Michelle is so real. She's like somebody you could actually know in your own life. Despite being the most beautiful actress in Hollywood history, she has never bought into the fake Hollywood scene.

thelrg22 Don't bother. PietreADI is obsessed, just look at him trolling all over this page, saying SJP looks like a horse and Pfeiffer is overrated. I encountered him on another Michelle Pfeiffer video running around telling everyone who commented positively why they were all stupid and no one should be allowed to like Pfeiffer. When I called him out on it, he started trolling my private page. Guy's a narcissist who thinks everyone needs to fall in line with his uninformed opinions.
So I thought that this was really a wonderful interview. SJP is very bright, open, articulate and clearly very passionate whilst MP is very calm and composed. I read through some of the comments but I didn't see this 'apparent dislike for each other' that others saw...I thought that they were both lovely towards each other.
Great stars. MP is so timelessly gorgeous. Give her an Oscar worthy role again asap please! SJP often speaks from a producers pov more than an actor's.
Michelle Pfeiffer is my favorite actress ever! Everyone always comments on how gorgeous she is, and yes, she definitely is a stunning woman, but her acting is astounding. She has incredible range. Watch "Love Field", "Dangerous Minds", "White Oleander", "Frankie and Johnny", "Married to the Mob". Basically just watch anything that Michelle is in. She's even great in "Grease 2". :)
When i think of Michelle i remember her role in The Fabulous Baker Boys and that song at the piano. I also recall a small but beautiful movie of hers called The Love Field.
I'm ceaselessly fascinated by these. Very interesting to actually hear actors discuss their craft so intimately with each other. Also love the cinematography, subdued and elegant.
Actually, I did not see her as having class. She's interviewing MP, and does nothing but interrupt MP, and constantly gives her own perspective. Then she goes on, and on about all of her attributes., and what she's done, and what she likes to do. The whole interview turned the spotlight on SJP, and there was very little MP. SJP manipulated the whole interview. That's anything but class. Unfortunately, she's a lot more like the real Carrie Bradshaw character in real life, and it is nauseating. It is all about her. She has to be the center of the focus, at all times. Very sad. And no, not classy at all.
I agree, but I sometimes get the feeling she is trying to make her sentences sound more intellectual by using a more elaborate way to explain herself. I don't know how to really explain what I'm trying to say, but she pauses a lot, and it seems like she is trying to think of a more eloquent way to say something, to sound more educated. Let me clarify though, that I think she is lovely and I enjoy her work.
"Articulate"? She couldn't say one sentence without stuttering! And, seeing she couldn't express herself clearly, kept saying "you know what I mean" all the time! I like her as an actor, but "eloquent" is not a word I would associate with this interview at least. Michelle Pfeiffer was maybe more concise but clearer as well.
Sheree: I'm sure it is. She does that in virtually every interview. Every time I watch her interviews I am always thinking, just speak, don't worry about sounding more intelligent. I enjoy what she has to say anyway, and the way it is delivered really doesn't matter to me.
My god, that was painful to watch. Articulate and eloquent are not the words I'd use to describe Sarah Jessica Parker. She could barely get out a full sentence.
Kenneth Branagh cast her in his remake of Murder on the Orient Express due out later this year. Normally I pass on remakes, but I saw Michelle in the trailer & I'm still an Agatha Christie fan.
Michelle is far more talented than Sharon and in my opinion, more talented than Jodie (who I do like a lot). Michelle can do dramas (The Age of Innocence, Love Field), rom coms (One Fine Day, I Could Never Be Your Woman), musicals/singing (The Fabulous Baker Boys, Hairspray, action movies (Batman Returns), etc. Basically she can do what Jodie can do and more. She's a more versatile actress. Jodie is excellent though. Sharon is extremely limited, but also very good in Basic Instinct.
