I lucid dream regularly and I once threatened the characters of my dream that if they don't do as I say, I'll wake up and they'll all disappear. Once they refused and thought I was bluffing, I did wake up and immediately get back to sleep to the same scene. They were scared shitless, it was hilarious.
@Krish Superman i mean is it really a discovery if it is something that occurs naturally? it is almost like someone saying dreaming was discovered...just a question
The reason this happens is because you aren't in deep sleep. In the beginning stages of dreaming, you can't control it very much at all - only with highly focused concentration can you control it. The deeper you get into sleeping, the easier it is to control it.
I use to have sleep paralysis often, I started meditating and gaining mind control. I started studying astral projection, I literally watched myself sleep one night and it was amazing.
I used to have sleep paralysis too around 15 years ago. I was scared and didnt understand what was happening to me. I want it back now but not sure how to make it happen again...😕
@@melissasmith1322 Yeah I used to lucid dream consciously straight from sleep paralysis and willingly leaving my body, but quit it ten years ago. It was all very beautiful, with amazing colors and all, that are way brighter than the colors in this dimension. As they said I think one needs to focus on being conscious of getting into the paralysis, and not resisting once in it, leaving the body peacefully.
I had a lucid dream about my mum after she died we were both back together in our lounge my mum was telling me how beautiful heaven was and I would love it too when it was my time..than she told me to wake myself up as my dream was going on too long (typical of her to worry) I didn’t want to leave her but she insisted so I woke myself up. I often have lucid dreams with people telling me messages.
That was a Nice N pleasant dream. I Dream a lot and a lot of time about deceased family. My Mom passed Two years ago, I told her Not to worry about Anything and I told her I’ll see f her again in My Dreams and I knew I wud see her and I have many times.
i have lucid dreams quite regularly, but when I realise Im dreaming I wake up. My brain will go "this is obviously a dream and not real so might as well wake up". Anyone have any tips how to keep sleeping once you realise youre dreaming and asleep?
I immediately go back to sleep and try remember the scene exactly as it was. I never think, 'this is a dream though' cause then things start to fade away and I'm slowly waking up, I think, 'what if I could go to x' or change the dream entirely and dream of something else. Once that happens, I realise I'm lucid dreaming and start changing it
Usually I always wake up when I realize but a couple days ago when i started lucid dreaming and realized I was dreaming, I almost pulled out but then immediately said to myself in my dream “no I want to stay” and for the first time ever I stayed & controlled everything in my dream!
I'm cringing at the fact that they're even questioning if lucid dreaming is real or not. The classic "Science can't prove it", just gotta experience it yourself like many other things in this life:)
i’ve done it. never kept a dream journal i could just feel my eyes closed in my dream. it took practice because i’d forget to ask myself in my dream if i was dreaming. i would have methods to wake up from my nightmares. eventually my brain got too smart and my methods stopped working and my dreams got more vivid. like i can actually read in my dreams now and things will make sense. i can look at things twice and it’ll look the same even really detailed things like i saw strands of hair from a man’s beard and his pores and eye color. and my brain creates illusions of me waking up in my bed in the middle of the night (if i am panicking it can happen 10 times in one night or more). the only thing i can do now is stay calm and happy in reality and get an adequate amount of sleep to prevent vivid nightmares.
@@lovealexxxx3491 Be careful. And remember, although you may be entirely consciously in control at times, that doesn't mean your soul or physical form is.
I’ve had a lucid dream before. I saw my grandmother in a dream, she died before I was born but in my dream we talked as if we knew each other. She told me that I look just like her and then I woke up.
I met my mum on purpose in a lucid dream, just to see what it was like :) I made a video about it on this channel as well as how to spawn people, places and objects :)
It is real, I do it all the time. What's more difficult is maintaining lucidity and not letting the dream run away. Sometimes when lucid dreaming and it collapses and waking me up, it's pretty easy to go back to lucidity. The language centres of your brain are not active during lucidity, so if you look at any writing or numbers in the dream, they will be impossible to read and just melt away and morph into strange shapes. What is also fun is speaking to dream characters when lucid as they seem to have their own personalities and decision making, and will talk about anything. It's strange because you are literally talking to your own subconscious. Quite often when lucid my eyes are open a bit, because I can see an outline of whatever my actual eyes are seeing overlaid in whatever the dream is about, for example a my bedside clock will be in the dream no matter what I am looking at in the dream itself.
Oh now I understand why I can't read in my dream. Also can you really travel anywhere and see what's happening? I don't activate lucid dreaming it just happens randomly but it does happen more often when I meditate
