I have always said and always will say this channel has to be a must-watch. A lot of explanation in education with a little humor thrown in. I was a guard in the United States for years although I didn't guard a palace or an armory they were dangerous and controversial sites. I have the utmost respect for these troopers and guards. And my hat goes off to John for doing a great job.
He's definitely earned their respect in return, they even let him in the barn which was AMAZING to see! John's truly the best in London imo ❤✌️🇺🇲

Buska is an angry man and acting like a bully. Please stay safe John! He worries me. Birds of a feather it seems, as he's telling you to leave him and Abdullah alone! Have they joined up to see how to make the most amount of money on questionable videos? Does he think that they are so important so as to be on your mind at all times? You moved on after the Buska incident, and yet he is still seeking you out to cause an issue. For someone that was so angry for being called out, and tried denying everything, despite the evidence being overwhelming, you'd think he would want to leave it there and fade into the background. It's not the first time we've heard Buska being abusive on RUclips. Usually he vents his temper on some tourist who has annoyed him. You handled the situation with total aplomb John, he is no match for you in terms of vocabulary or intelligence.

He’s only mad is because he’s been caught. He only has himself to blame for his actions and behavior. He needs time away to think about his actions and realize he put troopers who were off duty in danger and possibly the lost child
I am really surprised at Buska. I had always thought of him as your friend. I will say that I have noticed s tendency to aggressive behaviour with him, but I never expected it to turn against you. I don't know if he has financial problems, but if he is it would be better to confide in you rather than threaten. I find this whole situation sad.

yes the real wronged person was the female trooper who got alot of trolling on the Daily Mail saying nasty things such as she is not fit to be a soilder saying really horrid things Buska just seems unable to think of the consequences of his actions and even after all the flack he recieved he sent another video to the Daily Mail of a lady fainting after been bitten seems he will not learn from his mistakes.

Apologies, but I’m not surprised. Misspelled titles is a dead giveaway - it’s not just isolated to trolls. Shady channels operates much in the same way. And if the comments section looks like toxic waste - scroll on.
Luckily I found London City Walks! A channel that values integrity, that remains both informative and entertaining. No need for filters, soundeffects and heavy handed edits. Quality over quantity - in my humble opinion.

I don’t watch his channel. He’s illiterate, can’t spell and that makes me grind my teeth, and he’s always calling people names in the titles. He reports only negative things. Whereas you encourage civility, you’re literate and well read, you can spell, you appreciate history, you give us educational narrations and show your enthusiasm for these guards and horses. You’re a gentleman, you subtly try to discourage tourist misbehavior. I’ve seen you defend a young lady who got slapped in the face, which meant a lot. And you make every effort to report impartially. That’s why you’re the only one here I’ve subscribed to. :)

Oh, I was just about to go to bed when I noticed this had just landed in Australia..... and saw the heading. Why am I not surprised that he confronted you - his past behaviour in some of his own videos show that he has little self control. John, did you not recognise that the man with the tandem bike is the carer for the young, intellectually disabled man who featured in the video with our favourite, now retired, guard (PE) - the one where our lovely PE moved closer to the young man for the photograph and the carer was delighted and thankful, having previously carefully instructed his young fellow to not touch him and stand clear of the guard?
I knew I'd seen him before somewhere!! I was surprised when the young boy fist bumped me, but knew they looked familiar. Thank you!! 👊🏻❤️❤️

Buska and Abdullah brought this on themselves. How telling that he said to leave him AND Abdullah alone. You should show that to someone at the Guards and the MOD police. He directly threatened you. He needs to be banned from the yard. You should also report him to RUclips. Completely unacceptable behavior. You handled it beautifully, by the way.

@@memorex202 I respectfully agree to disagree on this one. I have seen John defend Buska in the past. When someone says to you to keep it up and “see what happens,” it is reasonable to interpret that as a threat. I also think that Buska selling videos to the media when he had been asked not to publish the footage was a betrayal. John has stepped in to help Buska keep a cool head and appears genuinely disappointed to lose relationships that he felt were solid.
@@julieangell9566 And I've seen Buska doing good things, including defending the guards and the public from crazy people. It takes courage to do that. And John does that same thing, which takes courage too. So both deserve some grace even if they're not perfect.

I think Buska’s temper has been displayed publicly at HG which is not a good look for all of them who are trying to film.It’s not a good look in front of tourists. John may not be the longest-running videographer at HG, but he certainly shows a level head and I have heard him providing good counsel to others in terms of not being goaded into responses. I maintain that what he said to John in a very public setting on private MOD property was not appropriate and was threatening in nature.
Furthermore, this was not the first time this has happened and will not be the last. That's why his repeated ignoring of all the rules should be reported to RUclips. Perhaps he learns better by consequences than by good words.

Buska certainly seems to have a short fuse. His language is totally inappropriate that plus his selling pictures of the lady trooper were the final straw. I unsubscribed his channel and will never watch him again.

