      I'm glad someone sees the power draw difference. For 90% of people, if you have the money to buy a $800+ GPU then you probably wont care about $5-10 a month more on your electric bill. I'm in that 10% not only for saving that extra money but because my room cant handle anything else lol. I have 2 PC setups in a single room with a stand up AC unit. 1000w on the AC + 1000w on 2 gaming PCs my room is going to explode, I'm going to have to run a dedicated outlet for my AC unit before summer time hits.
      4080 and 4090 both GPUs get 100+ FPS on some 4k games. why does it matter if you get 100 vs 150. They both feel incredibly smooth and you most likely only have a 120hz 4k TV, those higher frames don't even matter.

    The 4090 might be a 4K high-end card for four or five years. Game devs are still going to have to cater to the lowest common denominator when developing games. People who got an XSX and PS5 (2070 Super level of graphical power) are probably not going to be in the market for a new console anytime soon. Same with those with a n RTX 3070 and up, as most will probably not upgrade soon either.

      @protontech9662 Год назад +9

      The 1060/1660/1650 are still super relevant for game developers. They are major- they set standards. I can tell you that a 1660 can run any game very well at 1080p. And 1080p is a dominant gaming resolution. So by doing some math, you can easily tell that lower-demanding and better optimized games can target much larger audience=more money. The PS5 will after a few years, like let's say in 2025, hold the High-End PCs back. But that is only good for us.

    • @RicochetForce
      @RicochetForce Год назад +7

      Correct. Let's look at the two baselines devs are keeping in mind:
      The 10 series, such as 1060. The 1060 used to be the most common GPU on the biggest PC gaming platform until the 1650 unseated it.
      The 2070-tier of GPU performance is where the current gen consoles are sitting.
      Developers are going to keep their games playable on these machines at 1080p.
      Console manufacturers have signaled that this current generation will last until 2027.
      Considering that the 4090 has nothing remotely close to it this generation and it completely dwarfs both the PC and console baselines it's likely going to ride out these remaining 4-5 years with ease. This is also going to be a long generation so these performance standards will not be rising for quite some time.

      They won't increase the VRAM - 16GB is plenty, that isn't the issue. It's the decrease in bus size - which means less bandwith giving less room for data transfer on the memory. If they give it say the same size bus as the 4090 at 356 opposed to 256 - the performance increase will be substantial. People get caught up on the vram thinking that's the primary concern for stuttering and all that - 16 gb is PLENTY for 4k. It's the smaller bus size that limits performance. It's the primary reason I returned my Tuf 4080 I got brand new msrp for $1000 at microcenter and bought the Suprim X 4090. Would have bought a base model tuf if they had it. Originally bought the gaming trio 4090 - it was actually a better bin then my suprim and the core clock was mighty impressive on the OC side. It just didn't sit right with me if i'm paying almost two grand for a card I don't want any plastic on the cooler. And it didn't have a vapor chamber. It was just a direct contact copper plate - didn't really hurt thermal performance - but I was looking into premium and longevity. Surprising to me the gaming trio had the best memory chip cooler out of all the 4090's i've tested - more and more I feel like I made a mistake and should have kept that card. Though my suprim is a bit more efficient with a better memory bin and a bit quieter. Less coil whine.

      @@teemuvesala9575 not wrong. You know nothing about hardware. I have owned all of this hardware and have vast knowledge on these things. You clearly just don’t know how hardware works and your smooth brain can only focus on primary specifications thinking those are the only reasons. I said nothing about the 4080 being bottlenecked by the 256 bit bus. But it does limit bandwith and if it had a bigger bus = more bandwith = more performance. There’s a reason they limited bandwith. Look at the 4070ti. There’s a reason it stutters in 4k, and that’s the 192 bit bus. Not the 12gb of vram. The 3080 never stuttered like that, and that’s because of the significantly bigger bus. Use your fucking noggin. And don’t argue about hardware you’ve never owned or can’t afford. You’re failing to realize my point was they don’t need to increase the vram to upgrade the 4080 to a 4080ti, it just needs a bigger bus - and obviously they will add more shaders and RT cores. And reading your entire comment and having owned the Tuf 4070ti myself - where in your right mind do you think the 4070ti small bus doesn’t cause the stuttering ? Because it’s DEFINITELY not the vram. I have ran lengthy tests of the 4070ti and 3080ti side by side in 4k in games like hogwarts legacy - both 12gb - one stutters - the other doesn’t. I wonder why? Fairly new to looking at GPU performances, could someone explain how the "ms" affects the performance? Only seen "ms" when you play in Multiplayer/online.

    • @dddeiv
      @dddeiv Год назад +2

      These are milliseconds. The ones that are in the video is the "frame time". To display 60 FPS it should be 16.6ms or less (1s/60). Less frame time means more FPS. For example, to show you 200 FPS your GPU/CPU should render a frame every 5ms.

    • @GGBGameplays
      @GGBGameplays Год назад +1

      Less "ms" variation means you'll feel a smoother gameplay, with no or almost no stutterings.

    • @Cameron_7127
      @Cameron_7127 Год назад +2

      The ms you’re seeing in multiplayer games is the network latency, the ms in this video is referring to frame times which it’s how long it takes the computer to render a single frame.

    • @RicochetForce
      @RicochetForce Год назад +6

      An easy way of visualizing it is this:
      Two people are holding a piece of paper with a picture on it. They're told to run to a whiteboard 100 feet away and stick it to the board and come back.
      Person A runs with a steady pace to their steps all the way there and back.
      Person B runs with an erratic pace, sometimes walking, sometimes sprinting, sometimes crawling.
      Both come back to you at the exact same time. Which one was smoother? That is what the millisecond time is measuring, how consistently are new frames being delivered to the monitor. This is why "60fps" can look rough and choppy or liquid smooth and flawless. Frametime matters more than general FPS. The lower and more consistent the frametime, the smoother the gameplay.

    • @Real_MisterSir
      @Real_MisterSir Год назад +1

      Basically the "ms" here indicates internal latency, aka how long it takes for the system to visually respond to an action you make - like moving your mouse or pressing a key on your keyboard. If you have high internal latency, then your screen will display the corresponding frames later than when you pressed the key relative to how high your internal latency is.
      In multiplayer games, the "ms" is your network latency, meaning how long does it take for what happens on your screen, to be transmitted to the game server itself and trigger a validated response - meaning what you see on your screen may not be what the actual game server registers. In online shooters for example, high network latency can make it so that on your screen, you are shooting a person out in the open, but on the game server itself, that person already jumped behind cover and thus didn't get hit. Your internet network latency just didn't forward your input to the game server fast enough for it to register your hit on the enemy player in time.
      If we take the same example as above, but use internal latency instead of network latency, you would click on the person to shoot them, but the shot doesn't come through on your screen until the guy jumped behind cover so it looks like you missed.
      TLDR;
      Internal latency "ms" makes your game feel more sluggish the higher the latency number is.
      Network latency "ms" makes your actions delayed on the game server, even if everything looks and feels good on your end.

In actual render applications with truly advanced graphic settings, a single frame can takes hours to render even with a 4090. Real time rendering in videogames have barely scratched the 1% of what true graphic complexity looks like. The more powerful gpus get, the more of the graphic potential will be able to unlock, thus we will never surpass 4k 100fps for high-demand games. We will just see more and more advanced graphic features introduced in each new generation of videogames - pretty much forever until we can accurately simulate real life.