@@vanessaroper3028 The astral projection part is more woo than science, you're basically just imagining what the destination is doing, rather than actually going there without a body. Your subconscious is pretty good on doing what you tell it to do. Before you go to bed you need to start keeping a dream diary by your bed, so when you wake up and you remember your dream you should briefly write what happens before the memory fades. If you keep doing this your dreams will become more vivid, you'll be better at remembering them, and you should tell yourself before you go to sleep that you're going to lucid dream tonight. It's not fool proof though. It's also a good thing to start reality checks in the day. You can get an app that randomly throws out a notification sound to remind you a few times per day to do a reality check. Look at your hands and see if there is anything strange. If you are near a wall put your hand on it and see if you can push it through the solid wall. Look up at anything with numbers, a clock, or writing and check you can still read. If you keep doing all these things regularly then sooner or later your subconscious starts throwing reality checks into your dreams, especially if your phone makes a notification sound to do a reality check while you are asleep next to it. When you're in the dream and you know you're dreaming, you can stabilise the dream by rubbing your hands together, not fighting too hard to change anything, and if you want to go somewhere else you can do something simple like imagine a door, or spin yourself around on the spot. Keeping a lucid dream stable is tough at first but you'll get the hang of it. It's fun to play with your senses in a dream, see if you can taste your favourite food, touch things that are warm and cold, imagine one of your favourite songs to start playing etc. There was a cool study some years ago with people who were able to get lucidity pretty quickly so a sleep study was conducted. When the person was in a lucid dream they were supposed to start moving their eyes left and right, over and over, to see if it effects what your actual eyes do while you are sleeping, and sure enough it worked. The people were able to signal to the outside world that they were in a dream, they were controlling it, and fully aware that they were asleep in the clinic's bed.
@@NeonVisual wow thanks for the thorough reply. When I meditate I tend to get more lucid dreaming but also experienced sleep paralysis which freaked me out. I felt a presence in the room so I don’t know if I want to consciously try this again yet. But thanks for the tips will take it into consideration. Also we feel that I dream share because non of the characters are related to me in anyway work, friends or family.
omgggggg SPOILER: another clue for Rob being Adele was that actually Adele thought Rob how to lucid dream, but Adele told Louise it was her friend who thought her.. or at least that's how I remember it.. that's because it was Rob and he was in fact thought how to do it by his friend from the ward..
Another clue was the astral light colour in the beginning it was purplish for Adele and blue for Rob and whenever it was watching over Louise it was always blue 😱 Damn
I was watching them drive away after the wedding thinking that’s Rob in there 🤯 What a betrayal to Adele ultimately but I felt so bad for Louise too and her kid Adam who won’t get the love he had with his mum 😢
I remember a lucid dream 10 years ago university, I was tired beyond belief but had an assignment to hand in. Whilst writing I was falling asleep to the point where I could only describe being concious in 2 worlds/levels. When I snapped out of it and woke up I noticed I had been writing what was in my dream. I still think about that moment till this day.
@@Jhampa.Sherap Except astral projection isn't real. Doesn't take more than a 10 year old's logic to disprove it; ask your friend to put a note on a high shelf, astral project and read the note. It would be so easy to prove in a scientific manner, but it's never been proven; because it's literal nonsense.
@@WiseWeeabo Have you tried this experiment? There are plenty of people whom have by drawing a card from a deck placing it where they cannot see it and have seen the correct card and have proven the validity of AP. Just because you dismiss it with a 10 year old's attitude, does not make it any less real. Do the work and see for yourself instead of pretending to be knowledgeable on matters you have no first hand experience of. Not so Wise after all, it seems.
@@Jhampa.Sherap Link the study. Even just one single person proving it in a scientific setting is enough, so if there are "plenty of people" then it should be mainstream science by now yes? Link any real scientific study and you have an easy win to claim here for yourself.
i have often lucid dreams, they aren't as beautiful as Louise's hers, but i can do in them what i want ♥ the problem is just when i focus too much on the fact that im dreaming, i usually wake up faster then xD
Same here.. I often swim, fly, kiss.. It's so surreal, I could experience every element of nature like in real life.. It doesn't last very long, I know before hand itself that it's going to end..
I had a lucid dream the other day I realized I was dreaming at one point I wanted to fly but instead I was lifted up like an alien abduction and heard voices saying “come with us” so I woke up
@DreamsPS4 Creations yes exactly this dude is everywhere no one ‘stole’ it people just call it different things and it’s all about living the experience your right
I don't think any credible lucid dreamer would support a show that ties it with anti-science such as astral projection. It just confuses those who are new to the subject, and makes them believe that it is something flakey and mystical. It isn't and deserves better representation. I think it shows a lack of discernment or true passion for the subject to leave a positive comment on this video just to gain views when it comes at the cost of the subject being tied to anti-scientific nonsense.
People who say it isn't possible are misinformed. There's a reality check that involves reading something then looking away and looking back and I think that's where the idea came from
@Krish Superman Lucid dreaming has been a thing as long as history, nobody owns it, it doesn't belong to any culture because people everywhere have been doing it for centuries. Lucid dreaming is just knowing you are in a dream, thats it. Some people just have a natural ability to lucid dream
@Krish Superman you give the same reply to every answer. You have no original thoughts or what? Yoga Nidra is a form of meditation (body asleep, mind awake) it is a deep state of consciousness, it is not actual lucid dreaming. If anything it can be used as a precursor, i.e. During the Wake Back To Bed method, but Yoga Nidra, itself, is not Lucid Dreaming. By your logic, that is like saying - the word 'eating chicken', means 'having a poo'. As we know this does not mean the same thing. Two different things. Yes 'eating chicken' can come before 'having a poo', but 'eating chicken' is not required to poo, (there are other foods/methods), but 'eating chicken' can help in having a poo. Hope this helps! Please eat chicken responsible.
I love lucid dreaming! & I do it often but what I enjoy more than lucid dreaming is Astral Projecting, which I've only been able to do a handful of times but I still continue to practice every night / morning!

