I belong to jharkhand. I still remember the day Ganguly promoted him in batting order. I was literally praying to god...k at least uska 50 ho jaye..so that next match Jo k uske home ground Keenan stadium jamshedpur m hone wala tha usme s usko drop na kre....and bhgwan n kya suni meri us din..he scored 148😊 and rest is history. We watch that match on our black and white tv. But after this match we wanted that,the next match of dhoni we must watch on colour tv. We somehow managed enough money to buy..we broke out piggy banks..our mom has contributed with some money and somehow we arranged the required amount and we did watch that match in colour tv. Dhoni was such an emotion. Jaise apne Ghar ka ho.❤

Oh bhai, this comment gave me goosebumps, I am from Jamshedpur, was in class 3/4 then, just knew that this guy is playing for India, hadn't done much before that in the Bangladesh your, I was at my nanihal in Kolkata then, went to a know relative cum neighbours house, and Dhoni was promoted up the order, felt so proud, I can't even explain till today. Initially we thought he is from Jamshedpur, but then got to know that as Keenan was the only international ground in Jharkhand (then), it was his home ground, but he hailed from Ranchi.
I went to Ranchi to pursue my higher education in 2020-22, and a lot of my nostalgia related to him, made me love the city even more, apart from the fact that I had a brilliant core group in College, so overall worth the hype, feeling and emotion.

One of the best tribute, I remeber a match IND vs PAK, India was 29-5 and then came dhoni, and I still remember everyone was telling dhoni hai n abhi, and from there he scored a century with bhuvi and ashwin in the other end, though India lost the match but he was given the man of the match award, I think this was one of the best match.
