The Royal Funeral for Great Supreme Patriarch Tep Vong

Great Supreme Patriarch Tep Vong was born on January 12, 1932. He passed away on February 26, 2024, at the age of 92 at Wat Ounalom.
Great Supreme Patriarch Tep Vong was the youngest of seven senior monks re-ordained under Vietnamese supervision in 1979 to provide a core leadership group for the re-establishment of the Cambodian Sangha.
The organization of the royal funeral for Great Supreme Patriarch Tep Vong is divided into two main stages.
The first stage was the 7th-day memorial service, which saw Cambodia's top leaders and other high-profile guests paying their final respects to the chief monk.
The second stage involves keeping the body until the 100th day for Buddhist followers and other Cambodians to bid their final goodbyes.
The grand funeral ceremony will include a five-kilometer funeral procession before the cremation.
