    I actually enjoyed this short. It was like sitting with a friend over coffee just catching up over sundry things. Great idea re: the magazine mood board/binder!

      Thank you kind Nikon camera owner! That’s exactly what I’d hope things would feel like haha! I’m enjoying the magazine binder so far for sure, now just to do something productive with it haha!

    The photobook idea is sick its kinda how like ppl make time capsules then open them decades later

      @willysheepskin  5 месяцев назад +1

      Exactly! It’s my favorite aspect of it, makes me want to shoot something like it just to wait a long while to put it out haha!

    love that analog way of archiving your references!! so much more fulfilling than just images saved in a folder… i archived my book references and exhibitions on an ig act but this makes me wanna try printing them!

    I employ you to shoot another roll through the Rollei, just stop down a bit or use a rangefinder. It’s well worth it, but then again to each their own

      I reckon I'll end up giving it another go once I've cleaned it up, the lenses really are meant to be quite nice if I can get the focusing bit figured out haha!

    Just have to say....your mom is clearly fricking awesome 😎🤪🤪 ....also, the photobook is absolutely brilliant. I'd love to see a slow stroll through every picture. I think it's one of those books that will divulge something new every time one pages through it. What an amazing legacy 🎉🎉❤

      I concur wholeheartedly! I’ll keep the slow stroll in mind, but keen to get folks to pick up a copy for themselves!

    Thanks Will. Including that book was a great idea. I found that a really interesting theme. It’s always nice when people gift you gear, but sometimes it leads to a collection you didn’t intend 😅. I understand that one all too well. Cheers 🍻

    I have a Rollei 35 like the one you just picked up. Mine was a gift from my grandfather. I really like it for how small and portable it is, if I want a camera besides my phone but don't want to carry around a whole camera bag. It also makes me think more deliberately about my shot, since everything is manual, even the focus as you noticed! Even though I'm not too good at spot focusing either.

    i enjoyed seeing the random photography bits and really loved the magazine folder idea! i was just sat here flicking thru some i'd gathered in the last year (one of my fave magazine shops is called soda books in Munich, i know you cant get the books, but just seeing what they stock and checking out the insta pages you can often get sneak peaks)
    * Holiday magazine *safelight paper are two of my current faves. am excited about the flash, i imagined that it would look great photographing the flowers at night, not sure if the bee's come out at bedtime tho lol

      It really is pretty cool hey! Reckon I’ll hang on to it haha, it has a key and all! A great mom indeed 🥳! Storm patrol will definitely be a thing, just need to wait for a rain storm instead of a wind storm cus the windy ones will just blow me over haha, best wishes to you in return!

    Scoring some new gear is always fun. My gear buying has slowed way down as it has dawned on me that I have way too much stuff. On a recent rip I only took 2 cameras and 3 lenses. I had way more fun because I didn't have to go through all that stuff to find the perfect piece of gear. My next trip I'm thinking of only bringing 2 of my film cameras, no digital. When it comes to the gear I do have my only real fear is that someday my wife my sell it for what I told her I paid for it

      @willysheepskin  5 месяцев назад

      That is indeed the best way to look at it Bob! I really only seem to use my RB67 these days since it does all I need and I have a lovely selection of lenses for it. Ahaha selling it for the theoretical price would be a great tragedy I'm sure!

    please make a video on the fe !

  • @lupindeweir

    If you practice a bit holding the FE at right angles to the ground or the horizon (and away from your face) you can take some cool street photos at a child's eye level. Nostalgic view for you and connecting with young people on their level as humans rather than mild annoyances is strangely calming. -a random mike

      @@willysheepskin You are welcome! In my part of the world parents get huffy about anyone paying too much attention to their kids so not making a production out of photographing them is helpful but kids are people too so photograph away!
