Storm water straight on the ground is a huge erosion concern and illegal here. It has to go to storm water drains, the original poster is correct with erosion concerns
As a general contractor in Scandinavia (one of the regions with the most advanced building codes in the world and often 70-80°C seasonal temperature variations) this gets a big thumbs up from me. I'm only commenting on the foundation. This build is clearly in a northern climate with 4 seasons and this fully floating slab is a great design that will last a very long time without cracking. I see evidence of well thought out drainage around the site. He is protecting against diagonal frost intrusion by laying down an insulating skirt around the perimeter and sloping the terrain away from the structure. The edge of the slab is insulated and he has over 20cm of XPS insulation under the slab on well compacted ground. The only things that are missing is a 0.20mm vapour barrier and/or a radon gas barrier just over the XPS. The slab itself is very well reinforced with steel (and raised up around 5cm) and the footers (the deeper trench along the edges and in the center) are going to support the weight of the building well. I see many comments are from the USA here. Your building codes are slow to keep up with modern innovations and we can clearly see it in the quality of most aspects of your buildings. I mean no insult here! For those of you who build in the northern states or in Canada there's a lot for you to learn here especially with global energy prices going the way they are. There are better ways to build houses than what you're being taught. Anchoring to bedrock in this case would prevent the house from being able to adjust itself seasonally. Great build! I agree that North American home building codes are behind in many respects. I worked as a realtor for 8 years and visited hundreds of homes every year. Our industry is profit driven and designed to build cheap and fast. Yes there are some innovative builders but the vast majority follow the path of least resistance to making money. Our climate in Ottawa can be harsh on structures and yet we continue to build the same way we did 50 years ago with some time saving techniques and better materials but the results are similar. We don’t build with a 100 year mindset. Roofing is a prime example: Shingles have a life span of 8-15 years depending on the exposure. Then these shingles go to a landfill.. This is nuts. We have the materials and technology to build more efficient homes with better energy conservation. This comes down to political will.

If this isn't done, we usually see diagonal cracking 1.5 meters in from the corners due to frost heave. Ideally we'd like to see the xps double as wide by the outside corners since frost attacks corners from 2 directions.
Well said, until recently the situation was similar here and the boost in quality came from the most unexpected sources: banks and insurance companies. The insurance companies' motivations are self-explanitory but the bank's influence to improve code was an eye-opener for many. They truly play the long-game. For them a well built house represents potentially 5-8 different families that will, without pause take out maximum mortgages over the span of the next 250 years on the same house. Once again...follow the money! In this case however, this calculating view results in better and healthier dwellings.

Тоже считаю замуровывать навсегда такие постоянно работающие вещи как канализация или та же инсталляция это лотерея. Нет ничего практичнее чем лента, плюсом дешевле.

Im the 60s, my dad built with his 3 brothers a 4-story condo of 8 apartments. It took them 18 months, and they hired just an engineer for the structural design and an architedt for the submissions of building permits. They basically did all construction works by themsleves. The idea was that each brother had his own apartment, plus an extra apartment available for renting. The building is still there, it has been renovated few years ago and is full of families living. Pity there was no YT in the 60s.😅
So they fixed electricity themselves aswell? In sweden a person thats not an electrician is not allowed to fix electricity in a new or old house because of safety. How is it in your country, or is your dad also an electrician?
@bentan1774one my uncles was a registered electrician. now retired. my father got his degree into hydraulic and plumbing instead, so that's also why they could deal with many aspects "in house".

Мужчины, я не очень понимаю в строительстве, но мне тоже интересно😊, а пеноблоки легко выдержат нагрузку 2 этажа, пусть даже и деревяного и я не заметила какой там фундамент.
Как строитель с 45-летним стажем подписываюсь под каждым вашим словом .И скажу что да не только прямые руки нужны , но и большая куча денег .Свой дом строил сам , хотя в то время работал бригадиром и бригада была в состоянии помочь.Хотелось всё своими руками .Всё сделал по своему проэкту и своей задумке .Смотрю иногда на дом и не верится что это всё я сам построил .Годы и здоровье уже не то.

