  • The workshop aims to address the unique challenges of implementing effective animal welfare programs in informal economies, using India as a case study. One of the reasons this approach is important is because animal advocates often have to work with marginalized groups in informal economies to effect change. For this reason it is best to envision collaborative approaches. Through an interactive and participatory approach, participants explore bottom-up strategies, community engagement tactics, and methods for strengthening institutional support. The workshop consists of two parts:
Part 1: Case Study: India's natural farming movement
    Part 2: Participatory Workshop
Through a group activity, attendees apply their learnings from the case study to uncover practical approaches to garnering community support and fostering grassroots movements for animal welfare.
