Thanks brother yeah f cancer ! I fought for 13 years and was terminal but I found a dr who tried some experimental chemos on me and after two bone marrow transplants I’m in remission. I heard you say you fought cancer and idk if your still fighting cancer or in remission but I pray Gods healing over you brother. Jesus Christ will heal you either here or in heaven but I pray he revels himself to you mightily and if you haven’t already, that you give your life to him brother. Amen. Thanks brother I had so much fun that day :) . Florida fishing is epic ! I was fighting cancer 13 years and was stage 4 terminal :( but yes I gave my self to god and he healed me ! Drs call me a medical miracle ;) I am now in remission :) god is amazing.
I try to stick to the natural bait colors like anchovy black and silver And I use the sardine color blue and silver 5/8 ounce . Thanks man I had a blast, it’s been a few years since I’ve been able to do this ;) . I was on a over night trip on the fury for yellowtail and I got Geon beret syndrome and lost the use of my body :( I didn’t know what the fuxk was happening but when I got off the next night I had my amazing mother take me to the hospital and by then I was loosing the use of my face, hands along with my legs and feet . I felt like I had a stroke and drs said it may be years til I walk again :( but I’m stubborn as hell and here I am just one year later after beating cancer and having to learn how to walk again from be in the hospital a year then the Geon bray syndrome and I had to learn how to walk again last summer :( but this summer I’m going to live it up ! I got a new boat and an insane metal detector I built people are gonna trip on lol, but all in all god has blessed me with a second chance as I beat all that s . Now it’s fishing time and living my best life . I love to have fun and teach on this channel so stay tuned this summer is gonna be epic !

I will be metal detecting a lot more this summer especially now that the weather is hot but I’ve been fishing a lot as it’s very therapeutic for me ;) I appreciate your support brother ;) . Free fishing day is awesome ! We should have more than just one day though . Kids need to get out and fish
they should change legal size for calicos...those are so small...let em grow more......after fishing sitka alaska the black bass are bigger than socal calicos ...lol
Yeah I don’t normally keep calicos but there is a special baked dish I like to make with em so I kept em . Legal size here was 12” but it’s 14” now and these fish are our off shore bread and butter fish in so cal :) you can catch a hundred sometimes before you get your legal 5 so there’s no shortage here . I agree slow to grow let em go but they made a excellent meal for me and 3 others a few night back ;)
@@JUANORTEGA-or1ht most the day I fished my United composites elite fast action 25-40 8’ stick matched with a lexa 400 HD ;) this is usually a lot heavier than I normally fish for calicos but I was hoping to see some yellowtail and some barracuda action so I fished a little heavier. Thanks for watching brother hope you learned something ;) I try to be very informative on my videos and I should explain what I’m fishing more often ;)
I been fishing Southern California my whole life and have caught it all on this rig, blue fin tuna , yellow fin , yellowtail, white seabass , halibut , calico, sand, spotted bay bass, barracuda, and Bonito And then there’s the rock fish I catch reds, sculpin and salmon grouper with them as well ;) this rig is very effective when using a baitcaster setup as spinners will get one 3/4 -5/8 ounce hookup out there pretty easily but not so much with a bait caster and when getting away from the boat is crucial I will up size my hookups to double 5/8 ounce hookups and get it out there ;) . Yes there is a chance to hook two big fish and loose one but you still have the one fish you would have had if you were only fishing one anyways . I fish probably 2-3 times a week and this is my go to setup when Pelagic fish come to play.

There is a reason experienced fishermen dont fish more than 1 hook when surface fishing .