I've lucid dreamt all my life. When I was a toddler I kept telling my mum I had films in my ears. I understand that it must be a fascinating concept to thoes who haven't lucid dreamt however personally I wouldn't recommend learning how to do it. It can be debilitating, exhausting at the least, and cause a lot of stress. I became really depressed in my 30's because it was like living in two worlds. I've learnt to live with it now though. I drew maps of all the places that I re visit in my dreams, these places have repeated for so many years, and found they joined together perfectly to be one whole map. Lucid dreaming is definitely real. Sleep is so important. If you can sleep well than stick to that for sure. I am glad that it's now become an open discussion. It was very lonely unable to explain it to people without them thinking I'm imagining it other than my partners (1 at a time throughout my life! ;)) who could see first hand how it affected me. Will watch the series for sure!
Don't say u wouldn't recommend it tho.. Remember that just because u had that experience doesn't mean everyone else will. I dont see any negatives compared with normal dreaming. Just sounds like some feat mongering. All the benefits that can be gained by lucid dreaming are huge. Its literally one of the most important gateways to spirituality and exploring the inner world. Just depends on how u use it. Youre so lucky to have this gift early on and natural. Bless you
I have lucid dreams often and I've astral projected when I was younger. Everything that happens in the show is real. Even the way you smack back into your body when you get back from astral travel.
I'm into lucid dreaming since a long time Probably you already know this, but Don't forget to use a dream diary to write down everything, Everytime! It will really help you improve a lot Ore write /draw something down on your hand, a little sign, (can be a spot, a flower a circle etc ) Look at it trough out the day and think about lucid dreaming Everytime you will look down on it your brain will think about LD. Listening to bineraul beats can be really helpful too I really hope you will make it :)
@@danyrose8920 this is great advice - thank you. Heard about dream diaries, will start writing them down. Going to try drawing something too, will keep remembering LD and hopefully it’ll help.

