, lots of fun hearing the technical details of this racing car with an impressive pedigree. Thanks also to the owner for making the return of this victorious BMW to SPA possible. A car that carries a mechanical heritage of enthusiasts of thermal engines. Long live these! Their story is not yet over, because the future will not unfold as the globalists predict. They forgot in their equation the Creator of History who will soon make his return and begin a new era for this earth. Maranatha!!! 😇
Similar car for sale now on racecarsdirect 180k . Can’t quite remember the spec , same colour scheme too . Don’t quite sound as nice as an M3 s50 /s54 with a carbon air box when your stood on the pit wall but these are lovely cars and nice to see an unmolested original 😃
Everyone says the E36 is unloved M3 but in terms of winnings touring car races - the E36 was incredibly successful. Always remember smoking Joe Winkelhock winning the BTCC in 1993
The M3 E36 was not used in Super touring as this is, as the rules required 2 liter naturally aspirated engines, so Bmw used a 2 liter naturally aspirated 4 cylinder engine in their Super touring cars, with around 300 hp and a revlimit of 8500 rpm, all per super touring car regulations. The E36 cars used in Super touring was first the 318IS and later the 320I, and the 320I still used a 4 cylinder engine, which helped with weight balance since the 4 cylinder engine could be placed further back in the engine back.
Massive respect to the owner for getting it out of a collection and driving this car hard on track. The E36 STW is such a mega car
I would have liked a little bit harder braking zones not gonna lie
Better than a garage queen
This car is a masterpiece for every e36 enthusiast
The Super Touring era is golden.
Legendary E36.. Top model Diecast everywhere
What a car ❤
100% winning ratio!
thanks for great video. very nice walkthrough of the car. inspirational for my own e36 race car 😂
KAMEI shift knob was very big in the golf gti community.

280hp for endurance sounds right. Sprintcar engine was around 300hp and not 340hp.

What a car amazing
Crazy how many times he says obviously
lets do an e46 gtr walk around pls
What's that the red lever under the gear knob for?
For engaging reverse gear? Not sure
Gold bmw era. Sadly not anymore
Even BMW Motorsport knew there was no better shift knob then that from the Golf GTI.
👍💪
Engine look like M42 from 318is
Its a S42 Engine the race version of the M42 Engine.