It's ok, you're entitled to your opinion. The Age of Innocence is probably her best performance if you haven't seen it btw. You know when I realized she is better than most? When she and Sandra Bullock did The Prince of Egypt and Michelle sang her part in "When You Believe" and Sandra had someone else sing for her. I stand by my original point. Michelle can do dramas, ones that range from contemporary (at the time) like Dangerous Minds (her accent was seamless) to numerous period pieces (Age of Innocence, Dangerous Liaisons, Cheri). Sorry but I haven't seen Jodie do a lot of those. Don't get me wrong, I do like Jodie a lot but her performances are limited. But she is one of the best, still. Even Meryl Streep, who I think is the best actress in the world, has never done an action flick like Batman Returns the way Michelle has. I noticed you dismissed that movie but I thought she did an amazing job. Not a lot of actors can do what she did there. (Halle Berry tried to play Catwoman and failed miserably). Anyway to each their own. I think Michelle is great and her best performance is yet to come. I actually hope Jodie Foster comes back to movies and does one with Michelle. And I hope Michelle gets to work with Meryl some day.
PietreADI You're not gonna like it. Top directors: I do love Ingrid Bergmen (Scenes From a Marriage), and Nancy Meyers (I wish Michelle would work with her, I can tell her movies are not your cup of tea), Scorsese, James Cameron, Tim Burton (well, his older stuff like Scissorhands), and Spielberg. Man I wish he would direct Michelle some day. I know I picked famous ones but I gotta run to work so I don't have time to really think about it. My fav actors are Michelle Pfeiffer, Meryl Streep, Anita Mui, Maggie Cheung, Cate Blanchett, and Kate Winslet. Sorry I picked 5. I always have a top 5 with Michelle as beyond number 1 haha. I own all of Michelle's movies and watched most of them many, many times.
PietreADI I don't know much about Korean films. I was a film major in NYU btw so I do like a wide range of actors and directors (I don't have them memorized though). I think Michelle had a very good career and as a fan it was satisfying to watch her through the decades bc she did such a variety of work. I just wish she did more. She hasn't been super active since I am Sam.
I love Sarah Jessica's studious attitude and dedication to her craft, 'telling a story', is more than just acting, its approching the craft with pure and total counciousness, which is what is require to leave an indelible mark in life, people's heart, to create a piece for all time, its really call maturity at what you do, and studiously creating art.
I absolutely love SJP!! She seems fun to talk to! I just really like how she carries herself. Michelle is such a beautiful actress, as well. Love both of them, but SJP is one I look up to. She’s so different in the best way possible. I throughly enjoyed listening to this conversation. Thanks, Variety. :)
I love that Sarah Jessica Parker has actual movement in her forehead, and whole face - how exquisite! But Michelle Pfeiffer is VERY lovely too. This was brilliant!!
I love how SJP never changed her nose or anything about her face. A woman with such exposure and success from the STC show one would think she'd succumb to the pressures of the beauty standards demanded by and within Hollywood. Yet, she remained true to herself, naturally. Admirable
Both different and both very unique. Considering they are both in there 50's - SJP 52 and Michelle 59 - they really raise the bench for women to aspire to - intelligence wise and how amazing they've looked after themselves....Go Girls, Go...
Michelle Pfeiffer had been my favourite since my tens when I first saw her in ladyhawke, she went on to be my teenage crush, although I didn't know it yet.
I can watch SJP all day everyday... She is so different from the typical Hollywood actor. She seems genuine enough, she shows her little imperfections that make her endearing. And let's talk about Michelle Pfeiffer. I have been in love with her since Catwoman. (my favourite Catwoman) And 30 years later, she is as gorgeous and classy as ever. Interesting interview. Less ''Kiss-Ass'' and more stumble and real. Great women and inspirations for actors.
Michelle, FYI....when I think of you, I think of White Oleander. I feel like that was your best, most magnetic character. Although I will say that as a little girl, you made me want to be Catwoman for the rest of my life. I also mostly think of Deep End of the Ocean and What Lies Beneath, probably the two most vulnerable performances.
BriarRose You are So gay! Every gay guy loves that movie especially white gay men she reminds them of their own mother LOL the cool cute sexy gays love and think CATWOMAN has and will alwyas be her best role ever!