Hah at first i though this was the foundation...no concrete, no supporting beams ... :) But if some pipe starts to leak after a time i cannot think what a headache would be to fix it with this dense concrete structure...
Every building permit application requires a verified structural analysis. The building owner is obligated to build according to these plans. If an inspector, during a spot check, observes that materials (such as the polystyrene in the video) are not being used as specified in the plans or that the workmanship appears amateurish, construction can be halted or an expensive expert report from a certified structural engineer can be demanded.

@nigelbase1196 Oh brother. Maybe in Sweden. Where I live, in British Columbia, Canada, construction is rife with more criminality and shady practices than any other major industry. I'm not sure why this is, but probably because home construction presents so many opportunities to conceal bad work--at least until the perpetrators are long gone. I'd say that about 20% of the people working in construction cut corners and then hide their crimes behind drywall or bury them underneath concrete. This is followed by padding their invoices. Oh, and as an added bonus, the theft of whatever they can lay their hands on while at the job site. I've known so many renovations and jobs that have ended in lawsuits. So how do they get away with it? There's such a shortage of construction workers here that desperate homeowners hire contractors without any real recommendations or proof of competence at all, just to get the job done. Then there's the delightful practice of folding the company hired to do the job as soon as any legal trouble arises. Suddenly, the entity whom you contracted to do the job doesn't exist anymore. There's no one to sue! I don't know how it is elsewhere in North America, but if you want everything "done right," you'd better hire someone you know, or take the time yourself, to monitor the build from start to finish.

Ты же понимаешь, что он не себе дом строил? Это обычные наёмные рабочие, которые строили дом какому-то богатому человеку. И внутренней отделкой скорее всего просто занималась бригада. Сильно сомневаюсь, что сначала делали внешнюю отделку, а потом только взялись за внутреннюю. Скорее всего делали параллельно, после того, как крышу покрыли.

Поскольку мой дом самый большой и красивый на всей улице . И он не знал , что это мой дом . Да и работал я 9 лет на двух работах. Так что всё возможно , было бы желание .
@ДмиртийБ Возможно-то всё, но я занимался и загородным строительством, и отделкой квартир, поэтому смотрю на происходящее в подобных видео несколько с другой точки зрения, нежели люди, которые такого опыта не имеют. В этом видео очень хорошо заметно, что человек этим занимается не в свободное от работы время и на профессиональной основе. Кроме того - судя по тому, как и какие материалы он использует, как выполняет определённые элементы конструкций и т.д., лично у меня возникают большие сомнения, что он строит этот дом для себя. Для себя многие вещи строитель бы просто делал иначе... начиная с фундамента.

As a builder for the last 20+ years I loved everything about this build. From materials I’ve never seen before to techniques and tools to make the process easier. The one questionable area I had was on using osb for the roof decking, and deck? I know it’s cheeper than plywood but notorious for moisture abstention. It didn’t look like you spared any costs with this build though!

Вы забыли еще и ос. Однажды просыпаешься утром от того что тебя жахнули в голову, а это гребаные осы поселилист в утеплителе и вышли на облет над кроватью тебе на голову 😏 Там и вентканалы крыши зашиты на вид сеткой с достаточно большим сечением - тоже готовый дом для ос/пчел.
У меня нет слов. Шикарная работа, превосзодный результат. Человек с золотыми руками. Ради этого не жалко потраченного времени. Дай Бог ему и его семье здоровья, дом полную чашу. 👍👍👍

Посмотрел только начало. Думал -это какой то кукольный дом из пенопласта. Но по комментариям -это очень правильно и технологично. Интересна смета всего этого чуда. Ни один самый качественный подрядчик не будет конечно так заморачиваться. Все приклеивать, проклеивать, задувать пеной. В этом и разница-когда делаешь для себя. Золотые руки у него конечно. Все так продумать и расчитать😮

My husband also believed in building the best you could. In this country there are many things you can’t do, electrics, roofing plumbing. So every tradesman came and saw what he had done, said over engineered but better. I know this home will be there for the grandchildren’s grandchildren. That’s how he wanted it.
The states does have stuff like this. It is just way too expensive and time consuming for anyone to actually use. Radiant heated floors are a common building practice in luxury builds.

