I think maybe the 3DS Mario Party had mini stars as well. Honestly, everyone being in the same boat was a bad gimmick. It completely removed individual strategy for moving around the board. I think 5, 6, 7, and DS have historically been my favorites. I might also like 8 but its been so long since I've played it that I can't remember.