Thats why its said when you wake up randomly in the middle of the night, you should meditate then fall back to sleep and thats when you receive messages or downloads from spirit that come through lucid dreaming or dreaming alone😌
Lucid dreaming isn't as easy as shown in this show... It requires lots of work and self-control. Usually, the 1st lucid dream doesn't last very long because excitement wakes you up. The dream isn't stable, sometimes you lose the scenery and it's all dark. So you have to find techniques to make it appears again (touch and feel the decor for ex). Sometimes, you can't even move... There's a loooot of fails but how amazing it is to explore your subconscious ! My favorite to do is asking questions. Sometimes it doesn't makes sens and I have a good laugh when I wake up... & Other time it's really smart answers that makes me self-reflect...
when a child I could lucid dream...while so,in a lucid dreamstate, I asked aloud how I could see the future. A guide spirit of some sort lead me to this glowing yellow box similar looking to a paper lantern you might see in an Asian decor. I was able to see in my dream, thru my own eyes into to future or past or thru other ways see distant places and events from history or the future. but it was absolutely real and it always came true in real life. I must have dreamed thousands of episodes into my future seeing how things were changing and looking for events and opportunities to exploit. but because I was a child of only 7 or so...I did not understand how to make this gift beneficial for me or the world. It only served to show how humanity was spiralling to moral demise. It also showed me that Jesus will be coming back within a dog's lifetime. that's about as accurate as I can offer. it's all still in ABBA's hands. lucid dreaming is real...its like neo learning to jump off the building...in the MATRIX. seeing the future was like seeing the programming thru the illusion. we live in a prison planet. We can choose service to others or selfishness. the universe is waiting for humanity to step up and choose to serve. its heaven or keep living this hell on earth.
Lucid Dreaming is easier thn most people think but it takes commitment to practice it for success. If you commit yourself to a month on a Sleep Hustle you can see for yourself. Sweet dreams ahead!
The Narrator forgot to mention that if you get too excited while lucid dreaming, your dream starts fading away and you wake up in a couple of seconds? I've been having problems with that.. Anyone have tips to stay in my dream even tho I'm enjoying breathing underwater or flying around?
Start singing a song ore moving really fast with your arms Ore counting It will force your brain to focus something else and it will eventually "forget" to wake you up Also as you already said, your brain wakes you up when you are too excited /scared ore something else bc it thinks you could be in danger So try to stay relaxed maybe through meditation :)
I lucid dream, and I notice that sometimes even if l know l’m dreaming l still have no control at all, and at the other extreme l know l’m dreaming and can control everything. It’s like there’s sometimes a shift from understanding l’m dreaming to really knowing and feeling it.
@@Nann409 It’s like in life when we know we can accomplish something but have doubts and negative thoughts, and then those other times when we’re in the flow and everything comes easy. I watched this drama on netflix. Yes i have had lucid dreams though not many. My input: Lucid dreaming is so vivid and bright and the detail is EXACTLY like in waking life. Its like being in a 360 degree virtual reality. If you are not sure if you have ever had one, maybe you haven't as it is so real and you are totally conscious in it and know that you are asleep whilst this is going on. I have flown in a lucid dream. Somewhere over buildings like in London and you can feel the breeze. It's exhilarating. Some people are more natural at doing it whilst others like me have only occasional experiences which makes them all the more amazing. However it's always good to practice techniques which may help. I found that the end of "behind her eyes" a little far fetched in relation to lucid dreaming and/or astral projection although it is a good way of introducing people to the concept. Dramas about lucid dreaming and astral projection are always welcomed on netflix. If you get really good at lucid dreaming, you really can netflix and chill 😉
Two days ago I had my first lucid dream in years. Watching this series made me think it might happen again. And it did! I’m guessing I’m not the only one. Did this happen to you too? Would love to hear your experience!