Есть тонкий ньюанс в этом проекте - получился теплый дом фундамент для мышей.... и ещё 1 момент.... --- Точный срок службы клей-пены для кладки пено-газоблоков сложно определить из-за относительно недавнего использования этого материала. Производители объявляют долговечность пены 15-30 лет. Однако есть и другие мнения: некоторые пользователи считают, что срок службы полиуретановой пены - 10-15 лет. Важно учитывать, что использование клей-пены рекомендовано только при кладке ненесущих (внутренних перегородок) и самонесущих стен в каркасно-монолитном строительстве. Её применение при кладке несущих стен официально не подтверждено.
Строит профессинал 100%. Навыки, отсутствие лишних движений. Но: наверное строит для продажи. Красиво круто смотрится для рекламы и перепродажи, через какое время развалится его мало волнует.
@WladimirGalkinэто работает,когда идет одна труба в стене. А когда под полом уложены трубы с расстоянием 10-15 см друг от друга,то это не работает и придется только отключать и заново собирать систему отопления. Ну,или поднимать полы..😅
@СотрясающийВоздухкажется пару лет назад была инфа,что один завод в РФ выгнал брака этих труб порядка 200000 км,а потом обанкротился.😅 Мне предлагали сделать водяное отопление в полах заместо батарей,но я решился только в гостиной,причем и батареи повесил.Если что,отключу полы и без проблем..
@user-mz9it4op8rГосподи, чудесатые вы люди. Отключаем полы, ждём когда остынут. Включаем полы. Берём тепловизор и всё видим. Потом берём влагомер, они сейчас тоже поля показывают и видим где протечка. Дальше, откладываем в сторону умные приборы и берём перфоратор, работаем аккуратно, а то действительно придётся по новой всё прокладывать.

You only need a foundation if you're going to put a boiler in a water heater. But if you look at all those wires that he put on the ground it's for water and heat. The heat is going to come up through the floor. And then the other pipes is where the water and electricity will run through so he doesn't need a foundation

Судя по окружающей природе он строил дом два года. У мужика есть деньги, есть время, есть знания и умение как всё это делать, и есть желание всем этим заниматься. Теперь развитие событий рекламу сделал, организует ( если уже не организовал) строительную фирму и будет строить дома. Многие захотят жить в таком доме.

Im the 60s, my dad built with his 3 brothers a 4-story condo of 8 apartments.
It took them 18 months, and they hired just an engineer for the structural design and an architedt for the submissions of building permits.
They basically did all construction works by themsleves.
The idea was that each brother had his own apartment, plus an extra apartment available for renting.
The building is still there, it has been renovated few years ago and is full of families living.
Pity there was no YT in the 60s.😅

my father got his degree into hydraulic and plumbing instead, so that's also why they could deal with many aspects "in house".

@nigelbase1196 Oh brother. Maybe in Sweden. Where I live, in British Columbia, Canada, construction is rife with more criminality and shady practices than any other major industry. I'm not sure why this is, but probably because home construction presents so many opportunities to conceal bad work--at least until the perpetrators are long gone. I'd say that about 20% of the people working in construction cut corners and then hide their crimes behind drywall or bury them underneath concrete. This is followed by padding their invoices. Oh, and as an added bonus, the theft of whatever they can lay their hands on while at the job site.
I've known so many renovations and jobs that have ended in lawsuits. So how do they get away with it? There's such a shortage of construction workers here that desperate homeowners hire contractors without any real recommendations or proof of competence at all, just to get the job done. Then there's the delightful practice of folding the company hired to do the job as soon as any legal trouble arises. Suddenly, the entity whom you contracted to do the job doesn't exist anymore. There's no one to sue!
I don't know how it is elsewhere in North America, but if you want everything "done right," you'd better hire someone you know, or take the time yourself, to monitor the build from start to finish.

Ты же понимаешь, что он не себе дом строил? Это обычные наёмные рабочие, которые строили дом какому-то богатому человеку. И внутренней отделкой скорее всего просто занималась бригада. Сильно сомневаюсь, что сначала делали внешнюю отделку, а потом только взялись за внутреннюю. Скорее всего делали параллельно, после того, как крышу покрыли.

