  • In this Metricool tutorial, I'll show you how to batch create and bulk upload social media posts scheduled for multiple social media platfoms using Metricool.

    Metricool solved my social media dilemma: I knew I needed to be leveraging social media platforms to get my content under the eyeballs of more people, but I LOATHED the thought of logging into 4-6 different platforms every day and dealing with all of their different interfaces to make a post and engage.
    Metricool, which calls itself the swiss-army-knife of social media, lets me create a piece of content once and post or schedule it to multiple social media platforms. Better yet, I can fill in a spreadsheet with all the details of multiple posts to bulk upload social media posts, complete with my specific publish dates and other details, and Metricool does the rest. AND, I can use autolists to create a cache of content EASILY by just providing a spreadsheet of the post text and image/video (optional) and give Metricool a repeating schedule to publish posts from the autolist. I also have autolists that are fed by RSS feeds - when I post a new RUclips video or a new blog post Metricool picks those up and shares them across all my socials! That's automation!!
    If you haven't noticed, I'm really excited about Metricool !

    Awesome stuff. Do you know if we would be able to upload from Microsoft OneDrive, rather than Google Drive?

    • @excelerator
      @excelerator  6 месяцев назад +1

      I reached out to Metricool and they said "You must verify that the Onedrive url can be configured as public and that the link has all permissions." To confirm, I asked if setting the link to "Anyone with link can edit" was the appropriate configuration and they said yes.
      I would have preferred to use OneDrive myself, since it has so much more available storage. The reason I went with Google Drive is because I had a somewhat easy way to export a list of URLs from a folder in Google Drive and had not found such a tool for OneDrive.
      You might want to do a small test with the OneDrive link, just to make sure it's going to work OK. Nothing more frustrating getting everything put together for 100 posts only to find out you have to go back to the drawing board. [from experience 🤦] 😁

    Hey, is it possible to upload videos in batch? I attempted to include a Drive link in the Photo #1 cell, but that failed. I don't see a predefined cell for video URLs.

    • @excelerator
      @excelerator  3 месяца назад

      Yes, I just reached out to Metricool to confirm... The picture URL 1 column is where the video link goes. Might want to make sure the post type fields are correct for whatever platforms you're posting to. Otherwise, click the chat button on the bottom right of any Metricool page.... They have always been helpful and friendly when I'm stuck.

      @@excelerator thanks for the quick response! Okay. I’ll start with a fresh template download and attempt one platform at a time, then build from there. And nice I didn’t notice the chat button. Thanks again!

    Would it be better to just do this in the Scheduler? I don't have metricool yet, I been watching videos to make sure I know what I'm doing... thanks

    • @excelerator
      @excelerator  5 месяцев назад

      Whatever way works for you is the best way. Even if you don't bulk upload or setup an autolist, I like how I can create a post once on metricool and just check the boxes to have it go to different platforms.

      Are you running into the problem when you try to upload a csv file, use AutoList, or when you create a single post in metricool? I'm happy to make a video and help... Just want to make sure I cover the issue you're specifically encountering.

    Hey great tutorial! Unfortunately this is not working for me. I did exactly how you described but I get the Error message after uploading the cvs "we have not been able to validate some of the characteristics of the multimedia content". The text can be read out but the media not. However using the same media link in the Autolist csv template works without any problems. I also did download the template again to be sure that there is no formatting error etc.. Any hints for me? I would be very thankful :)

      That's a weird sounding error! There should be a little chat bubble on the lower right of metricool where you can live chat with support. I found them very helpful. I haven't run into this issue before, but I'll poke around and see if I can recreate it.

    • @excelerator
      @excelerator  27 дней назад +1

      You can grab the template directly from the Metricool website... go though the same process you would to upload a sheet - the page will pop up where you would upload your file and, on that popup page, the blank template will be toward the bottom with the option to download. If you have trouble finding it, just live-chat metricool support (there's an icon on the bottom right of every metricool screen) and tell them you need the bulk upload template. They can either send it to you or walk you through downloading it.
