I remember first learning about Algeria in history class. We watched the Battle of Algiers.
I’m not sure what was more influential to Liberation Movements around the world; either the actual events of Algeria’s independence or the Movie.
I also didn’t learn this until later on, the Battle of Algiers featured actual veterans of the war and wasn’t premiered in France until at least a decade
