I really enjoyed watching how you switch out and make up trains on this layout, very interesting and educational. My small inglenook has plenty switching/shunting ability, but watching this video has given ideas how to mix it up and make it more interesting and difficult. Thank you.
I follow your blog and read every email earnestly. Growing up on the Coast Line and the Santa Barbara Sub. The espee is in the blood. Rail fanning the White Hills Branch I saw a siding that meandered off into a field where a structure for loading was. ( I thought it was for vegetable packing, in the late 60s in elementary school in Carpentaria all during recess a GP 9 would move empties in, loads out of PFE reefers at the fruit packing house owned by Sunkist local lemons ) I asked an old timer in Lompoc what that siding was for, he said it was Burpee Seed Co. Flower and vegetable seeds for home gardening. I think Burpee Seeds would be a great addition somewhere if you need more AG Products and have room for a small siding.
Antoine Berben the 1423 is built in 1941, NW2 switchers are some of the oldest diesels the SP had. The official oldest was the NW2’s little brother the SW1, which was built in 1939.👍

Shoot by this era (1953) SP already had SD7 diesels too.

It's a brass import don't know the manufacturer though.
