I’ve been tapped into Joyner since Mansion and winter blues. I knew there was something different about this dude. Then ross cappicioni was so dope and the remixes was a whole other level. Fast forward to Joyner literally working with all of his idols doing a song with them. It’s unheard of to have such a fast rise and respect in hip hop by legends.
Something about him bred familiarity with me. I felt like I knew Joyner in the past or something. Maybe it’s the east coast vibe as I’m from NY and he’s from Massachusetts. But you can tell he’s influenced by pretty much all of the artists he’s worked with.
He’s got bars like Eminem, story telling like J.Cole, but can still do a hit song with Lil Baby.
