Great video, didn't have this exact issue, just wanted to know how to disassemble the centre console to get to the shifter mechanism. If you've still got this car a mod that I highly recommend is to replace the bushes that are under the 4x mounting points for the shifter assembly. Standard ones are so soft the entire assembly can move about when changing gear...this slightly loose shift change drove me mad. This little mod works like a charm and significantly improves the shift feel and movement, much more positive. They are made by beatrush in Japan.

    • @wallsworkshop
      @wallsworkshop 5 месяцев назад

Thanks! Cheers for the info on those beatrush bushes that is defo something I will look into, I didn't know they existed. It's not something that drives me mad personally but I do know what you mean by the loose shift feel.

Hey mate, I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for the amazing content you’ve been sharing about our shared passion for the ZC32S. Your content has been incredibly helpful and informative.
I’m currently facing an issue with my ZC32S 2012 that I was hoping you might have some insight on. My manual transmission is giving me some trouble - sometimes it gets stuck when shifting gears or becomes hard to shift, and other times it makes a grinding noise when moving from one gear to another. Have you ever encountered a similar problem with your car, or do you have any ideas on what might be causing this issue?

Yeah man this is a notorious failure on all swift’s unfortunately, it’s such an easy repair though wishing is good, I know there’s another bush on the gearbox itself but that’s in tact. I’d recommend having a look at your bush maybe just to make sure it’s all good. It could be worse at least it’s not the entire gearbox haha

@@wallsworkshop yes its a very easy fix i am glad you just happen to record what was going on and showed the easy fix :)
my car wont start, went to FINALLY get out to create some videos and BAM car wont start. has power I can hear the starter trying to slowly tick over but nothing. I'm going to cry myself to sleep and sort it when I wake up haha. FML.

And no way, it’s not going your way at the moment mate that’s gutting :( I hope you get it sorted as soon as, keep me posted on what was up with it too I’d be interested to find out. Fingers crossed it’s nothing major!

@@wallsworkshop just make sure you always have phone battery or a camera handy because you never know when an opportunity to make a video happens :p
thankfully it was just the battery, nothing major. i went to start the car a second time later in the day and everything was dead. swapped battery and its firing up better than it ever did. it must of been on the go the whole time I've owned the car

@@xxxnitrocorexxx absolutely, video opportunities come from nowhere occasionally :D
Happy days then, it’s surprising how the little things can make such a big difference to how the car runs. And you’ll probably find that to be the case.
I’m swapping my spark plugs out soon and I’m expecting a big difference, they’ve not been changed in a little while 😅

Mine went at 27k I was really disappointed and I drive mine very gently.

Where is the black round thing for ? I have zc33s and seems same problem later. I just did the bushings upgrade and saw some wear already on only 28k Km

wow 28k km is very early for that to happen. Which part do you mean exactly?

Hiya, sorry to bother you but would you know if this is possibly the same cause of the exact same symptoms (can only engage 3rd and 4th gears) on my 2015 Suzuki S-Cross 6 speed manual?
I just had to drive back from Blackpool to Glasgow tonight with 2 gears 😩

Hiya, no problem don't worry :) Yes this will be the exact cause if you only have 3rd and 4th gear, I'm sure the set up across these 6 Speed Suzuki Manuals are all the same. I bet that was a nightmare of a drive from Blackpool to Glasgow in 4th 😕 With all gears though it's quite a nice drive once you get past Lancaster 😂

Hiya, good morning and thank you so much for taking the time to reply to my message.
Yeah it wasn’t the best driving home such a long distance in 4th gear 😩 but my fuel economy still returned 55mpg which I was really happy with lol.
Okay I’m gonna see if I can strip down my centre console today and make a temporary fix while I order the new parts.
I can see the repair kit online for £39 that you mentioned in your video but what I’m not sure about is whether they are all the same or different for each model.
Thanks again for your video and your message. I really appreciate it 😊

@@echo4418 55MPG in 4th gear that's impressive! The repair kit should cater to all models with the 6 speed manual, it should say in the title of the listing what does fit but I'm pretty sure it will :) You're most welcome, best of luck with the repair 😎