When I first saw Pfeiffer in "Grease 2" I thought this actor won't last. How wrong I was. Pfeiffer was brilliant in "Russia House" & "Age of Innocence".
Well all I have to say is wow, what a fabulous co-interview and so normal!! They, especially Sarah Jessica, being non-scripted, gave amazing, normal, off the cuff comments, sometimes stuttering or stumbling over their words to really express themselves, like we all do when our thoughts get ahead of our verbal words!, I thoroughly LOVED this interview! And oh btw, not for nothing, my favorite Michelle Pfeiffer role is Frankie and Johnny, a classic love story that can and should be watched over and over again xoxo
I ❤️ both of them. OBSESSED with both of them. They are two of my Absolute favorite of all times. Michelle Pfeiffer is LIFE!!!! Wolf is one of my favorite!!
always loved Michelle Pfeiffer just living legend most beautiful i thought Kim Basinger & Michelle Pfeiffer were (Marilyn Monroe & Bridget Bardot ) of the 80's & 90's
It appears to me that SJP is trying to "upstage" Michelle with her self professed producer experience/work. No one can match the grace, charm and classic beauty of Michelle. She is timeless class and sophistication. Ageless too.
Wow...amazing interview! Love this idea you get so much more instead of just watching them on some daytime talkshow pushing their newest project. So insightful and well....cool.
And for the record, I like both SJP and Pheiffer. But do feel the Pheiffer is more the true "actress" and SJP I more the "star/commodity". Pheiffer harkens back to old school classic cinema - the Greta Garbos, Grace Kellys, etc. of the classic era. SJP is definitely of the 21st century and wants to be trendy, part of the social media gen, etc. Just an observation.
I beg to disagree Sjp And MP careers started about the same time MP started in 83 scarface and SJP in 85 in GJWHF.....both amazing and gorgeous....of the same caliber both have golden globes both have emmy's both do not have Oscar's .....
I agree Michelle is exactly like Garbo in a couple of ways : unaffected , doesn’t buy into the Hollywood b.s. , does the work and chose family over the “Hollywood scene”. Garbo didn’t have the family but she did her work and forgot about Hollywood but If you mentioned Garbo people lost their minds . I think Michelle kinda has that allure because of the film work she did and continues to do.
Into the Night is my favorite all time movie. I own it and watch it often. Best decentred movie ever made. I finally showed it to my mother the year before she died. She was 83 at the time. And I didn't tell her in advance that it was good or that it was my favorite. After the film was over, Mom turned toward me and said, "NOW that is GOOD film."
Wow, I never like Michelle Pfeiffer until this interview. I had no idea she was so into her children and realizes that they still need you as a parent at all ages. Very cool.
Michelle works with such integrity and care. Her high acting standards, endless beauty, deep emotional intelligence = she deserves an OSCAR!

Sarah needs to have her own talk show she is amazing as good as oprah
I love the way each one shows their personality, so unique. love them both, my idols
Michelle Pfeiffer... a legend ❤️
I love how SJP never changed her nose or anything about her face. A woman with such exposure and success from the STC show one would think she'd succumb to the pressures of the beauty standards demanded by and within Hollywood. Yet, she remained true to herself, naturally. Admirable
Thank you for these interviews I love this series so much please keep it going, Michelle is my favorite actress ❤️
Great Interview, Great actresses!
How about the fantastic Dangerous Liasons. Michelle Pfeiffer was so good with John Malcovitch and Glen Close in that movie.
It upped her game, no doubt.
What about it? They mentioned it.
I could listen to these two talk all day :)
I love both of these two and love seeing them and their different personalities come together!! And I loveeeee Michelle in White Oleander!!
SJP eyes are so blue they look unreal Amazing.
What a nice and fun chat! Smart and gorgeous actresses!!!
Love how these ladies are approaching aging - with grace, healthy living, and a little bit of work.
Christine Jary. Plus Millions of dollars and LOTS of free time.
"Into the Night" is my favorite too!
listening to two goddesses talk about their work, careers, being mum's so eloquent, talented, graceful..inspiration right there
Michelle Pfieffer! "She was once the most beautiful actress" is just so wrong. I mean look at her! Stunning!
