I like the large open doorways. Traditional sized doorways seem so out of place in many buildings now

I like this floor plan. Instead of hallways and landings that serve no purpose, those areas were enlarged to become useful.

It reminds me of 1980’s condos. They were shite then and they’re shite now. Everything seems “cheap” and the furniture is ugly and out of place. The point of having a study is having a place to shut out everything and everyone else so you can concentrate on what you are doing. A glass wall and no doors does not make a study. Also, the bookshelf extending into both spaces is ugly as well. The entire place has that
“plasticky” cheap feel to it. No warmth or “homey” feel to it. Like the DMV or a waiting room at a government office.

What happens if one person wants to read or listen to music, and another one wants to watch sports, or a movie?

The less walls you build the more money you got to spend somewhere else. It's a lot more important in Portugal since our walls are made of bricks and/or concrete; you can really save a lot, but a lot of money.
