After using the early Marshall headphones for over 10 years, I got the Marshall Major V. They are just brilliant. Good controllable sound, easy handling, compact storage.
I collect on-ear headphones and, without a doubt, Marshall Major IV is the most comfortable one i own (over Sony, Soundcore, Edifier, JBL on ear-headphones). With that being said, it is disappointing that the Major IV has no app to customize EQ compared to the others. So the Major V having an app is a great upgrade to the Major IV.
Honestly the no EQ is the best part of the major IV For me, they are perfectly tuned, No reason to change anything ever, I LOVED that, I hated having to go mess with that shit on old headphones, marshall made the right choice getting rid of that.
i bought the major 4 back in black friday of 2021, i got left xtremely and i mean xtremely happy with them, from the day i bough them i am using them for at least 7h every day, and i mean everyday for anything. The battery for sure is the strongest feature, after 3 years iam still going 2 weeks without a single charge, and again ,everyday for 7h minimum. Sound is great, style is great, comfortability is great, build quality is great. For sure iam going for the major 5 especially if they drop like 20 bucks/euros like the major 4 did.
I upgraded from Major 3's which I had for almost 5 years. The earcuffs are way more comfortable, but the button feels more flimsy and plastic. I click it accidentally instead of doing any other action way too often. The m-button is actively making them worse. It's useless, it's in the place of the knob from previous models, to make sure veterans accidentally reach for it out of habit. It's has no functionality outside of playing a random song on spotify. It didn't have to be a button, but spotify is getting desperate. Lack of color options is not enticing either. I think those may be the last marshall majors ever if they tank badly
It mostly comes down to a more refined fit and extra comfort in the earcups and headbands. There's newer wireless tech and tweaked drivers, but for the most part, I think people are going to notice the feel more.
Got them last week for less than £100. First reaction…1) bit small ear cups but after wearing them for a bit would not necessary say it is a problem, 2) whilst sound is great it could be an ever slightly louder, 3) agree that the physical knob control def works for me, 4) within app there is an equaliser and when you press the M button (if you decide to have it set for this option) you should be able to switch between all possible sound effects and not just either Marshall and only bass boost or Marshall and only mid reduction etc! Overall 5/5 especially with now lower price!
When on sale it's a great deal. Even for me, I thought they felt a bit small at first, but it's actually part of the reason they're super comfy I think.
I've recently purchased these and I'm quite impressed with the sound. I do like to use wired connection as we all know the sound quality wired is better than Bluetooth - or should be. So here's my problem. Tidal! When you connect these or any BT headphones to the Tidal app up pops a message telling you that Bluetooth compresses the sound quality . .. This is not what I'm paying for with Tidal. So I connected the very thin little supplied headphones cable - no sound!! It turns out that you have to turn the volume up full on both the headphones and your source. For me that's Sony AW45 and my Sony Xperia 10 mobile. It's the only way you can hear anything and I'm not sure that the sound quality with cable is any better.. be interested to hear what others have to say. I must admit the Bluetooth connection is actually rather pleasant to listen to. And the bass definitely there if you need it.
I literally just known that because of you. I was worried if I even breathe it wrongly it might snapped or smt (cuz i just got mine). I have no idea it was this durable. Thank you for your wonderful video of these headphones!

My marshalls 5 does not have that M button under left earcup. It is not getting connected to my iPhone. I Downloaded marshalls app to but the device is not discoverable there either. It only connects to my old one plus phone. Is it Fake marshalls ????? Can someone please tell me???
Not sure why Marshall won't comply with the industry standard of putting the cable connector on the left hand side. And switching the gold joystick/selector from left to right was a terrible move for people who have years of muscle memory with it on the left.
I bought the 4s and had em since they came out just ordered the 5s as I like the new features and the headbands starting to peel 😅. Oh and the batteries getting worse now 😂
Audio quality for phone calls is not the best on these. I still think my AirPods Pro 2 are better for taking calls and I usually switch to them if I'm about to.
If you have bigger ears, they'res a good chance these might feel small on you. With mine, they don't cover all of my ear, but they cover enough that it doesn't feel weird, if that makes sense.
Unfortunatey I don't think these are good for audio calls. The built-in mics still aren't great for clarity and the person on the other side will think you sound distant. They also pick up a lot of unwanted external noise.
It feels impossible to find a pair that fits on my tiny head 😅 I'm so tired of in ears! and we're not allowed to try out the headphones in the stores. I saw a girl wearing these Marshall or some older model of them maby, and they didn't look like a "hat" on her.