Where is the evidence that he sold the footage? I don't see how it can be proven one way or the other- Similar to how John had to defend himself that he did not sell his footage of a trooper being thrown off a horse on the same day of the notorious bolting incident in late April.

Hello John from Australia 25/7/2024 - Buska seems to have lost the plot completely, I unsubscribed from him when he sold the Kings Guard video. You are the only one I subscribe to now so keep up the good work.

Seems like a nerve or two has been touched with a certain person. It looks like he’s not too keen on his feelings being hurt on RUclips but is more than happy to disregard the feeling of others to make himself a bob or two.
Did he give a second thought to the gunner he exploited or her request that he take that personal moment down? He was more than happy to call the Japanese lady a “silly cow” cos she showed respect to the guard by bowing which is normal in their culture. His foul mouthed aggression was frequently on display but what did he expect to achieve by butting into your video? It just made him look like a petulant child and it would no more than he deserves if he’s part of the cull once the new rules come into play
Karma will always bite you in the nether regions sooner or later - he only has himself to blame if retribution is coming sooner than he expected. Maybe a course on empathy and anger management might be called for if his time isn’t taken up by videoing at Horse Guards.

I agree about the anger management - for as long as I've been watching he's always been a bit of a hothead - and it's getting worse. Stopped following him a few weeks ago and I don't miss it at all

I'm absolutely stunned to have heard Buska be so aggressive towards you, and in such a shocking way! He did something wrong, and should have learnt his lesson and apologised to all those concerned, and who have been waiting to hear him admit his 'failure' to respect the soldiers and the ranks. However, he obviously saw a chance to make money in a way which should never have been done. GREED has taken hold, and he's making a lot of cash in, what to him, is an easy way. Sadly it proves that he's lacking in morals, and his threatening behaviour towards you, and dragging the name of another You Tuber into his mouth, is going to cause great upset tor that other YTuber.
I've noticed that Buska has increasingly over the past few weeks, has allowed both his anger and self importance to take hold and cause a great amount of upset to the public around him. I fear that the only option is for the Department, who have allowed him to film on and around their land. to now ban him from entering Horse Guards, and surrounding property, as his aggression and his disrespect has got out of hand. It's time for him to go.
John I think h-cav should employ you or recruit you as an official kings guard RUclips channel as you pay them the respect they deserve and they know you won’t do them dirty. Maybe it doesn’t work that way but I think it would be a great idea so you will be the only one allowed to film there xx

We will not accept that, do not even bother suggesting that. The Household Cavalry Regiment employs its own soldiers to make media to use on its social media pages, they don’t outsource to civilians who stream at KLG for their day job.

I haven't got to the horrible part yet. The young people are so excited having their pictures taken with the horse and the Guard. It's lovely to see their happiness. Some of the crowd could have been anticipating this trip for years.

I haven't been watching the Kings Guard videos very long. I watch it mostly to see the horses. Lately it seems like a lot of drama is brewing among the different YTers who film here. I must say it kind of ruins it a bit. Let's just stay focused on mocking the tourists and not each other. John, my two scents... if you are approached and attacked as you were here, definitely defend yourself, and please keep defending the right for respect that these soldiers deserve. Beyond that, please don't give in to the pettiness. Just stay focused on your own interesting work and material and STAY THE BIGGER MAN. Your work speaks for itself. I enjoy watching your channel and listening to you talk to the tourists, and of course, seeing the horses and guards.

After that little outburst, I'll be saying goodbye to him also. I don't like petty crap. Maybe he needs to realize that his words and his attitude reflect him, and not the people he targets.

LOL My comments in ?Valerian's entry on my list includes "Upper solid blaze shaped like flying angel with fuzzy edges" and similar wording to how it trails down to nose band..... along with my roughly drawn sketch of the markings on the horse head outline I have for each horse.
I've been watching these videos for over a year and Buska has always been on a short fuse. That coupled with his ignorance can be dangerous.

Thank you for being so informative. Knowing who the horses are, their personalities and just general knowledge questions that we have. Is wires intriguing to us in the US. I'd rather have horses in DC than the asses that occupy it now. These horses are so patient. I wonder sometimes if Lifeguards have to go a few rounds with a punching bag after some of their shifts and dealing with people who just can't be a decent human being. Bless their souls, house and guard.
Buska needs to take a step back and sort himself out. I went off Buska maybe a month ago when you were talking to Peter E, you were being respectful to him and his partner only filming them after asking, Buska was filming you and them the whole time, so disrespectful.

I wonder if the CNN guy was there because of what happened to the soldier in Kent today and if that’s why the horses were taken off? Crazy business that was, I wonder if security will tighten at Horse Guards? I hope so, I worry about that sometimes, we’re living in strange and unpredictable times now, and with throngs of people constantly moving through the area, well, things could happen at any moment. Idk, you can’t live in fear but it does bear considering how vulnerable we all are. I’m praying for a speedy recovery of the soldier and the safety of everyone serving. Horses were beautiful as always!😻🐴❤️
