The Pro controller got a revision in mid 2018, the D-pad was enhanced. I got a Day-1 Pro-C that gets confused between left and up on the D-pad, I NEVER use it on T99, it would get me in horrible situations.

Very similar play style as me, I'm several steps slower though. What you said about laying blocks flat was sort of my philosophy playing Tetris growing up. Except it's leaving one notch is good to lay the T, Z, and S, one to two notches for the J and L, and three high for the I piece.
That's actually a defect with a lot of pro controllers that can be significantly reduced or even eliminated with a DIY fix. You can find guides on RUclips, and all you need is a phillips screwdriver and everyday scotch tape. I finally sat down to do the fix and now I can use my pro controller in this game with practically no misfires.
Galiaverse why even use the pro controller if you have joycons? The joycons can be held in both hands making it easier and the directional buttons are spaced apart so there’s virtually no chance of misdropping.
@@logan3917 Matter of preference. I was using the Joycons for a while. For me the Pro Controller feels better to grip and I prefer a regular D-Pad to buttons for directional input. Ultimately I feel more in control of where pieces go and how fast they get there.