Many Blank Pages Agree! Ageless beauty.
I was not expecting this to be as interesting and thought provoking as it actually was.
BriarRose I also loved her in Scarface and Witches of Eastwick - those are the ones that come to mind first for me.
BriarRose You are So gay! Every gay guy loves that movie especially white gay men she reminds them of their own mother LOL the cool cute sexy gays love and think CATWOMAN has and will alwyas be her best role ever!
BriarRose agreed . I always think of that movie abd Evan Rachel wood has grown to become a beautiful human being 💜'lly ladies
I was surprised at how seemingly difficult it was for each of them to get out any words. It was like pulling teeth.
I love how normal these women are. They are moms and wives before anything just makes me love and want to support their work.
Michelle has this incredible magnetic quality....
They are both great, but I noticed SJP was kind of interrupting most of Michelle's answers.
I would love to see a movie were Michelle Pfeiffer and Cate Blanchett work together, it must be out of this world a Power Movie.
Me too
I've never clicked on a RUclips video so fast in my life :)
When I first saw Pfeiffer in "Grease 2" I thought this actor won't last. How wrong I was. Pfeiffer was brilliant in "Russia House" & "Age of Innocence".
I loved her in Up Close and Personal.
"No, I asked you First" ... I Love Michelle, sublime power
I love that too 😆👌
The way they keep cutting each other off is so annoying
I notice in the beginning Sarah explained Michelle her character for her !
This is how women talk in real life.
I agree... it is so annoying to listen to therm cutting each other off. Difficult to listen. Sorry.
true
Michelle pfeifer was my first acting crush😍
Well all I have to say is wow, what a fabulous co-interview and so normal!! They, especially Sarah Jessica, being non-scripted, gave amazing, normal, off the cuff comments, sometimes stuttering or stumbling over their words to really express themselves, like we all do when our thoughts get ahead of our verbal words!, I thoroughly LOVED this interview! And oh btw, not for nothing, my favorite Michelle Pfeiffer role is Frankie and Johnny, a classic love story that can and should be watched over and over again xoxo
Both beautiful, MP has absolutely had work done. I’m in that space- you can tell these things immediately but done very well and natural.
I ❤️ both of them. OBSESSED with both of them. They are two of my Absolute favorite of all times. Michelle Pfeiffer is LIFE!!!! Wolf is one of my favorite!!
She will always be my Catwoman!🐱
always loved Michelle Pfeiffer just living legend most beautiful i thought Kim Basinger & Michelle Pfeiffer were (Marilyn Monroe & Bridget Bardot ) of the 80's & 90's
omg these two !!
I agree with SJ Parker, M. Pfeiffer's "Into the night" with J Goldblum was fantastic.
i could listen to Michelle Pfeiffer all day, what a soothing voice. I love her a lot ❤️
It appears to me that SJP is trying to "upstage" Michelle with her self professed producer experience/work. No one can match the grace, charm and classic beauty of Michelle. She is timeless class and sophistication. Ageless too.
Michelle has a much better filmography while most of SJP's filmography is made up of Sex and the City movies.

Definitely
Great to see these two accomplished women talk in this way. Such concrete evidence of how far they go to create character in their work.
SJP is correct - "Into the Night" is great. Plus Michelle's sister Dedee is in it!
And “The Age of Innocence”!!! Michelle was soooo good in that! ❤❤Love her as cat woman, too!
This series is a Godsend! I love seeing thesps talk shop
Only here for Michelle Pfeiffer.
Love this shows. Michelle and SJP are the best ones! such an icons!!!
Wow, I never like Michelle Pfeiffer until this interview. I had no idea she was so into her children and realizes that they still need you as a parent at all ages. Very cool.
MICHELLE PFEIFFER BABY!! ICON FOREVER!!❤️❤️❤️
Big fan of both actresses❤❤❤such a good interview 🎉🎉🎉
I love both of these two. They are both class acts.
Sarah has such beautiful eyes and Michelle is just gorgeous.