It is hard to lucid dream for me, I sometimes try it but once my brain is aware that I am dreaming, that full consciousness starts to kick in and it would break my sleep instantly. But another thing though, is I don't know if you call it lucid dreaming but once sleep paralysis visits me while I am sleeping, I can actually control my half-dreaming and half awaken brain and body to force myself to fully wake up. It is creepy to tell but my sleep paralysis gives me this consistent way of nightmarish attack. It always starts with me being half awake and half asleep and literally stuck and unable to move my body. It starts with me having goosebumps all over my neck down to my back, and then this sort of dark shadow would start to breathe whisper in my ears without words just gentle creepy whisper. Then once it happens, I already know that I have to hold my breath deeply and start to forcefully move my body and open my eyes to awake myself. That is my way of escaping the paralysis and it never fails me to awaken myself that way. I am always scared not to force myself to wake up. I always think that if I will not escape the nightmare, the breather shadow will take over my body and it can kill me for good like those people who would die while sleeping. That whispering shadow has always been my visitor every time I undergo sleep paralysis for years now. Scary but seems normal to me every time it happens. Good thing, I am already a champion in fighting my own paralysis.
Yeah waking up once you've realised you're in a dream is very common. It takes a lot of practice or experience to stop it from happening. I've only had a few lucid dreams and like you in most cases I've woken up very quickly but the times where you can spend more than a few seconds with full control over your environment is amazing.
One time I thought I woke up when infact was in a nightmare , I rolled out of bed to go get a glass of water and couldn't find my kitchen and then saw my sink in the living room and a old man sitting on the sofa just laughing in the dark my heart beating SO FAST and closed my eyes and thats when I really woke up😂
I love lucid dreaming, if I could do it every night I would. I'm not to sure about the reading part, I can read quite well in my dreams in fact I look for things to read to see if I'll get a message.
A long time ago I started lucid dreaming by holding my nose and trying to breathe lots throughout the day so in dreamtime I would automatically do this, realise I'm dreaming (can breathe) and then start to control them. After sometime I started practicing astral projection by lying down, not moving or swallowing (very important) after 5-15 mins I'd get a very loud ringing noise in my ear, feel like I'm moving down a dark tunnel and then I'd sit up out of my body and move away, while my body is still lying down and I'm still aware of noises going on around my body. Looking in mirrors is always interesting. However, no, I've never been able to influence the 3d in that state.
@@renstylez5089 yes very true! But I think they meant to be careful Bcus ppl could experience something scary while being in a lucid dreaming state like sleep paralysis or astral projection, and even bad experiences with lucid dreaming could really scare a person.

