Awesome to see Jirard got invited by Sony, especially for such a cool upcoming game.
Never did I think Spider-Man 2 would be compared to Superman 64 in any capacity 😂
But it's done right.
Everything that gets revealed about this game only makes it so much better. I can't wait for it to be released.
Fr, the best part of hearing this review is the optimization for the game. Seeing how Starfield didn’t feel that optimized it makes me fucking excited for this game!

I remember seeing the initial reveals for Spider-Man 2 and people were getting pissy that the map was the same.
It's Spider-Man. He does his super-heroing in New York City. They wouldn't even have to expand the map at all, they could've just done the same map with some buildings being changed and I would've been happy.
The setting doesn't just magically change for a sequel, New York City is what works for the character and that will NEVER change.
As if I couldn’t be any more excited for Spider-Man 2, knowing that you enjoyed what you played definitely gets me more hyped! And I don’t even have a PS5 yet!

Insomniac have always excelled at iteration; taking the foundation of past games and improving them leaps and bounds to make the experience even better. They've been making Ratchet & Clank games for over 20 years that all "play the same" but always throw in some new mechanic and an abundance of new weapons to play around with. That looks like the case here too. I felt like while Miles Morales' game wasn't a huge mechanical change, it did have alot of small changes that improved on the 2018 spidey game; specifically enemy behavior, powers and gadgets that work better in tandem with your moveset (instead of just goon deleters) and no civilian stealth missions.
Thank you for sharing this sneak peak of the game. I can’t wait.

I just thought of something... Kraven is in the church with Peter, while he is wearing the black suit, which is seizing from the sound of the bell(s), right? So - and this would be insane, but - what if Kraven is secretly going to be Venom? I mean, they have not actually confirmed the identity of Venom, right?

This game is looking better and better. I had the though during the video that an overarching theme for characters might be addition or at least unhealthy addition for Peter and the villains he fights.
As someone who won't likely jump on this gen for another year (and might just hold out for the Switch 2) I'm pumped to eventually buy the ultimate Spider-man trilogy collection with all the DLC

Looks nice, Miles Morales burnt me out of Spiderman but I feel like enough time has passed that I'll be ready for this one when it comes to PC. But the next game needs to be set somewhere else, only so many times you can see the same environment reused and I think 3 times is enough.

1. Like a Dragon Gaiden (No one's going here, yet, I assume for exactly the reason I AM: It's the biggest, and most consistently visible, AAA franchise that hasn't gotten a full GOTY nod yet. So I think it's probably in. And, yeah, I'm also going HERE: If it's in, it WINS.)

I find it hilarious that the title of this game retroactively turned the miles morales game into a spinoff title even though the plot of that game is still canon.

I can't even describe how sad I am that I won't get a chance to play this game. I got the special edition PS4 pro when the first came out. Was super tempted to dip into my rent money when they announced the PS5s for this game. Not that stupid though.
You know the game will still be available years from now. You'll probably have a chance to play it sooner or later.