Поскольку мой дом самый большой и красивый на всей улице . И он не знал , что это мой дом . Да и работал я 9 лет на двух работах. Так что всё возможно , было бы желание .
@ДмиртийБ Возможно-то всё, но я занимался и загородным строительством, и отделкой квартир, поэтому смотрю на происходящее в подобных видео несколько с другой точки зрения, нежели люди, которые такого опыта не имеют. В этом видео очень хорошо заметно, что человек этим занимается не в свободное от работы время и на профессиональной основе.
Кроме того - судя по тому, как и какие материалы он использует, как выполняет определённые элементы конструкций и т.д., лично у меня возникают большие сомнения, что он строит этот дом для себя.
Для себя многие вещи строитель бы просто делал иначе... начиная с фундамента.

As a builder for the last 20+ years I loved everything about this build. From materials I’ve never seen before to techniques and tools to make the process easier.
The one questionable area I had was on using osb for the roof decking, and deck? I know it’s cheeper than plywood but notorious for moisture abstention. It didn’t look like you spared any costs with this build though!

Посмотрел только начало. Думал -это какой то кукольный дом из пенопласта. Но по комментариям -это очень правильно и технологично. Интересна смета всего этого чуда.
Ни один самый качественный подрядчик не будет конечно так заморачиваться. Все приклеивать, проклеивать, задувать пеной. В этом и разница-когда делаешь для себя. Золотые руки у него конечно.

опытный застройщик конечно столько ошибок не сделает, но для сельской местности норм

Сомневаюсь что правильно. А потом мы смотрим видео на ютубе, как ураган уносит дом, или кто-то кулаком пробил стену.

My husband also believed in building the best you could. In this country there are many things you can’t do, electrics, roofing plumbing. So every tradesman came and saw what he had done, said over engineered but better. I know this home will be there for the grandchildren’s grandchildren. That’s how he wanted it.

The states does have stuff like this. It is just way too expensive and time consuming for anyone to actually use. Radiant heated floors are a common building practice in luxury builds.

Есть тонкий ньюанс в этом проекте - получился теплый дом фундамент для мышей.... и ещё 1 момент.... --- Точный срок службы клей-пены для кладки пено-газоблоков сложно определить из-за относительно недавнего использования этого материала. Производители объявляют долговечность пены 15-30 лет. Однако есть и другие мнения: некоторые пользователи считают, что срок службы полиуретановой пены - 10-15 лет.
Важно учитывать, что использование клей-пены рекомендовано только при кладке ненесущих (внутренних перегородок) и самонесущих стен в каркасно-монолитном строительстве. Её применение при кладке несущих стен официально не подтверждено.
Строит профессинал 100%. Навыки, отсутствие лишних движений. Но: наверное строит для продажи. Красиво круто смотрится для рекламы и перепродажи, через какое время развалится его мало волнует.

Были случаи,когда лопалась такая труба. Приходилось отключать воду, потому что практически невозможно найти прорыв.
И ещё он трубы под арматуру спрятал??😂 это пипец. Обычно их сверху укладывают.
Вы отстали от времени. Всё прекрасно находится. Тепловизор и влгомер вам в помощь.
@WladimirGalkinэто работает,когда идет одна труба в стене. А когда под полом уложены трубы с расстоянием 10-15 см друг от друга,то это не работает и придется только отключать и заново собирать систему отопления. Ну,или поднимать полы..😅
@СотрясающийВоздухкажется пару лет назад была инфа,что один завод в РФ выгнал брака этих труб порядка 200000 км,а потом обанкротился.😅 Мне предлагали сделать водяное отопление в полах заместо батарей,но я решился только в гостиной,причем и батареи повесил.Если что,отключу полы и без проблем..
@user-mz9it4op8rГосподи, чудесатые вы люди. Отключаем полы, ждём когда остынут. Включаем полы. Берём тепловизор и всё видим. Потом берём влагомер, они сейчас тоже поля показывают и видим где протечка. Дальше, откладываем в сторону умные приборы и берём перфоратор, работаем аккуратно, а то действительно придётся по новой всё прокладывать.

You only need a foundation if you're going to put a boiler in a water heater. But if you look at all those wires that he put on the ground it's for water and heat. The heat is going to come up through the floor. And then the other pipes is where the water and electricity will run through so he doesn't need a foundation

Судя по окружающей природе он строил дом два года. У мужика есть деньги, есть время, есть знания и умение как всё это делать, и есть желание всем этим заниматься. Теперь развитие событий рекламу сделал, организует ( если уже не организовал) строительную фирму и будет строить дома. Многие захотят жить в таком доме.
