Mablethorpe girl here, born and bred, and quite a few generations before me too, and a number of them after me as well! Still have plenty of family there as well, even if we are all distant and strangers now. Thank you so much for this, was lovely to see some old classics still there and running!

The 60s were the days I spent summer with mom dad and my brother the place looks rather empty now but the sea drains are still there long days of crab fishing wonderful and the evenings Jackdons arcade the place is still magic for me so many memories😢 thank you .

Used to visit in 2013 14 15 when my late mother lived in Ruskington near Sleaford she always enjoyed her visit as did I, we had Fish and Chips outside and ice cream we used to the beach with car park behind and a cafe and disabled toilet.
Beach was superb Mum even paddled and we went on beach train.

As a London used to Clacton Walton etc I always found the people warm friendly and as Mum had parkinsons and not to steady on her feet, they were always helpful and kind to help..

Spent many a holiday at Mablethorpe in the 80`s as a kid, usually at the end of the season (probably around October). One holiday (must have been the last night of the amusements being open) Where Jacksons amusements is now, the owner scraped all the coins from the edges of all the coin drop machines and kindly gave them to me and my sister. We didn`t have mush money back then so this was like winning the lottery to us kids. Thanks to the owner, whoever you were at the time, a very kind gesture indeed.

Thanks for that video,will be going to Mablethorpe next month for a week,staying at the Aura Guest House,cant wait,travelling from Scotland,ive been to Bridlington twice,so we thought we would travel further and discovered this place online,and watching videos,the beach always does it for me,we will also visit Lincoln when we are there
Wow!!! I had no idea a olace like this even existed!! It looks cozy, friendly, all kinds of foods and entertainment. You are surrounded by funn stuff right at the beach and then if you decide to leave it, there is more fun stuff up the road. I would have a blast there as a kid...actually at any age 😅

Maplethorpe for mature visitors. You're not wrong there. On the short walk ( 7 minutes) to the beach I counted 10 mobility scooters. Nice beach even though it's only half as wide as the beach where I used to spend my holidays: white beaches as far you could see: 5 miles to the south and even farther to the north. Just fabulous. Those two springer spaniels will sleep like logs once they come home.

Looks like an unpretentious, pleasant and popular seaside resort ⛵. Wonderful large beach 🏖️ and big skies. I just love the sea and this reminds me of our childhood holidays to places like Borth in North Wales. My dear mum would have loved the gnomes. Mellow music 🎶 and a great video. 👍 Oh and awful driving 🤷

Mablethorpe is nice. Better in Winter than Bridlington in September. That dies when kids go back to school. Tried it once & will never go again!! Getting a coffee was dreadful, food almost non existant & gift shops closed!

Gerados is one of very best Italian restaurants ANYWHERE. WE come over from Nottingham to stay at The Victoria Hotel just down Victoria road so we can have a day out in Maybo and get into Gerardos .The place is epic, love it.
Will have to try Gerados!

In Mablethorpe I do know there’s a beach 🏖 there and I can’t lie the sand it is alright but Skegness beach is so much nice and better but I think that’s bc it’s got something in Skegness beach that makes it different for me . But not going lie Mablethorpe is a good nice place to stay or live in for bit I guess I would say bc one of my family members do live in Mablethorpe so Yh but Mablethorpe can take you back in to Skegness I do know that and if you wanted Skegness takes you there and back to Mablethorpe

I'd say 50% of the people there at any one time are flying along on a mobility chariot, puffing away on a fag.
I love Mabo, it's much better than chavvy Skeg, I'm just being honest.
I prefer Monty's chips far better than salts chips 🤔