Miss Dee, are you kidding yourself?! This is very dangerous, because you are messing with spiritual realm. Your body can get possessed with who knows what evil entities (demons). I warned you, the rest is on you.
That might be the last thing they would ever teach us. @@robynmcandrew3555 don't worry i have had sleep paralysis for a long time now they are technics you can use to calm yourself like breathe exercices, having a lucid dream, etc. They are also things you can do to avoid having paralysis every night like no screens before bed, don't sleep on your back. For me the not sleeping on my back works best. Lately i ve been having it because i failed to follow that rule the last couple of nights😅
There‘s no night that I don‘t dream and I had lucid dreams. I know that I am in a dream, oftentimes I am walking in the woods or flying over the mountains every time i am lucid dreaming and I can control which path to take.
My first lucid dream was when I was a kid and I thought I had superpowers I’d tell my mom and family but no one would take me serious... fast forward to today and I now know it’s called lucid dreaming
Lucid dreaming and astral projection are 2 completely different things.. lucid dreaming is simply being in a dream and then realising you are in a dream and the world around you isn't actually real, I had this happen to me in my late teens 3 times in the same week and at the time had no idea this was something other people experienced or that it was called lucid dreaming, it wasn't until years later I discovered this and it's amazing to have experienced this, imagine having the world at your feet, you can do what you want with no repercussions because you no you are in a dream, its the strangest most wonderful thing I have ever experienced,
I prefer astral projection than lucid dream, cos what i see in astral projection are reality world, but what i see in lucid dream is not real at all. Hence the former seems more meaningful. :)
I have been able to control my dreams before ... so much that the dream was so good I wake up in the morning and remember the whole thing and want to “go through the door “ iykyk ... this serious is seriously so good especially if your into psychology and the psychodynamic approach behind it all.
Cool to know there is a show about this to educate people about this stuff. I used to practice lucid dreaming and astral projection while I was in college. It took me a long while to learn self-inducing sleep-paralysis. Lucid dreaming became more frequent, but I never got a hang of astral projection, it happened just a couple times in my life as far as I remember. These days I no longer practice it, and can't recall any regular dreams. Too many changes in real life, I no longer have the privacy of being alone in my room at night, for breathing and concentration exercises before sleep (they're vital for achieving sleep paralysis). The more time passes, the more I think that the experiences I had weren't real, which kind of sucks. Hopefully I explore it again sometime. I'm not very spiritual or religious, but these experiences made me more open to the possibilities. There's probably more to the world than we can physically perceive.
Teach me everything you know -You've learnt...... i accidentally astral traveled once... i was in a dream dead asleep and i think my cat hit something very lightly in my room the sound wasnt loud enough to wake me but loud enough to notice.... and in that moment whilst in my dream i became aware i was in a dream.... then it got weird... i began floating out of my body... i didnt know what it was soo my body assumed the fight or flight manouvere and i was scared as fuck... i fought with every cell of my body to stop everything and i yelled JESUS soo loud i didnt know if i was in the astral plane or real plane at the moment but mom swears she never heard a scream that night but i remember screaming loud as fuck and i donno if Jesus saved me coz i nolonger believe in religion and stuff but it got calm the moment i called out to him and i was back to my body and couldnt lift even a finger for a couple of seconds..... i was glad it wasnt real or so i thought but its been 4 years now... I have tried to recreate it ever since but nothing works.... i fall asleep, i loose concentration, i sometimes even think maybe i hallucinated the entire experience coz why is it soo hard for me rightnow...
when i try to read in a dream the text keeps changing as if history is being rewritten or im observing all the possible quantum possibilities the text could have been written... had always wanted to read and gather veriifyable facts to check when im back awake
I have lucid dreamed a few times in my life it's just really hard for me to stay in control and my dreams started to catch on my reality checking so it would make it more realistic so I can't tell i hate it, I'm too smart for myself apparently.
I lucid dream every now and then. My first couple of dreams i had the normal 5 fingers on each hand but would somehow feel more than i saw and most recently i saw more fingers and also felt more than what i saw so these are good reality checks
I remember seeing my dead mom in my dreams but as soon as I saw her I told myself this is not real. She had a sad smile and never came back in my dream.
I have lucid dreamed , I robbed a store and tried to drive away but that didn't work in my favore because the car drove where it wanted to and locked me into the buckle and locked the door while I tried to get out . Very real experience
I've had a few lucid dreams, but I've never quite mastered it. Then again I've never really put in enough practice. One of my absolute favourite things to do in a lucid dream is fly, it's exhilarating.
About two months after my dad died he appeared in a dream and I remember thinking to myself "I need to ask him if God's real" but he walked away and I couldnt ask him. Then the next time he was in a dream I ran up to him and asked if God is real.
I have always controlled my dreams. I can also read but have not been able to pass through solid surfaces. There are different levels of awakening in dreams. Just as in wake life. I think reality is a kind of dream we wake up from when we die. I wonder if we die for our dream characters everytime we wake up. I wonder why they don't get it when I try to tell them they're in my dream, that they're not actually real. There's so much to explore in our sleep and so much freedom.
I used to lucid dream fairly regularly without even trying. I would also experience weightlessness in these dreams where I could bounce around like i was on the moon. It all felt incredibly real to the point that I questioned whether I was entering some other dimension. Hasn't happened in a long time so I'm going to practice to see if I can bring it back.
My first lucid dream was when I was a kid. I had a nightmare multiple times (being chased by a lion or something else scary) and one time I randomly told myself when I get this nightmare again I'll just stop running because its not real. And it did happen in the dream I stopped running when I realized it wasnt real and turned around facing my fear then woke up. Never had the same nightmare again😂 Without knowing I induced lucid dreaming. Now I get lucid dreams spontaneous once in a while. Usually when I lucid dream I can feel its a dream and the environment is also slightly blurred so I can see its not real. But the last lucid dream I had it felt SO real like I was awake and it all was happening in real life. This was so scary I started questioning myself, my mind was like this is dream...wait this is real life. When I realized it was still a dream the environment went back to slightly blurred/hazy and I could see it was a dream. I dont want to enhance or practice lucid dreaming cuz its scary. Even though I dont have it everyday I still start to question somethings if it was a dream or real and that is annoying.
I am a Lucid Dreamer. I have been lucid dreaming way longer than I even than I even kneww there was a such thing as the term lucid dreaming. One day I was talkin with a whole bunch of people, and somebody was speaking about how they had a dream the night prior and they were controlling it or controlling themselves. I was so surprised that he act like it was a big deal, and everybody was surprised about me. I asked everybody do they not always control themselves in their dreams. And then someone said that they were jealous, because I am a lucid dreamer. That was my first time hearing the term. I have been dreaming like that for a very long time. Very very long time. A show that ties lucid dreaming with new-age anti-science such as astral projection is doing the scientifically verified state of lucid dreaming a huge disservice. Sorry Netflix, but this series has confused the public about what lucid dreaming really is, and what it represents. Any lucid dreamer who cares about this subject would be offended by how it has been represented in this show.
I will say I haven’t watched this entire series yet, but I really wish the research behind this were of better quality (or that the research carried out had been taken into account to a higher degree - whichever is relevant). “In a dream, your hand will never look the same twice.” This is absolutely false, and such a blatant beginner’s mistake that my jaw dropped when I heard it. For anyone interested in a series about lucid dreaming, I would honestly recommend Anamnesis instead. It’s available here on RUclips.
I used to do this every day after school. I got so good at it that I’d learn complex breakdancing and gymnastics moves in my sleep, go into school the next day, tell my mates I’ve learned it and do it first try just like the dream. I had a gymnastics gym in my sleep with realistic physics. I visited every day. The same gym. How I did it was I’d start dreaming while three quarters asleep. Or half asleep. When I’m dreaming I’m aware that I’m dreaming and can therefore control my dreams to some degree. I used to control everything though.
Big difference between Lucid dreaming and astral projection/travel . With the latter you literally leave your body and can go anywhere and encounter entities I did really enjoy Behind Her Eyes though, despite the inconsistencies. with the truth. You need to be extremely extremely relaxed to practice Astral projection, not count to ten on your fingers!!! Like trance state relaxed where you cannot even feel you have a body. For me, even after 20 years of practise I try most nights and succeed maybe 4 times a year. Also you need to protect yourself psychicly. Great series tho. Best yet of 2021, even if your one is Bonos daughter.
Not kidding! I woke up from my sleeping and I don’t know why but I counted my fingers and went back to sleep. I was dreaming and I did the same thing and I realized I was dreaming but didn’t last for long time and woke up
i had an experience, i was having a nap after lunch, 25minutes after i was out in space , back against the earth, multiple planets flashing in front of me, tried to wake up but i couldn't, tried to look behind me and see the earth but also without success,so i tried to calm down and vised places but i woke up without success.
I haven’t had a lucid dream in a while but when I do it’s always the same scenario where I’m running away from something or being a creepy haunted house. I realize I’m dreaming and try to either escape or try to make it a happy ending. If I know I’m not able to make it I decide to stop it and wake up.
The technique to achieve lucid dreaming is actually much more simplier....no diares no anything... Vadim Zeland explains it in his second book Transurfing 2 I think or Transurfing 3, not sure....I managed to achieve it after few days only but I got scared very quickly and woke up... But the colors OMG... It was incredible...
I have only managed to lucid dream a few times. I normally wake up the minute I realize I am actually dreaming. I have only astral traveled once but wasn't able to leave the house as fear held me back.
You can't read in your dreams and telephones/cellphones won't work because learning and memory centers (literacy, phone numbers, etc...) are different parts of your brain which are asleep. Same with dreaming you can't locate an address and sometimes you have no control over your car. Again, you learned to drive as a teenager after a childhood of not driving, so your sleeping brain has no clue how the damn thing works! I'm 52 and I have dreams where my cellphone can't reach anybody, and I'm getting old school landline recordings from the Bell System about disconnected numbers no longer in service.
I think everyone should practice lucid dreaming. It's way better than vr, it feels like real life and you can live out any fantasy you ever wanted. I feel like it's a waste of time not to
@@no-one00I recommend checking out lucid dream portal and giz edwards channels. The main things you'll need is a dream journal and reality checks. Meditation can also help

