I'm not a native Spanish speaker, but you are sounding so Mexican with your Spanish, well done. Nice to see Valeria again, too bad she hasn't posted in years.
Great video! I had no idea that polyglot conferences like this even existed. It's fascinating to see so many people from different countries come together to share their passion for language learning.
I keep getting worried you'll stop posting and am always so relieved and excited to watch your new videos. Good job Elysse, you've been a huge inspiration for me starting my own language learning channel ! Keep up the great work 🎉
Why would you? i post videos usually 1-2x a month, I don’t want to feel like I need to post constantly or every week. that’s my usual posting schedule, i’m not disappearing lol
love your vlog style content as always. do you ever think you'll publish a video of your talk that you gave? as somebody who has always been interested in indigenous languages i would love to hear what you had to say about it :) p.s ive cried to "probablamente" too haha. your not alone
Wow, that is such an amazing event! Leider spreche ich nur wenige Sprachen. Familien min kommer fra Norge, men jeg snakker bare litt Norsk. J'avais le français à l'école, mais j'oubliais presque tout. Creators like you motivate me to brush up on my Norwegian and French, and hopefully add more languages later on.
You sound like a native speaker! Im italian. and currently learning Spanish (from Spain) and you just sound so mexican to me. And your videos inspire me so much to learn other languages
Rough Translation of Mandarin Chinese at 16:54 ... 我還不會說,但是我在學塞爾維亞語和烏克蘭語,還有很多其他的,但是說得不好。 "I still can't speak (the following languages) but I am currently learning Serbian and Ukrainian. And lots of others but I don't speak them very well"
Lovely language inspiration as always! Dear elysse what is your advice for learning a language to feel confidence in it. Should we work on one language at a time to feel that sense of proficiency? Before tackling any other? In other words it's about immersion in our target language only and focus on this before studying others?
16:54 I'm sure Valeria would've helped with that :P he said he doesn't speak them yet, but he's learning Serbian and Ukrainian...and many more, but he doesn't speak them well
I know I'm late and i don't know if someone got it right already but there were 9 languages English, Spanish, Russian, Ladino, German, French?, Japanese, (Idk if there was a new language here) Mandarin,
@@elyssedavega oh yes I'm aware! I meant more like I don't even understand Spanish, let alone Ladino haha I actually didn't know about the trajectory of Ladino until this week, so I'm fascinated that it has Turkish words
I feel like this is a dumb but I have to ask... Do you have to be a polyglot to attend the polyglot conference or can you go as a bilingual-ish language learner?
I like learning languages too it’s fun God created all the languages when people were making a tower called Babel everyone used to speak the same language and God gave us freewill so they were building this super tall tower out of pride but since God loves us and He only wants what is best for us He put a stop to that and created all the languages so that they would stop building the tower God bless you Jesus loves you ❤ It’s relationship not religion you should get to know Him ask Him to reveal Himself to you and He will 😊❤
"The way he uses the subjunctive is so beautiful" tell me you're a language learner without telling me you're a language learner. XD
Lol only polyglots would understand that
I MADE IT INTO AN ELYSSE SPEAKS VID?!?!? I'm famous!!!! Loved the vid!!
BAHAHA como no como no… thanks Nate!!!

I love how your videos are high quality but still comforting keep it up :D

👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 indigenous language learning presentation. Also love the Ladino presentation ❤
So cute to watch this and relive that weekend ❤️ you did a great job putting this vlog together, so much attention to detail and perfect pacing
we had a blast!!!
Dang your accent has never been better... It was like a Mexican spirit just jumped in you or something. Crazy what intense immersion does!
Omg can’t wait to learn multiple languages to go the polyglot conference.
You don’t need to speak a certain number of langs! you could even be monolingual and just language curious, no pressure

It’s not up to me to publish the talk, they had the event professionally videographed and have yet to upload it :/ i will ask though!

I'm mexican and I'm always wowed by your spanish!
Also nice fit
GOSPEL. Ask him if he remembers how to say that in at least 10 of those 20 languages? 😅👍
Lastima que ese tipo de eventos no se encuentran en mi pais aunque no soy poliglota me encantaria ir por lo menos a practicar inglés 😅
Elisse speaks kind of regular mexican Spanish, while Nate speaks cartoon´s mexican Spanish
Woah amazing!^_^❤
How do you sign up for the conference? This looks so fun :-D
I barely understand Spanish but when Carlos said 'kolay' I jumped :o it feels just like finding slavic words in Yiddish
it’s not Spanish, he was speaking Ladino! it’s a turkish word that made its way into Ladino
o hai

16:45 that guy speaks Arabic exactly like a native, I almost thought he's an Arab lol
el idioma ladino sonaba como español o catalán !
Ps I'm not sure if you already made a video on this but how do you maintain your languages when you may not have time to study every day?

Eh they suck as a Death Metal group however your hot wearing there 👕 lol it is interesting how you learning a language
They really screwed up the promotion of this event. I feel like none of the polyglot groups will recuperate from the covid hysteria
