I used to work front desk at a local small hotel. I was…harassed almost every day. One of my bosses would also scream at me in front of guests, and then she actually asked if the job was so horrible because I left with no other job lined up. I had to get out there. Worst job I’ve had.
Bosses who yell at their workers in front of guests/customers need their own special place in hell. I've seen it done to coworkers, I've had it happen to me. I've seen customers and supervisors gang up on workers right in front of others. And then they have the gall to complain people don't want to work as hard as they used to and honestly wonder why there is so much turnover in retail and hospitality.
Missa, I have never related to anything quite as much as "you feel like you're too ugly for natural makeup, even though you're not." I was RELENTLESSLY bullied when I was younger and called ugly all throughout middle and high school. That kind of trauma still sticks with me, even though I have come a long way in my self-esteem. But I still prefer really bold makeup because i feel like a troll without it

Miss I know exactly what you mean when it comes to natural makeup looks. There was a point in time where I thought neutral shades were hard to work with (they still are at times in my opinion) because all I wear is bright bold eye looks 😂😂😂 also congrats on the new job 💕💕💕✨✨✨✨
Congrats on the new job!! I worked in the beauty industry, hairstylist for a long time and got burnt out. I actually left and worked for a dirtbike shop ( BMW, YAMAHA)where at first was just admin position. By the time I left there I was literally doing everything. Manager, DMV, Parts and service writing, Accounting ( I didn't know wtf I was doing beyond AP tho that area lol) & financing. Then after that I helped two start up dirtbike and service centers . It helped I guess that my family owned a dirtbike shop that I worked in highschool at and then I also did hydraulic truck DMV decertification . But I honestly loved it way more than hair. I made way more$ than hair too. I still keep my Cosmo license up to date just in case. Unfortunately I got really sick with long term illness and can't work but hopefully one day I can again and I'd probably choose something in the powersports industry again over a salon.

I feel similarily. I love colorful makeup and it's really the only way I feel comfortable looking in the mirror is putting on my colorful makeup. I don't think of it as a distraction for others though, just for myself. I would prefer if others just didn't notice me but that doesn't happen when I wear colorful makeup. So it's a bit of a catch-22.

Congratulations on your new job! I worked at a hotel for a little over a year- and the night shift was never actually safe- being there alone, I got lucky that nothing happened to me- but the woman who worked there after me had a strange, naked man hiding in the pool area when she went to lock it up at 10pm!
I switched from hospitality to banking specifically for the change in hours, and Sundays and holidays off. Best decision I've ever made.

Natural makeup looks good on you as it shows your great skin . Its a different focus. But your more dramatic eyes are always fab but then that’s the focus.

How do you get your lashes off without tearing your natural lashes off? I struggle with this so I end up trying not to get any glue on my lashes, but then they don’t wanna stay well. You’re stunning btw.
If I’m trying to be careful I’ll soak a cotton pad in micellar water but usually I just yank them off and hope for the best 😆