I lucid dream regularly and I once threatened the characters of my dream that if they don't do as I say, I'll wake up and they'll all disappear. The reason this happens is because you aren't in deep sleep. In the beginning stages of dreaming, you can't control it very much at all - only with highly focused concentration can you control it. The deeper you get into sleeping, the easier it is to control it.

i have lucid dreams quite regularly, but when I realise Im dreaming I wake up. My brain will go "this is obviously a dream and not real so might as well wake up". Anyone have any tips how to keep sleeping once you realise youre dreaming and asleep?

i’ve done it. never kept a dream journal i could just feel my eyes closed in my dream. it took practice because i’d forget to ask myself in my dream if i was dreaming. i would have methods to wake up from my nightmares. eventually my brain got too smart and my methods stopped working and my dreams got more vivid. like i can actually read in my dreams now and things will make sense. i can look at things twice and it’ll look the same even really detailed things like i saw strands of hair from a man’s beard and his pores and eye color. and my brain creates illusions of me waking up in my bed in the middle of the night (if i am panicking it can happen 10 times in one night or more). the only thing i can do now is stay calm and happy in reality and get an adequate amount of sleep to prevent vivid nightmares.
@@lovealexxxx3491 Be careful. And remember, although you may be entirely consciously in control at times, that doesn't mean your soul or physical form is.
When I was a kid, most people didn't believe lucid dreaming was a thing. I'm glad this has changed. :)

I don't think any credible lucid dreamer would support a show that ties it with anti-science such as astral projection. It just confuses those who are new to the subject, and makes them believe that it is something flakey and mystical. It isn't and deserves better representation.
Excitement? More like I almost died in my sleep of a heart attack. I FREAKED OUT. I'm scared to sleep again lol

when a child I could lucid dream...while so,in a lucid dreamstate, I asked aloud how I could see the future.
Start singing a song ore moving really fast with your arms
Ore counting
It will force your brain to focus something else and it will eventually "forget" to wake you up
Also as you already said, your brain wakes you up when you are too excited /scared ore something else bc it thinks you could be in danger
So try to stay relaxed maybe through meditation :)

Yes i have had lucid dreams though not many.
My input:
Lucid dreaming is so vivid and bright and the detail is EXACTLY like in waking life.

@@tunaking4689 Yeah. I agree
Good for u! I had it once long ago I finally awaken and was so afraid to go back to sleep.
@@mamielee9040 Yes. It is scary to go back to sleep.
If you ever want to see different techniques in order for lucidity, I have videos on this channel all about lucid dreams :)
One time I thought I woke up when infact was in a nightmare ,
I rolled out of bed to go get a glass of water and couldn't find my kitchen and then saw my sink in the living room and a old man sitting on the sofa just laughing in the dark my heart beating SO FAST and closed my eyes and thats when I really woke up😂
I love lucid dreaming, if I could do it every night I would. I'm not to sure about the reading part, I can read quite well in my dreams in fact I look for things to read to see if I'll get a message.
@Krish Superman it was mentioned here 1:30.
I often experience this and sometimes after waking up, i go back to sleep and go back to my dream 😅
@Krish Superman shut up
Be careful if your life isn’t right or your not grounded your only opening yourself up to things you don’t understand.
Your life doesn’t need to be grounded or “right” in order to positively experience lucid dreaming. I encourage everyone to get into it !
@@renstylez5089 aint lucid dreaming haram ?
@@renstylez5089 yes very true! But I think they meant to be careful Bcus ppl could experience something scary while being in a lucid dreaming state like sleep paralysis or astral projection, and even bad experiences with lucid dreaming could really scare a person.

