Kali audio LP-UNF is a compact speakers set up with great sound quality, crazy 3d image and decent bass for how small they are. I really love listening and working on these monitors! Comment what you think down below and ill respond. - Хобби
finally someone reviewed, excited to watch!
been expecting to see just a lil bit of sound showcase
sorry bro ill imclude that in the next vid for sure!
@@ju1ceaudio thank you!🙏🏻
subbed and rang the bell to not miss it lol, checked out your other vids, quality is top notch! keep it up!
@@anybody4802 Thanks bro that means a lot to me! I just uploaded the video.
Your observations closely match Erin's measurement charts and impressions👌 Wild little monitor for that price..
Yeah bro!
Just bought mine after watching this video, and likewise, you are right, they sound amazing, 3D image and the bass is so well defined, love them!
Nice bro congrats!
Man, glad to finally see someone do a review on these. Looking to depart with my G2 Rokit 5's, and something like this applies perfectly to my studio set up and overall jump in quality and tech. Thanks for your review!
Welcome Bro! Yeah man you will love them.
@@ju1ceaudio Yeah, I was considering their LP-6 V2 line of monitors, but these seem to take the best from those and re-direct them into this dope package of a set of monitors, and again, for my untreated space and its size, will be super clutch.
@@IamDJFTR yup you said it best bro.
@@ju1ceaudio I just saw im a promo video from Kali, they do sell a longer cable to connect the active speaker to the passive one. You have to email them to get it, but they do offer longer cables since you mentioned that being a con to this system.
@@IamDJFTR Oh I didn't know that
Waiting for this bro, excited to watch.
Oh, I thought your next post was about another subwoofer that may contend with JBL.
That’s coming soon! Still working on that one, it’s the Kali ws 6.2!
@@ju1ceaudio Thank you bro, I can't wait to order already. Just waiting for you on which of the two to buy.
@@helster_vonn Yeah bro the Kali ws 6.2 is much better than the jbl!
@@ju1ceaudio woah, cant wait for your review bro. Sad news though, my father was just diagnosed with cancer stage 4. I guess my complete set will have to wait.
Great, informative, relaxed review. How do they sound when not close to them? Thank you!
Thank you sir, not so close they sound pretty good too. But the closer the better.
Thanks.
welocme! thanks for watching
Thanks for the video!
I'm considering getting these to replace some very old m audio studiophile dx4s. Desk space is at a premium the m audios barely fit and the kalis are a little larger but I think I can cram them on there.
I am going to be using them with a presonos eris sub 8. Do you think this will work well?
Going to be using to listen to music at desk (kind of an audiophile here) as well as some light mixing.
Yeah that should work well!
Might get these for my digital cabinet piano, just stick them on top, won’t use stands as they are exactly ear height I would imagine, space isn’t a concern that much so I could get lp6 or in5 but these lp unf are basically the same as lp6 I believe. What would you suggest for my circumstances may I ask, great video btw.
Oh yeah these would be perfect for that becuase the also have rubber feet appreciate it!
Thanks man, you can get an 8ft cable from Kali. I couldn't get a clean cable setup with the default cable.
Nice bro ive been hearing that lately glad they offered that
Finally a detailed review for these! Do you think these are good for apartment situations where you can’t be too loud because of neighbors?
Oh yeah a 100% they have nice bass but its not enough that will travel far. Also at low volumes they sound great.
just have to turn down low or mix w lower frequencies turned down/ check bass in headphones. bass travels in all directions (omni). or ask to heR it in their space to define an agreeable level. not to anonymousplain lol
I'm looking for some decent all-purpose desktop speakers that I'll also be using to play guitar through and these seem like a perfect pair considering all the connectivity options.
Yeah they work great
Good review. What do you think about PreSonus Eris 3.5 3.5-inch Powered Studio Monitors - 2nd Generation compare to this one? Would love to hear your opinion on that.
I havent heard those yet, but will try to get my hands on them!
I know Erin's audio Corner who has incredibly detailed reviews said he hated them so much he refused to make a full video on them
Those are ass... Like really bad
Personally I really like the PreSonus. I had the previous gen 4.5, I currently have the 2nd gen 3.5 in a shop area setup, and I’m really wanting to try the 5.
I have the presonus eris and I'm planning on travelling with some speakers for work. I don't love them! They're a big scooped in the mids/low mids and pokey in the high mids.
thank you for the review. can you suggest a wall mount that would work for these?
Hmm they dont have wall mount holes for these. I Personally would not wall mount these.
