    Finally, a tutorial that first explains the "Why" and then the "How". Great teacher!

    I finally understand how to use Azure Git from VS. I'm a Project Manager of several Angular web apps and my Senior Software Engr recommends migrating our TFVC solutions to Azure Git. And I find this video very helpful as I explain the process to our non-techie Customer. Thank you so much for this video... makes my PM life better now ;)

      Thank you Sherly! Unfortunately, I don't know of documentation but I'm sure there are videos on RUclips where these concepts are discussed outside the realm of Visual Studio.

    Hi,
    I have a scenario and may be you can help!
    Due to compliance issues, I am not allowed to save our source code in any Geo location supported by Azure Devops Services. so under repo when we create a repo, by default its created somewhere in Geo location, ideally where azure devops service is hosted.But this approach is NOT-OK for us.
    And I want to use our own server "hosted in MS-azure" as repo server.so whenever, we create a repo using create repo under the project repositories this should be stored in that particular server.. please advise how can i achieve this?
    our own server is having Visual studio 2019 and connected to azure devops also.

    • @Matlus
      @Matlus  4 года назад

      You can always set up a VPN such that your azure resources are only available from within your network and only by authorized users. You can have your own domains pointing to these machines etc. This is how most enterprises use Azure and other Clouds. I mean there are large company spending $50 million each year on the Cloud, including governments (the US Department of Defense as well). So I can't imagine why hosting your code in the cloud is NOT-OK?

    Shiv, Can you please do an in depth video on Web API?

    • @Matlus
      @Matlus  5 лет назад +1

      I have one on WebAPI, have you seen it? Also when you say, in depth? What exactly would you want answered? I do plan on doing one on API Design and Method Design. Both independent of WebAPI but do pertain to WebAPI nonetheless.

    • @VinuP2023
      @VinuP2023 5 лет назад

      @@Matlus Yes, I saw you have a video on Web api. I want to learn Web api, and I thought you are the perefect person who can teach so perfect and yet keeping real time. Since that is a bit old video, will it apply in ASP.net Core Web API scenario?

    • @Matlus
      @Matlus  5 лет назад +1

      @@VinuP2023 That video still applies, since not much has changed in WebAPI per se from the perspective of the Controllers onward. What has changed in the ASP.NET Pipeline between .NET Framework and .NET Core. What's important is Exception handling which I covered recently using .NET Core Middleware. And of course API Design and method design (up coming video)