I tryed it and got it first try. I was aware I was in a dream but My guy I couldn’t control myself.
I've had lucid dreams since I was a kid. As s kid I'd fly under water.. float up an sit in trees.. lol it was really cool. Any time I dream & don't like it.. I changed it like a tv channel. I thought everyone could do this.. now I know just how different I am. It's a blessing.
Mine was floating above buildings I know and I always wanted visit familiar places but I was scared of dieing in my sleep 🙈🙈 especially after taking MSM the lucid dreams are crazy and funny

Miss Dee, are you kidding yourself?! This is very dangerous, because you are messing with spiritual realm. Your body can get possessed with who knows what evil entities (demons). I warned you, the rest is on you.
@@Dzanarika1 what
Thr fact that we arent taught how to lucid dream or astral project growing up.
Were not even taught the basics of spiritual well being
@@Aali-nm4zk yes exactly
That might be the last thing they would ever teach us. Traveling in a higher dimension where the archons rule in our astral form as immortal spiritual beings is the last thing the elites want us to do. We are immortal beings capable of nano travel, telepathy, telekinesis, teleportation in the fourth dimension.
One time I had a regular dream where my dream self thought I was lucid dreaming. I tried to fly and suddenly it felt like I went on a drug trip
Watch out you can develop sleep paralysis, also if you havent watched inception watch that movie ;)

Adventurous
My first lucid dream was when I was a kid and I thought I had superpowers I’d tell my mom and family but no one would take me serious... fast forward to today and I now know it’s called lucid dreaming
I lucid dream pretty regularly and I like to write down all my dreams. Honestly it’s kinda nice, and sometimes, therapeutic.

I always thought about teaching myself this and after watching this movie im all in on understanding this
Lucid dreaming and astral projection are 2 completely different things.. lucid dreaming is simply being in a dream and then realising you are in a dream and the world around you isn't actually real, I had this happen to me in my late teens 3 times in the same week and at the time had no idea this was something other people experienced or that it was called lucid dreaming, it wasn't until years later I discovered this and it's amazing to have experienced this, imagine having the world at your feet, you can do what you want with no repercussions because you no you are in a dream, its the strangest most wonderful thing I have ever experienced,
I prefer astral projection than lucid dream, cos what i see in astral projection are reality world, but what i see in lucid dream is not real at all. Hence the former seems more meaningful. :)
I've never lucid dreamed or astral projection. What if you get stuck in that tunnel of light?
I have been able to control my dreams before ... so much that the dream was so good I wake up in the morning and remember the whole thing and want to “go through the door “ iykyk ... this serious is seriously so good especially if your into psychology and the psychodynamic approach behind it all.
I'm happy netflix did a lucid dreaming tutorial thanks
This mostly happens when I wake up too early then go back to sleep , I have some kind headache afterwards and tight muscles
My dreams are so crazy (aliens, mad lions, haunted castles....) that i do know it's a dream sometimes

Good one! Quite prejudicial, cause drewaming can also be good.
Behind her eyes makes me googling astral projection. Serie is such a good one
I lucid dream without practice. I thought everybody does until recently I found otherwise
I've had a few lucid dreams, but I've never quite mastered it. Then again I've never really put in enough practice.
One of my absolute favourite things to do in a lucid dream is fly, it's exhilarating.
Now talk about astral projection.

Definitely most of my lifee, if not always.
When awareness becomes aware of itself one's ability become clear

A show that ties lucid dreaming with new-age anti-science such as astral projection is doing the scientifically verified state of lucid dreaming a huge disservice. Sorry Netflix, but this series has confused the public about what lucid dreaming really is, and what it represents. Any lucid dreamer who cares about this subject would be offended by how it has been represented in this show.
Agreed
For all the days I watched Behind her eyes before going to sleep. I kept dreaming about doors
Big difference between Lucid dreaming and astral projection/travel . With the latter you literally leave your body and can go anywhere and encounter entities
I did really enjoy Behind Her Eyes though, despite the inconsistencies. with the truth.
I was dreaming and I did the same thing and I realized I was dreaming but didn’t last for long time and woke up
i had an experience, i was having a nap after lunch, 25minutes after i was out in space , back against the earth, multiple planets flashing in front of me, tried to wake up but i couldn't, tried to look behind me and see the earth but also without success,so i tried to calm down and vised places but i woke up without success.
astral projection is also a matter of study in the context of Behind Her Eyes.
I lucid dreamed today but I immediately woke up once I realized I was dreaming cause it kinda freaked me out lol
I wake up with a throbbing headache after lucid dreaming