@@ju1ceaudio Thank you
theres a longer interconnecting cable available if you ask them =]
I heard !
Do you think they are worth for using with a TV for movies and series and casual music listening?
Yeah they are worth it Forsure. With the tuning options you can make them fun sounding.
Great video! I just ordered these speakers and I've got a question about the USB connectivity. My PC does not have any USB-C ports, so would it be possible to connect these speakers with a USB-C to USB-A cable? And would this have any (negative) side-effects? Thanks!
Why not use your Android phone's power cable to do what you need it to do?
@@llee9928 I have an iPhone, but I do have multiple USB cables. What I was wondering, though, is if it's possible to connect these speakers to a USB-A port on a PC or if it's necessary to connect them to a USB-C port.
Luckily the manufacturer got back to me and they told me that it should work just fine, without any negative side-effects :)
@@yber15 I can't buy this model yet, the agent has not stocked it. By the way, most of the cables given by Android phones have USB2.0 data channels, and the quality of the cables is good.
@@llee9928 I've been using these speakers for a little over a week now. I use them in conjunction with the Sonarworks SoundID room correction software. I highly recommend these speakers, especially for the price! The only two things I'd recommend is buying some stands that at least somewhat isolate them from your desk since they seem to transfer quite a lot, as well as buying the longer interconnect cable if u want to cleanly route that cable. The cable that comes with it is just way too short and only long enough to perfectly reach the other speaker without much to spare. Cheers!
Yup same notes I had! Great speakers forsure
Did you hook your sub up to these? Do you think a sub would be worth adding in a small room?
I didn't actually, but im sure if you hook up a sub to take that low end out of the speakers they will be super good. I am going to try it soon!
the WS-6.2 from Kali pairs really well with these
How bad that resonance in the low med . And how the transient and detiled are usefull for pro mixes. Can i miss any detiled or detiled sound stage
its there but not to to bad
Can i mix professionale with this without subwoofer?
Yeah i think you can
How much clearance does that tethered cable need between the back of the monitor and a wall? I wish they would have right angled the cable so it could be flush, it looks like it pokes out straight out of the back about 3"
It does kinda so up against the wall would prob not work. But Trs will prob do the same!
@@ju1ceaudio Sound is most important, I'm getting a pair delivered tmrw. I tried the Iloud micros and the bass port resonance is too weird for me to mix with so hopefully these feel more natural in the lows
You shouldn’t be putting monitors up against a wall anyway!
@@officialWWM Yeah yeah yeah, I live in nyc. I got them about 3-4" off the wall angled on my desk and sound great. I only listen at 60-65 db at home
@@6832jack fair enough. Gotta do what you gotta do 🤷🏻♂️
I wonder if adding some anti-resonance stuff like no-rez from gr-research would be worth it. It would put it at the same price as the iloud micro monitors, but could outperform them without the resonance?
yeah I have some dyno mat i was thinking about putting there.
@@ju1ceaudio I bet that would be sick.
Present Day Production made a video on the LP-8 where they tamed the resonances and commented on the improvement.
It's a shame that Kali doesn't brace the monitors, but also can't be mad about the value they bring to the table for the price.
Btw I appreciate your videos! Good stuff!
Yeah i saw that video actually! Yeah i was thinking the same thing but for the cost they are killer. Ill let you know if i do it soon!
Thanks bro means alot.
@@ju1ceaudio 💯Definitely would watch!
Mixcube or these?
Mixcubes will always be a secondary monitor, so mixcubes and headphones yes, otherwise no
did you mention the negatives you said you noticed?
Yeah, Just the cord is to short but they fixed that !
@@ju1ceaudio ty but nvm i ordered yamaha hs4 :P
All good bro im sure they are good too!
So is it worth it?
Yeah very much worth it. They sound great.
I will buy these and sell my bigger monitors. The bigger ones don't fit my smaller room.
Nice
unfortunate how odd that hourglass look is. seems such a random frivolous idea. sad.
if kali made stuff that was not so plasticy, like bamboo, their stuff could sell for double the cost. or ascend acoustics should make studio monitors, as they do use bamboo.
Lol Frivolous. I do agree that all of their models look cheap, but I think its to keep the cost down to put the money towards the sound. Which in my opinion I am fine with.
103db.?? Is impossible to play that loud.. 😂
Impossible no, with distortion yes haha
Are you able to measure or hear idle hiss coming from the tweeter?
there zero hiss, and I was very very close to them.
