@@InfernoVolatil Well if it was built and deployed during WW2, then it is a WW2 tank even if it didn't see combat. By that logic, T95 and Maus is not a WW2 tank then.
Centurions of the Indian Army emerged victorious against the Pattons of Pakistani military on many ocassions in the western front of the war in 1971. Not saying that the Pattons were any less or their operators less proficient.
That is definitely not how a Cent that is correctly maintained, starts. Three full pumps of the accelerator pedal, then feet off and crank, they start immediately and idle smoothly. This tank either needs a plug change or the ignition timing is out of adjustment. Overfuelling it didn't help, the vapourised fuel was emanating from the fishtails.
Given this was designed during WWII it was probably the best MBT available post WWII. And why it sold 4,400 around the world. Its contemporaries were the M26 Pershing which became the later M46 Patton neither were as effective.
I drove this tank in service, one of the best, petrol engine, Rolls Royce, nice and warm in the cold months!
One of the most successful tanks in history. Constantly upgraded for half a century across different countries, on the same Centurion hull.
And remember that the Centurion is a WW2 tank.
@@darnit1944 post WW2 tank. never fighted on WW2.

Is this just knackered or were they really that temperamental to start?
Bit of both 😂
There used to be a kigas pump to help it start

It’s been sat outside for a year in the damp and it’s 60 years old give it a break
@@AdamBest1920 I think Slaktrax was complaining about the operator and maintainers, not the tank!!
You gotta do this at least once a week
А я думал, что у меня в блице танки не сразу трогаются из-за пинга
