The Timmee guys are great. Also they are available now in lots of different colors,so you can use the blue as navy, white as snow troops, black as SS,etc. Although I have a BIG collection from other manufacturers I use the Timmee guys pretty much as my standard modern soldiers. The inclusion of heavy weapons (mortar, flamegunner, bazooka, etc.) makes them especially useful. Incidentally the pose you say is "getting shot" is described by the company as an "infantry commander" or sergeant, but originally he had a grenade in his right hand. In fact he still has the grenade pouch hanging by a shoulder strap. But the company decided he was more useful without the grenade so it was eliminated.
@@Husk2280 Who told you that? Timmees are available RIGHT NOW from lots of different mail-order sources such as "Toy Soldier HQ" down in Florida, or "Michigan Toy Soldiers", the "Hobby Bunker", etc. Maybe not all the colors but quite a few....
@@Husk2280 I just visited the Michigan Toy Soldiers website, and YES the greens and tans ARE available right now for about 18 dollars for a bag of 100.
This are the vietnam era ones. It replaced the WW2 Timmy soldiers from the early sixties.I like the WW2 ones. It came with the medical crew. The Dog and nurse with it.
The only real difference between US and Europe army men is the scale. US market is flooded with 1/35, while Europe has always had a preference for 1/72.
